it was ok

The basic premise of this book is that you have to be a giver in order to succeed in life. Yet this book fails miserably to convince me. While reading it I felt like this book is making quite the opposite effect on me.

The book consists mostly of stories of people who were givers and being a giver made them succeed in life. Yet all of this stories feel like a long shot. What I mean by this is that all of the stories in this book can easily be disproved in favor of other character traits that were responsible for their success. The whole book feels like a "I know a guy who knows a guy" kind of a story.

Then in the final part the author acknowledges that being a true giver makes you a pushover/doormat of a person. Which then the author disproves by claiming that you have to be quote:"Otherish giver". And explains that you have to be a giver only to a certain kind of people, only when that suits you. Seriously!?...

Finally I believe that this book oversimplifies human character by claiming that all human behavior types can be divided into only three groups: givers, takers, and matchers.
