To Catch a Spirit (Spirit Chasers, #1)

I received this book as an ARC with the promise to leave an honest review. This is the first novel I have read by Carrie Pulkinen and after finishing To Catch A Spirit, I guarantee that I will be reading more.
Allison is psychic who's afraid of ghosts and Logan is a billionaire with a haunted past and a hidden power. Together can they fight a ghost and find true love?
What follows is a lovely story about human emotions and learning how to let go of the past. The story also covers topics such as depression, suicide, loss, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorders.
The author's writing style was very easy to get into and I was immediately hooked from the first page. I finished the book in just under 3 days and that's only because I had to go to work in between. I even found myself catching a few lines while stuck waiting in the drive thru, I just literally couldn't wait to find out what happened. The characters were completely believable and definitely easy to get behind, character development was great, and the dialogue between characters is very realistic.
There is light swearing in the book, not enough to overwhelm you, but just enough as you would use it in every day conversation. I loved the connection between Allison & Logan, although I have to admit, that hearing how "awesome" and "amazing" Allison was, got a little old. Their relationship did move rather quickly, but hey, sometimes that happens. The only other negative I would say would be that I don't think pyschic is the right word I would use to describe Allison. I'm not sure what the word is, but when I hear pyschic, I assume this is someone who can either a) read minds or (b) tell the future. Allison seems to be more empath than anything. But this is just my opinion
All in all, I am very happy to have received this book, it was a wonderful story and very quick and easy to get into. I will definitely be reading more from this author
