Almost one year ago she met a real-life book boyfriend (in a real-life romance book store) and spent the day falling in love…and never stopped. He helped her land her dream job and moved her into his Culver City mansion. Eleven months later, Mike is bringing Jordyn to his parent’s 35th Anniversary party. When she comes face to face with over thirty years of a happily ever after, she begins to wonder if her own love story will have the same staying power. This short story could be read as a standalone or as a bonus epilogue to Blind Date With A Book Boyfriend. It’s full of swoony moments, cinnamon rolls, lots and lots of steam, and has NO cheating.

Lucy Eden is the nom de plume of an romance obsessed author who writes the kind of romance she loves to read. She’s a sucker for alphas with a soft gooey center, over the top romantic gestures, strong & smart MCs, humor, love at first sight (or pretty damn close), happily ever afters & of course, steamy love scenes.
When Lucy isn’t writing, she’s busy reading—or listening to—every book she can get her hands on— romance or otherwise.
She lives & loves in New York with her husband, two children, a turtle & a Yorkshire Terrier.

Jordyn & Mike are back for a quick installment. It's sort of a prequel as we get the scoop about the news we learned in the end of the last book. I can't say too much for such a short book, but it was cute.
I still think this couple is adorable, but I also agree with Natasha Allen that this would have made a nice epilogue for the first book since this short story occurs chronologically before the epilogue for that first book (it's so confusing to word). The H and h are attending the H's parents' anniversary party and there's some mention of what life is like. There's also a bit of insecurity on the part of the h in this one, though it's really just a blip, and it might have worked better for me to have expanded on this slightly. But they're still very much in love and there is some steaminess and additional sweetness between the couple, plus the cuteness of the H's family, who also love the h. I also thought there were a few more errors in this short story that bugged me somewhat. On to the next short story though, I need my last bit of them!
Written in first person, dual POV. No ow/om drama and both are experienced.
Seriously, Mike and Jordyn are just the swooniest best. I just wish their stories were longer. If you haven't read the novella A Blind Date with a Book Boyfriend, go read that and then read this one. This is a short with a scene that is mentioned in the main novella. It's short. It's sexy. And boy, can Mike, our book boyfriend do no wrong. Where are guys like this in real life?! For real! I would be happy getting more and more of this couple. And maybe his sister too. Because their parents are pretty awesome too.
I love that we got a bit more of these love birds story!!!! Mike and Jordyn are 11 months into their relationship and still head over heels in love. The rationale behind the title is sweet and sentimental. I want more...
CW: insecurity and questioning self worth
Heat level: Hot 😘
I was provided early access to read and review this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. I basically bugged her for it 😂

Review : Very cute and spicy
Jordyn and Mike goes to his parents anniversary party and they get spicy in the closet. Jordyn also tells Mike she sometimes feels insecure in their relationship I love how Mike reassures her .

I’m not going to lie, BDWBB took me completely by surprise, evoking memories of the movie ‘Before Sunrise’ when two complete strangers connect and spend the entire day together getting to know one another.
Now we revisit Mike and Jordyn on the evening of his parents 35th Wedding Anniversary and his parents are even more in love, if that’s even possible. Thereby, giving Jordyn both hope, and impossible standards to live up to, and adding just a little bit of insecurity regarding whether Mike can go the distance. Mike’s in tune and knows exactly what she needs to combat her negative thoughts.
This story is short and sweet and reminded me of all the reasons why I love this couple. I’d like to see novellas about all the milestones in their life. I hope they stay around for a very, very long time.
35 YEARS was a really cute short and I loved getting to read about Jordyn and Mike again. And for a short less than 40 pages this really packed a lot of steam! As a couple these two are sweet, loving, and funny and I'm glad we got a little more time with their story.
These two really are adorable!! I think the only reason I didn’t enjoy it quite as much and didn’t rate it higher is because these happens before the epilogue in the previous book. And I didn’t realise that until basically the end. So the whole time I was a bit confused and chronologically things didn’t make sense.
So I think I it would have been better to make THIS the epilogue and then the previous epilogue would have been this story. If that makes sense?
I was very excited to get a peek at what Jordyn and Mike are up to. This story provides the events prior to the epilogue in the first book and fills in a few gaps.
It wasn't as funny as the first due to our girl being up in her feelings and processing some insecurities. I absolutely love Mike and his devotion to her and how he handles her insecurities. I love this couple so much.
This short story is super cute and packed a lot into just a few words.
While the main Blind. Date with a Book Boyfriend novella is 🌶🌶, the short stories are definitely 🌶🌶🌶 because they’ve already jumped into the relationship at that point.
I liked the premise of their meet-cute and found it totally plausible, and the short stories just show how their relationship matures and grows.
Absolutely loved this sweet little novella with Jordyn and Mike! Little did I know before I read it, that it was the second in a mini series 🤦🏻♀️. But that's okay. Because I still loved it just as much as I would have if I would have started book 1. These characters in such a short time were endearing and real within the circumstances they were given.
I would have felt the same way Jordyn did, because that is a hard place to be in. In front of sooo many people who are super judgemental. It would be hard not to be insecure when your constantly being compared to everyone else.
Getting to know Mike's parents and how much they love Jordyn was such a sweet moment. And for them to tell their love story on their 35th wedding anniversary and see it mirrored in Mike And Jordyn was the cherry on top!
I loved the spicy scenes we had within because it really broke up the more somber scenes that would have been a little slow to get through. It was the perfect read!
I'm reviewing all three novellas as one as they come all together in a bundle in the audiobook. OMG! Do you know that book that leaves you grinning and giddy and makes you feel like everything is right in the world? Well, these novellas! Lucy Eden writes a love letter to Romance lovers. The MMCs even have their meet-cute at a bookstore (The Ripped Bodice no less!!). Jordyn is in Culver City from NYC to interview for her dream job. She walks into the bookstore to get a book to pass her time before THE interview. She leaves the store with a gorgeous, romance-reading cinnamon roll who is funny, charming and sweet. And they spend the weekend exploring Culver City and falling in love. But there is one pesky little nugget of information about Mike that may end this fairy tale of a romance before it even begins... until love wins in the end! I loved, loved, loved these! Lucy Eden gives a ton of romance tropes weaved into these short novellas and it's the perfect palate cleanser. It's that book that you just want to listen to and ENJOY. Narration: Narrated duet by the lovely Wesleigh Siobhan as the sassy, funny Jordyn and Oscar Reyes as the dreamboat Mike. Now allow me to have a tiny freakout: Where has this man been that he hasn't spoken in my ears before????? Sweet Baby Jay Zoos. Mike is swoony on paper but Oscar sends him off the charts in the swooniness department with his narration. I found new favorite! *headstoAudibletogeteverysinglethingshesnarratedsofar*
Book number two of the series is set about a year from when Jordyn and Mike first met. This book gives readers a glimpse into Jordyn and Mike's relationship. This book opens as Mike and Jordyn are getting ready for his parent’s 35th Anniversary party. Throughout this novella Jordyn is plagued by doubts about her relationship with Mike. These doubts include is she good enough and will she fit in with his ritzy family. Mike to his credit does his best to melt away her fears. One aspect of the novella that I found a bit strange is the jumping between timelines. What I mean by this that in the epilogue of book one we find out that Jordyn and Mike are engaged and pregnant however in book two they appear to only be dating. I have to admit I kind of found this novella to be lackluster as it didn't really have a storyline. This book was quite steamy for being only 50 pages, it felt as if I was reading one giant sex scene.

Lucy Eden’s 35 Years is a sequel to her lovely book, Blind Date With A Book Boyfriend. Jordyn and Mike are still going strong as a couple and are about to attend his parents’ thirty fifth wedding anniversary. This short book is only four chapters long but Ms. Eden packs enough heat, angst and character development to both entertain and expand her readers. As with her first book, we get a sweet couple that we really care about. The book is again completely from Jordyn’s POV...I would like to have heard from Mike directly but I won’t complain....maybe next time . I liked how much Mike’s family embraced Jordyn. The minor conflict in the story centered around Jordyn’s feelings of insecurity about their relationship. How Mike shows her that she has no need to worry is priceless.

I was glad to see that there is a follow up to Blind Date with a Book Boyfriend. What I like even more is that you do not have to read the first book to understand the second. The writer gives you a quick synopses at the start of the story as told by Jordyn about how she met Mike as they prepare to go to his parents anniversary party. The sweet romantic way the couple act toward each other is still there and you get to see his family accepts her. Yet several months later Jordyn has insecurity demons still plaguing her, even though Mike constantly shows how much he loves her.. Will this make or break the love that the couple has for each other? I wish that this had been longer or more in-depth as I feel one night was not enough.

My Review: I just can’t get enough of Jordyn and Mike. I love the relationship they have and I can’t help but adore them. Although I really enjoyed this short story, I really wished it would’ve been a bit longer so we could see more of Jordyn and Mike. This was an extremely quick read and devoured it in 30 minutes, or less. I really liked Mike’s family and was so excited to get to see a little more of them. What a wonderful addition to, Blind Date with a Book Boyfriend. It can be read as a standalone or read as an extra epilogue. (I would personally recommend you read, Blind Date With a Book Boyfriend, first. You get more out of it if you know a bit of Jordyn and Mike’s story before hand.) If you are looking for an adorable romance, this is it!
This is exactly the type of book you want when you've had a tough day and just need a quick feel-good story! Jordyn accompanies Mike to his parents' 35th wedding anniversary and seeing how much in love his parents still are, Jordyn experiences some insecurities and begins to wonder how far her and Mike will make it. Mike senses her insecurities and knows just how to make it better for her and clear out her negative thoughts. Their story will have you smiling and laughing and definitely lift your spirits if you're having a bad day. A really cute story - loved it

OMG – close to a year later! Love this extended version of the initial book. This is about Jordyn and Mike. Almost a year ago they met at a bookstore and now they are together about to head to his parents 35-year anniversary party only to end up questioning if she was worthy of him. Well, those notions went away when he took her to the closet!!! This was a fun short book and I love to hear more of these two as they are a favorite couple of mine as it is.

This was an extended épilogue of Lucy Eden's initial book "Blind Date with A Book Boyfriend." Mike and Jordyn are going to his parents for their 35th anniversary. Jordyn starts to question her relationship with Mike and whether she's the right woman for him. This was a quick and sexy read. You don't have to read the first book but I would highly recommend reading the first book simply because it's a fantastic read!

Mike is a true book boyfriend and who would not want to have a boyfriend like Mike. They met a year earlier at a book store and have been together since. They are headed to the parents of Mike and their anniversary party. Jordyn starts to question herself and if she is the right one for Mike. He puts that to rest and this is a short stand alone but it is also a bonus epilogue. These characters are wonderful and the story flows really well.

I enjoyed reading more about Jordyn and Mike and to read that 11 months later they are still together and so in love, because they fell hard and fast for each other on Blind Date With a Book Boyfriend. This is a short, romantic and spicy story, it can ge read alone but I think I enjoyed it more because I had read their first story.

I received a free copy of this short epilogue from the author, and when I got the email, I was ecstatic! I love Jordyn and Mike from Blind Date With a Book Boyfriend, and this was the cherry on top of their story. I loved that we got to see more of Mike’s personal life and the coat closet scene was steamy! The only thing I wish was included was the proposal. Hopefully, we’ll get the proposal and the wedding in another short epilogue.
