Slaughterhouse-Five

I can recognize parts of the genius of this book, but I also know it’s just not for me. The misogyny is a bit overwhelming. To me, this read like on book just full of pain; I didn’t see much comedy it, I just saw expressions of PTSD and the horrors of war. I can, however, respect Vonnegut’s prose and mind of allegories and metaphors.
“And I asked myself about the present: how wide it was, how deep it was, how much was mine to keep.”
