SUCH a great book!! This was a great mystery that could have went so many different ways! It kept me guessing!
After Paul Davis is almost killed when happening upon a murder, he is suffering from a host of mental health problems. He is already seeing a psychiatrist to deal with them, when he begins to hear his typewriter typing on its own in the night. Is he going insane? Is the typewriter possessed? Is it linked to the murder?
I love when the main character’s reliability is questionable! That is one of my absolutely favorite things in a mystery/thriller. I love psychological/mental health/substance abuse themes as well because it is my chosen field. So this book was EVERYTHING! I loved it.
I had several different theories throughout this book, but it surprised me! I love that too! And I loved the creep-out factor of the typing in the night! Totally eery!
You need this book if you like a psychological thriller that will keep you guessing! Great book for fans of Linwood Barclay himself or Harlan Coben. It reminded me of one of my FAVORITE books Secret Window, Secret Garden by Stephen King. And any relation to Stephen King is a high compliment because I love him.
Entertainment Value: 5
Characters: 5
Voice: 5
Plot: 5
Overall: 5 stars
Thank you to Edelweiss for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!
