Carter Morelli had a plan when he left London: deliver the wildlife photographer and then complete his secret mission. Except a lethal enemy has watched their every move. They tampered with the plane, leaving them stranded on a deserted island.
And they kidnapped June Porter, the innocent photographer.
In order to save her, Carter must confront the mysterious man in the jungle.
Who is he? Savior or betrayer?
He has no choice but to face the greatest enemy of all: the powerful feelings that draw him toward both June and the man in the jungle. Those feelings might kill them all.

Natural Disaster is book two in the Deserted Island series by Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde. This is an ongoing trilogy. Each book ends in a HUGE cliff hanger so they must be read in order.
When book one ended, Force of Nature, which is available now, I thought I was going to have a heart attack and the wait for this book was pure torture. This started right up where the previous book left off and things took a different turn than I anticipated. Which should be no surprise with this series! Don’t even try to predict what is going to happen! This is told from the alternating point of views of all three characters. We have Carter Morelli, the college professor known for his study of rhizomes but who also leads a secret life as a spy, for whom I’m still not sure! We have June Porter, the struggling photographer who was merely a passenger on Carter’s plane when it crashed into the not so deserted island in the first book. June is an innocent in all of this but I’m finding she adapts very quickly! To everything!!! And then there is Theo, the man who has lived alone and prefers it that way on his island. The half wild man who is so confused by the things that happen between the three of them, the feelings he has which conflicts with everything he was taught when he was young.
“Maybe you only become a goddess at the most unlikely times.”
As for what happens, there’s literally nothing I can say that won’t be a spoiler. Just know that these three find themselves in one life threatening situation after another. And in between it all, there is that connection between them, always with Carter leading the way. And every time they come together, it’s fire!
I don’t know if it’s just me or if maybe this one didn’t flow quite as easily as the first book. But it did feel a little choppy at times. Regardless, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what happened next. And of course, there is that cliffy. Now for the wait to see how this all turns out in book three, Tropical Storm.
The previous book end with June being kidnapped by the Russians, after Theo give her to them. Now, Carter and Theo have to save her.
Carter would do anything to save June. Theo, regretting what he did, follows Carter, and they won't leave the other island without June. We see a June facing the enemy, the fragile June. The sex scenes are hot, though there's m/m/f scenes, is not in this one we see Carter and Theo going all the way.
Carter needs his family help, and, as usual, he calls Leo. Leo is always the Morelli's saviour. We have guns, sex, tropical storm, and sweet scenes. Now it's time to go back to real life. How the three of them are going to make it work? Theo wants to get back to his island. Carter won't allow it, the enemy knows where he lives, it's not safe. But things won't work as they plan, and this ends, again, with a cliffhanger, this time is on Theo.
Although confused by the feelings June and Theo evoke, and bewildered by the anger he’s feeling at Theo’s betrayal of June, we begin to see the real Carter Morelli. He’s less selfish, more caring, proving he actually has a heart beneath the tough exterior.
Circumstances beyond their control prevent them from resolving their issues or making decisions about their future. However, it’s clear none of them can go back to their old life after experiencing the explosive chemistry they have with one another.
This installment was action-packed and I can’t wait to see what Tropical Storm will bring!

🛑 Be Advised: My Goodreads shelves are … explicit in both senses. As such, they could be considered spoiler-y.
Carter Morelli has evolved in this book from the stoic, non caring, emotionless spy and professor to this man, confused by his feelings for June and Theo and what that would mean for the future. Carter and Theo scramble to rescue June after Theo betrayed her. Sadly, they are found by someone Carter does not expect and realizes her has to reach out to his family and Leo Morelli responds fabulously. Midnight Dynasty is a fabulous series of these feuding families and I have been anxiously waiting for Carter’s story and Skye and Amelia did not disappoint. 5 beautiful cliffhanging stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amelia and Skye make the best duo! This installment has been full of adventure , steam and danger. I absolutely love June and her men. Carter and Theo . Theo and Carter. This was my favorite in the series so far. It was captivating and passionate. A true gem if you love your books extra spicy. Cannot wait for the next one! Beware, there is a cliffy.
Natural Disaster (Deserted Island #2) By Skye Warren & Amelia Wilde
Be careful! It’s getting very hot on this island and it has nothing to do with the sun and everything to do with the three people currently in Theo’s island home.
The next question is has Carter picked the wrong time to go back to the plane crash area? Is June really ready for these two and can Theo be trusted at all???
I love these two authors and having them work together on this series, is well a reader’s wet dream!
The emotions, the fear, the anger and yet through all of that the attraction between Carter, June and Theo almost melted my eReader.
There is nothing good out there, Carter is well aware of that and June has found out the hard way trust doesn’t go hand in hand with attraction. Now though, she’s not even on the same island as Carter and Theo, thank goodness she saw those two fingers held up, she is sure he will get to her, but will Theo be with him.
Adding to all of this the one person Carter never would have thought of being a danger to him…becomes their biggest worry! Is this when you call the cavalry? Will he even answer the call that Carter has to make?
Honestly I was so taken in with this story I couldn’t believe it went by as quickly as it did, considering all the action that occurred, I was sure I missed things, but nope I didn’t miss a thing and now, now I need to know ….. is he still alive???
Five big gold stars for taking me on this wild ride with you and all I can say is can we do this again when Tropical Storm hits the stands in February?
What a riveting and action packed second installment of this DELICIOUS Deserted Island trilogy! After the epic cliffhanger that followed such a salacious and erotic moment between our trio, I was so excited to dive back in to Carter, Theo, and June’s story. The action picks up immediately, with the ramifications of Theo’s decision, June in danger, and Carter trying to navigate saving June while reconciling his warring emotions over Theo’s betrayal, contrition, and their shared lust. Can they forgive Theo for his transgression? Just who has Theo delivered June to, and can Carter get to her in time?
After the last book, I knew this one would be hella sexy and action packed, and from page one this story moves at a breakneck pace. Amelia and Skye delicately weave survivalist danger, external threats and action, and the evolving erotic tension between these three seamlessly- and all keep the pages turning. What really works for me is the insanely interesting dynamic between these characters- the sexual chemistry is THROUGH THE ROOF, panty and kindle melting hot. But we also get even more emotional substance this time as we explore the reasons for Theo’s trauma and puritanical religious doctrine, all that led to his chosen isolation away from civilization. His story makes him a much more sympathetic character, even if his beliefs are fanatical in nature, but he’s easy to forgive, particular given his relative emotional (and sexual) innocence. He’s a man who is clearly working through some complicated indoctrination and trying to break out of the ways in which has manipulated his mind. And fortunately it seems super steamy times with his two lovers catalyzes his evolution.
The action was super engaging, though I’ll admit I found it easy to get lost in. I’m not quite sure I’ve fully wrapped my brain around what they’re up against and why, but it it was fun nonetheless, and I hope for a bit more clarity in the finale. June also felt a bit sidelined as a character given some of the plot constructs and the focus on Carter and Theo’s sexual tension, but Amelia and Skye make up for it with delicious trio smut. Carter continues to captivate me the most- he’s magnetism, his alpha control contrasted with the tenderness his shows to Theo and June, his emotional energy. He’s certainly not the Morelli we knew- and needless to say, his Morelli traits that have been so carefully hidden from us in other books come out in yummy ways. He’s truly a Morelli- edgy, controlling, violent, and powerful. Meow.
This story has been one of the biggest surprises of the year for me- the Morellis I wasn’t quite sure about, a dynamic I wasn’t quite sold on, and survivalist trope that isn’t usually one I love, but Ameliai and Skye have delivered and then some. Of course, we still have unanswered questions, and we have some very big end game twists that will make this finale go a direction I didnt’ quite expect but am super excited about reading. That pivot is going to be loads of fun to explore, and hopefully these three secretive and enigmatic characters can find their throuple HEA.
Book 2 in the series picks up right where Force of Nature left off with immense incredulity and wonderment about what had possessed Theo to do THAT! When Carter hears the plane he just knows something is terribly wrong and seeing Theo on the beach all by himself confirms how things have turned for the worse. But Theo realises what he has done, seeks forgiveness and is determined to help.
Force of Nature is a page turner that will keep you glued to your e-reader. It has intense sexual chemistry between our trio, ferocious weather and dangerous spy games. It is these games that have Carter admitting to himself what June and Theo have become to mean to him.
ARC provided in exchange for a review by
Part of The Deserted Island series and must be read in order:
Natural Disaster picks up right where things left off in book one. June is gone and Carter is determined to get her back.
Things are getting intense for the three of them in this book, not just physically but also emotionally. There is a lot going on and more pieces of the puzzle are falling into place, however, it still leaves a lot in question. The chemistry and the connection between June, Carter, and Theo is continuing to grow. They each have strong individual connections, but also the three of them together are scorching. That ending though….I can’t wait to see where things go next for these three!!
If you’re looking for a forbidden, dark, romantic suspense check this one out.
Natural Disaster cracked my heart wide open! Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde made this romantic suspense equally sinful and heartaching. Carter, Theo and June are caught in middle of a war of passion, emotions and survival games and I am in love with every second of this book.
This is the second book of a trilogy. We left Theo , Carter and June in a dangerous space. Renowned botanist and undercover spy Carter Morelli got stranded in the island with photographer June Porter after their plan crashed due to a sabotage. They met Theo there..a man who ran away from civilization ages ago and has been repenting for unknown sins in his mind. They have this electrifying connection but Theo thought it's best to send June away but he actually handed her over to the worst enemies. Will Carter be able to rescue her? Will they forgive Theo? And what will happen later...when Theo refuse to leave?
I expected this book to be extremely hot. And it was. The MMF/ MFM scenes were scorching hot. But this story was unexpectedly high on emotions! Theo has put himself in a cocoon and these intruders in his island is making him want forbidden things and forcing him to feel foreign and difficult feels. He has quickly bound himself to Carter and June but he still has walls on. I was angry with him for putting June at risk but I also can understand his perspective. In his eyes, June is someone pure and sweet and light and they are corrupting her. He has been pushed to believe such extremes for so long..it's not easy to accept that passion and love are not sins. Carter Morelli has hidden his true profession from his rich and powerful and corrupt family and always kept his dangerous violent side under control. But these heart stopping circumstances left him unbalanced and raw and exposed. He didn’t want to care but there is no denying the fact that he has fallen for the island's reclusive Savage and sweet June. Though June has a silent strength. She holds power over two very explosive men and she is the glue of the group. Carter and Theo goes from violence to filthy ways so easily and I loved that.It was action packed with the characters constantly on move while fighting and surviving. That last twist was heartbreaking and really shocking..and I am eager to see where the story takes us next. This trio will make you feel some very powerful emotions for sure.
This book picks up right where things left off in ʙᴏᴏᴋ 1, and oh damn, this book had me hooked from that prologue to that evil cliffhanger 😪
June a wildlife photographer finds herself in a horrible situation but she knows without a doubt that Carter Morelli will come to her rescue.
Theo, oh man!!! Was really looking forward to what his story was and it sure as hell was heartbreaking. He finds himself breaking June and Carter's trust but, when he realises that his made a huge mistake he is willing to do anything to prove his loyalty.
Carter, a man with secrets. Who doesn't want to admit his feelings for June and Theo but when everything starts falling apart he finds himself willing to do anything and everything to protect the two people he has come to care so deeply for.
This book answered some questions, but with that cliffhanger left so many answered ones, twists and turns, mind-f******-blowing chemistry and steamy as hell moments 🥵 made this one hell of a page turner.
And I just have to say again...the intense chemistry between Carter, June and Theo 🌶️🥵🔥...unfreaken believe!!!!
---need tropical storm ASAP----
𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 Badguys after Carter & Carter Morelli's family who will do everything to help their brother.
That was really, really good! This is the part of the story where our characters lay it all out. They come together, they clash, they force the truth from each other. They are captured, plan escape, run, reach out for help, get battered, and still aren’t safe. It was action, it was steam, it was raw and emotional, and it made me want them to be happy so much it hurt. Love these three and can’t wait to see how their story plays out <3
Kindle Unlimited: No Stand-alone: No- Deserted Island Trilogy Author: Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Spiciness Rating: 3/5 🌶 POV: First Person Triple Perspective Main Couple: Carter, June and Theo Trope(s): Billionaire, Forced Proximity, Protector, MFM
‘Carter gives him a dark, hungry smile. “Show me what you did to our woman.” Our woman. The words make me shiver with desire. And a little trepidation I belong to two men. And, they’re going to tear me apart. ‘
Skye and Amelia are taking us down the Rabbithole of the Morelli and Constantine family saga with the elusive Carter Morelli’s story. And, Mother of God, Professor Morelli is all about taking control and June and Theo are here for it all. Carter is walking sex, June is innocence personified, and Theo is feral and this Tarzan retelling is so delicious. I read this book in one day… one day y’all and I have zero regrets. The energy of the book is on HIGH from the first pages and does not stop until, well, the cliffy. So, hold on to your hearts because the unknown will haunt us until we get the conclusion.
Natural Disaster picks up where Force of Nature left us.. Theo “saving” June. Theo’s betrayal has both Carter and June hurt and confused. We get Theo’s back story. We are reminded how he has spent the majority of his life in seclusion.
Carter quickly realizes his cover is blown and the real reasons why June would be taken. All signs point right back to him.
June knows Carter will come for her and she is prepared to fight until he does.
Carter reaches out to the one person on earth he can trust explicitly- his brother Leo.
These three need to work as a unit to survive long enough to get back to New York.
But, before that they must face an entire other truth- the depths of their feelings for one another.
Oh my gosh! I've been dying for this book and it didn't disappoint!
"He isn't our choreographer, he's the sun. And the rain. He's the elements swirling around in this ecosystem, leaving both me and Theo at his mercy."
The storyline picks right up from the first book and it explodes right out of the block at a fast sprint. This instalment was pacy, exciting and just as stark as the first book, packed with raw emotions and intense chemistry.
"Even if it means a painful goodbye, I'll follow him until the end. Until he takes his last step on the island, I'll be there."
Theo's voice was prominent as he fought against his upbringing, and everything he has held to be true in order to survive living on the island on his own. His desires warred with his morals but, ultimately, he yearned for human connection and love. Carter's voice was equally dominant as he was clearly the alpha of our trio. As he fought to maintain protocol and distance, June and Theo basically took a battering ram to his heart. June was courageous in the face of her kidnappers, but when she with the Theo and Carter, she pretty much went with the flow - she was so open and receptive to whatever the guys wanted. Her heart was wide open for them both and she knew without a doubt that she belonged to them. I absolutely loved how the emotional rope tightened around all three of them, binding them together irrevocably. Gah! I'm so excited for the final part to this fabulous trilogy.
Natural Disaster (Deserted Island #2) by Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde starts out with a more in depth look into Theo. We also get the how and why June was taken. I really enjoyed this story. Each had their own struggles as it pertained to their sexual escapades. Theo struggles due to his religious upbringing and his warped beliefs. All he knows is he likes the way he feels as well as feels sick due to the way he feels. June who was a virgin before these two is just discovering her sexual desires and having these desires for 2 men is sending her into a tizzy. And finally we have Carter, who one being a Morelli is an issue in itself. He has always been bisexual so that isn't a problem but being a spy and a loner is a set of issues all by themselves. As Carter deals with his feelings he also has to try and get June back. I can say I read this story from being to end without stopping until I was finished. Yes this story ended on a cliffhanger and I am so there for the conclusion to their story. And the cherry on the top was Carter's interaction with Leo and Eva. I have to confess Leo is my favorite Morelli and Eva is next in line. 4 stars for me.
ooh weeee! Natural Disaster is breathtaking, thought-provoking, heartbreaking and basically a roller coaster of intrigue, angst and danger. Soul shattering. All encompassing. Heart wrenching. Erotic. Utterly unforgettable. June, Carter AND Theo are gritty, dirty, raw, intense, and complicated. I was completely engrossed by this story. Absolutely stellar!! The next installment can't come fast enough.
Someone give Carter a hug. I feel like he carries the weight of the world trying to keep Theo and June safe. I really enjoyed this continuation of the plane crash/desert island/menage romance. Theo is still warring against his emotions and his upbringing. His isolation has left him closed to emotion and to feelings without guilt. I loved the simplicity in the way he looked at things. He brought a certain innocence to the story. His strength and his willingness to submit were great fun to read.
This book is a bit of a whirlwind. So much happens and you get swept up in their love. Its not easy for them though with threat and danger awaiting them. They dont really get time to find their feet and find security in one another. And it ends on a cliffhanger.
These three are gorgeous to read with some sparky chemistry. I just want them to have some peace to be happy and explore their dynamic.
I enjoyed this so much and need the last part of Theo, June, and Carter’s trilogy. This picks up right where book one left off and on another cliffhanger but I loved Carter more in this one cause there’s so much brought out about him and why he is how he is but his sheer determination to get June made me love him
This second book the the Deserted Island trilogy is so good!! It picks up right where Force of Nature left off and Carter is not at all happy with Theo. June has been taken captive. Carter will do anything to get her back and Theo will help in hopes of atonement. We learn a lot about Theo. What makes him tick, his past life. I fell a little more in love with him.
Please don't tell Leo, but Carter may be my new favorite Morelli. He will do anything to keep Theo and June safe. Between the people after him and a violent storm it's not easy.
Natural Disaster is fast passed, full action and off the charts hot AF sexy times, that leaves you on the edge of your seat. And the cliffhanger? OH. MY. GOD!!!
I was on the edge of my seat practically the whole book! This picks up right where I was left on the floor, feeling betrayed! Why Theo? This is the same question Carter has. Now they must work together to get June back.
They seem to struggle with their feelings for one another, especially the men, for different reasons. So angsty, especially for Theo.
Be prepared for another cliffhanger! I can't wait for the next book!
Thank you so much to the authors and Xpresso Tours for this ARC to review!
Talk about a mega cliff hanger. Carter, June and Theo are back in the second book of this trilogy. They are faced with multiple situations they must face together if they’re ever going to survive who even is hunting them. Carter and Theo feel they’re both loners and that is the only way they’ll survive. June is the tender glue holding this threesome together. Will long held beliefs make it impossible to move forward in life and love. Hang on for the ride as these three struggle to survive… together.
Carter Morelli is a dangerous savage underneath it all. And if you have any doubts about it ... Just don't . Because that'll be the last thing that you'll do . And Theo , the wild island man is his perfect match entirely. And June rules along with them both, because she sees them both for what they really are. And she's equal to them and is part of it all , she doesn't shy of anything . She analyses everything she sees and is not afraid to play dirty to survive. And she knows for sure that Carter will find her so she fights for the chance that to happen. Under the sweet sunshine persona of June is hidden a warrior who found her purpose in life and fights for it . Natural Disaster starts where Force of Nature ended and the story just continues flawlessly. This suspense romance is full of fast paced action, chemistry of the charts and steaming hot scenes between the characters. Carter, Theo and June are a hot mess together . Add a tropical storm and the enemy to be someone that Carter doesn't expected and you have the perfect formula for this suspense romance. And it ends on a cliffhanger . Again . And I can't wait for Tropical Storm , the last book in The Desert Island Trilogy .
I received an ARC copy of this book by Give Me Books Promotions and this is my honest review .
If the preceding stories haven’t already blown your mind and ripped out your heart, NATURAL DISASTER will certainly do it for you. Carter, June, and Theo are in for the fight/flight of their lives in this story. Emotions run extremely high and passions deep, and it doesn’t take long to again become thoroughly engrossed in and easily captivated by their tale. If nothing else, the ending is sure to leave your heart bared and in your throat, hoping for the best, but fearing the worst, and definitely wanting to know where it’s all heading.
This is the second part of The Deserted Island trilogy. Skye Warren and Amelia Wilde's writing is virtually flawless, and the story itself is so captivating, I read it in one sitting. Can't wait to see what happens with Carter, June and Theo in Tropical Storm, which is the conclusion to this riveting story, and comes out in February 2023!
This is a fast-paced, action-packed enjoyable read. This picks up from where book one left off but ends with another what the eff moment. The sexy times were on point, the development of the characters is continuous as feelings are explored and accepted. I adore the connection and chemistry between the three. All in all, this was a one sit read that left me needing the final book in this trilogy ASAP!
