[close] This group is a safe haven for people that don’t fit within the social norm, or mainstream normal, of society; particularly for people of a different sexuality or gender that is not considered “the norm”. I understand the hardships of being different than the mainstream norm, having gone through tough times myself, and would love to help, hear, or give to people who are going through them now or have gone through them in the past.

[close] The Book Club of the Chicago AVEN (aka asexual and aromantic) group. Mainly created to keep track of potential reads, we meet roughly monthly. All monthly reads feature an Ace or Aro character. While we operate IRL in the suburbs of Chicago, anyone is welcome to join the GR group and start a discussion! We've got a pretty robust bookshelf for those looking for Ace reads. (400 and counting!)
