This was a freebie from an author unknown to me. It started reasonably well in a kind of "Lightweight holiday read" way but I guessed one of the main plot themes well before it was revealed. By that time the story was beginning to drag and I hadn't warmed to the main characters either. Then it started to get silly, so by page 138 I decided that I did not care enough to continue.
