did not like it
bookshelves: read-in-2015

Once I started thinking about racism and degrading other religions I couldn't take this anymore. There was no way to unsee those things and just read it as a fun children's book. What a waste of time. Sorry not sorry.

Oh, and the story itself was boring and aggravating.

Miss Bookiverse Woah, really looking forward to reading this now (I'm on book 4 now I think). I do like the fantastical world of Narnia but a lot of things rub me the wrong way too, mostly with the "just trust and believe in Aslan/God and everything will be fine/no need to take action yourself".

Miss Bookiverse I just realized that "looking foward to" sounds a bit wrong. I'm just curious what I will think of the book and if I will pick up the same racists undertones.

Ryan Johnson so woke...

J_BlueFlower It is worse than that: It teaches children to disrespect other religious. Other gods are foul-smelling demons. That is what the books says!
