really liked it

I was asked to read this book for an honest review plus I read the "Love's Taming" and enjoyed it. The dialogue kept me intrigued. It was a love story and mystery rolled into one so it had a good storyline to keep you reading. I really liked getting to know Matt, the detective, and learning about his past. He was this overprotective macho guy but with good intentions. Being hurt in the past left him in a dark place and you see him come out of it and become himself again. Lily is this ordinary sweet girl who's been blamed for a tragedy all her life and knows nothing of being loved and taken care of. She's always been independent due to an accident and starts to give a little when she meets the overbearing Matt.

There's weren't any characters I really disliked but of course your usual villains. I enjoyed reading this book. It was a simple read, easy to keep up with. I liked the hot sex scenes and the mystery of the storyline. Not a lot of emotion was pulled from me, but very few books do. I'm hard person to pull emotion from. Overall, the plot flowed really well with a few editing errors here and there but nothing major. I would ready more from this author. I would like to see where B.J. and Suzanne end up.
