Wages of Sin #2

Play Dirty

Rate this book
“When you talk, chaos follows and I forget who I am.”

Madigan has spent his life indulging in the world’s most hedonistic pursuits, his skills as a sharpshooting killer-for-hire paying his way.

Azrael, an assassin referred to as the angel of death, is a chemist and a loner, his poisons as lethal as they are undetectable.

A chance encounter leads to a passionate night and a heated rivalry that spans years, but after they’re both offered a chance at big money by taking out elite targets on a mysterious hitlist, they find themselves once again in each other's way. And then in each other’s arms.

Trust doesn’t come easily for either of them, but no matter how far they stray, fate always seems to pull them back together. In a profession where your partner is just as likely to kill you as kiss you, maybe trust is as close to love as they get?

Play Dirty is a steamy, action-packed thrill ride of a romance with a HEA and no cliffhangers. It features two stubborn rival assassins who can’t seem to stop tempting each other, a bit of knife play, a Die Hard-style Christmas, plenty of dark humor, and true love. Because even assassins deserve their soulmates. This is book 2 in the Wages of Sin series. Each book will follow a new couple.

5 “I don’t trust anybody. I trust you.” stars

“What is there for people like us? Nothing.”  “Wrong. We could have each other.’’

Look, this year has been really shitty, we all know that and it’s been so hard for me to be able to really enjoy reading in the last few months and I had so fun reading this that it makes it deserve a solid 5 stars for that reason alone.

First things first, i’ll admit that I was a bit lost as to who the characters are, but that is a pain I inflicted on myself because I started book one a couple times and I couldn’t get into it so I just gave up on reading it for now because i’m in a reading funk and if i’m not madly interested in a book, I just can’t read it. But when I read the blurb of this one, I was so damn interested. I love me a good ennemies to lovers and this one promised me rival assasins and knife play, which i’m really into. So I jumped on it. I feel like I understood most of the book still but I definitely was a bit lost as to who is who because I haven’t read the first book in this series. It didn’t change my enjoyment of the book though.

I had such a good time reading this book, it was so much fun and I loved following these two around while they commited their assasin things. It was such a fast passed book and it always kept me interested into reading more of it, I just wanted to know what would happen to these guys.

I adored how the book showed us how our two rivals assasins relationship changed and developed over time. I loved how they stayed rivals for a big part of the book. But you still could tell that they were developing feelings for each other. I loved how they developed a game and stole each other’s kills in order to have sex with each other. God that was so good. I really loved how these two’s relationship developed, it was just the best.

I loved Azrael and I loved Madigan and together they’re so damn fierce. I loved Azrael and how he still has a bit of humanity, even if he’s an assasin. I loved how it was shown that these two are cold bloded assasins, but they still have some soft spots to and fell in love with each other.

I also loved the power exchange. God I loved these two alpha assasins just submitting to the other at any given time and then switching it up. So damn good.

He loved that they were like this, loved that he could pin Azrael against a wall and hammer mercilessly into him, hold his hair and fuck his throat until his voice was raw, and then be bent over a counter and given the same rough treatment only to wake up to the uniquely tender pleasure of Az already thrusting inside him, taking what he wanted without apology.

Also, a good example of how much fun I had while reading this: there was miscommucation, a lot, these two could barely talk to each other at first BUT I found myself not really caring because I was enjoying the book so damn much.

Special mention to the sex scenes, goddam were they hot. So damn hot. These two are on fire together and I loved their constant fights for power to see who would be on top and I loved the knife play, it made the sex scenes even better.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange of my honest opinion.

First of all, hands off to the way the characters were developed. I loved both of them. They complimented each other perfectly. Chemistry was off the charts. I totally loved it.

“𝐈𝐟 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝, 𝐛𝐮𝐭, 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐰, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮.”

Their banter was the best thing ever. I could read them pissing each other off forever. It's entertaining af.

The plot wasn't too deep or complicated but it still grabbed my attention. The romance was the main event anyway so... It delivered. The sex was burning hot. The knife play really did get me hooked more than I thought. Their power dynamic was the shit. I loved how they were so tit for tat in every way.

A stunningly brilliant second installment

Jeeeze that was spectacularly good. I loved book one but this took the series into a whole other level.

I'm not sure where I want to start with reviewing this one - the plotting perfection, the adrenaline rush, the chemistry between our two assassins, the banter or their dysfunctional family of equally dubious characters.

I've also surprisingly discovered a fascination for a new kink that I honestly wouldn't have ever gone looking for.

Done here, it was so integral to the relationship between Azrael and Madigan that it never felt like it was a specific thing, it was just them.

And there was something deeply primal about the feelings it created, which enforces the bond between them.

As with book one, I felt the narrative was totally satisfying, the bad guys were a genuine threat and tensions ebbed and flowed throughout.

New characters were introduced and intriguing and I totally did not match up the next pairing at all.

I had my eye on another potential partner for the good doctor of psychology so that gives me hope for a book for too!

Just gutted book three isn't getting here until May 😁

ARC kindly received from the authors in exchange for an honest review.

Let me start by saying that I LOVED book 1. But I simply ADORED this book.

Madi and Az are unforgettable as characters AND as a couple. They were simply captivating and the book itself was one of those books that you can't put down. #EyesWideOpen

WHAT I LOVED!!

1. The Characters:
- Madigan: Madi came across as an asshole in Book 1... And he's still an asshole here! #yayForConsistency
But he is the most lovable one I have read in a very long time. Why? Because as much as he tries to be a cold hearted assassin, who couldn't care less about anything or anyone, he is in fact a softie, with a tender vulnerable heart who was betrayed, and longing for someone to make him trust again. That contradiction in his personality is what attracts you to him, and it is also what attracts Az to him. #Layers

-Azrael...
This Angel of Death has lived up to his name as a top assassin, but when it came to Madi, he just melted. The big bad assassin who almost everyone was afraid of, fell hard and didn't see it coming. Az was simpler to understand, and he accepted his feeling faster than Madi. for Madi he was soft and domestic and sweet. #AWholeNewWorld

2. The Plot:
Az and Madi had been picking names from the Deadpool, and while doing that they uncover a big trafficking organization. I loved the progression of this part of the story. It was fast paced and exciting and went hand in hand with the progression of the relationship. This part of the book never overshadowed Az and Madi's relationship which is I adored. #PartnersInCrime

3. The Romance:
These men where sweet and romantic and filthy and sexy and kinky and I could go on and on. The way they danced around each other was a sexy tease and then like magnets they couldn't help their attraction. They inevitably came together again and again #PunIntended
I loved the fact that their feelings took time to manifest. It wasn't intsa-lovey, which for assassins would have been super unbelievable. They took their time, and the road to their HEA was not an easy one. With betrayal and distrust paving the way, they needed to work hard for their love to survive. #AnythingForYou

4. The Heat:
HOLY EXPLODING OVARIES BATMAN!

The sex scenes were seriously HOT AS FUCK! What made them hotter as well was the fact that these guys were processing and expressing their feelings through the sex. That made their love making/fucking full of feels too.

5. The HEA:
It was a great way to end the book, to show not only the relationship between Az and Madi, but also the unconventional family they had with Jonah, Cas and all the others. It was sweet with a hint of danger that will surely follow Az and Madi wherever they go.

Honorable Mentions:
PowerPoint presentations. You'll figure out why when you read the book.

I can't wait for the rest of this series. If it keep its momentum, it's gearing up to be unforgettable.

I really enjoyed this installment! Az and Madigan are stone-cold killers; dangerous, dominant alphas who have a "relationship" that pits them against each other while meeting up for some hot sex once in a while and all the time growing more and more attached. Trust is almost harder to admit than love for the two.

There is plenty of action, some fun amongst the bodies dropping and amazing chemistry between the two men. A bit of knife play and shifting D/s dynamics in bed top it all off. There is some real emotion hiding beneath the dirty sex and mayhem and I enjoyed it all.

There is some carryover from the first book, including character appearances and a continuation of the deadpool storyline, but I think it could work as a standalone. Looking forward to the next book!

Even better than the first! 🔥 🔥 This was a high octane, adrenaline filled ride. Though, for it to be a story about ruthless assassins, most of the adrenaline was between Madigan and Azrael. Their appetite for each other was fueled equally by danger *from each other*, distrust and violence, and I’ve never denied I’m a bit twisted, because that’s like candy for me and this was a treat indeed.

I’m all for continuing this deadpool because I like that our killers have their own code of honor and lines they won’t cross, and I’m definitely in favor of their end goal. 👿 What I want to know is, does Sadie get her own book, or does she come to the rescue every time? 😂 Honestly, I’d be ok with that too.

This series is awesome entertainment, I look forward to the next.

Loved it! This has a different vibe to book 1 as Madi and Az already have something going or building from the onset. Az and Madi hook up, and Az tampers with Madi's hit starting a game between the 2. When the deadpool comes about, Az asks Madi to team up and the 2 have to decide if what they have can survive and if they can trust the other.
Lots and lots of steamy scenes (like seriously) with some knife play and shifting power dynamics. I really enjoyed the banter that Madi and Az had. Jonah, Cas and Sadie all appear. This cannot be read as a standalone

Author redeemed themselves with this one. The first was Neve Wilder AND Onley James and now it's only Onley James. No clue whether it's 2 ppl or 1 person. All I can say is this one is better than the first.

My issues are:
1. still not a fan of the cheesy covers
2. assassins don't talk like this

So there's still a level of authenticity that's missing. But otherwise, much better than book 1.

I loved this, absolutely adored and devoured it. Loved it even more than the first book in this series, I'd say.

I was excited for Madigan's story and this one did not disappoint. The other assassin we met at the end of book one, Az, has actually been in Madi's life a lot longer than we're lead to think.

In this we find out that about three years or so, maybe a little less, to the present day in this one, these two met and fucked - without knowing the other was an assassin on the same job.

After they fucked, though, Az did some snooping and found out and sabotaged Madi from doing the job, getting one up on him so he could do it himself.

Thus started years of fierce competition between the two to one up each other to get a kill first, if they were at the same place at the same time doing the same kill. So every few months or so. Andddd of course, whenever they were in the vicinity, they would still fuck each other.

There was alway something more with them, but they are ruthless assassins and they obviously don't know how to emotion well at all, so it takes quite awhile for them to realize feelings have emerged, especially on Madi's side.

But because of this deadpool list, they're both after these high profile, big money kills and the competition remains, even as they can't keep their hands off each other...and until Az, who is a tad more in touch with his feelings - not saying much though, as he isn't too much better than Madi himself - is starting to realize said feelings before Madi and proposes that they work together and split the money.

Madi is weary but ultimately agrees - because he too, can't stay away from Az when the opportunity presents itself.

But these are two idiots in love, and on top of that...mostly cold-hearted assassins, so they don't play by normal rules. And they don't trust easy.

When things go a little tits up during a job, things get rocky, and their feelings are tested. But as they've been spending more and more time together, the feelings are starting to become apparent to them, and they can't hide from them for long.

I loved this, I loved these two together. The chemistry was spot on, the sex scenes were hot AF and exactly as dirty as the the title suggests ;). And there was also love under all of it, unending, forever type of love, that these two needed some help to figure out and deal with.

See, even assassins can find true love ;).

Just a top notch second installment and my favorite so far. Interesting that the next one is about Soren and Eastman (a new character in this one who play a role in helping them take down the bad guy...or should I say...even badder guy lol) and I can't wait.

I absolutely love this series so far, and I loved these two together a bunch. Two MASSIVE thumbs up from me.

Highly recommend!

Re-Read: Mar 2024
Original Read: Oct 2022

(side note: if you're curious about what the endearments mean that Az uses for Madi throughout the book, I've listed translations at the bottom of this review)

I loved this so much! When I think of my idea for the perfect romance between two hitmen who are both alpha males, this is exactly what I envision. The MCs were perfect, their relationship was amazing and I loved how everything in the story (suspense stuff, side characters etc) were there to enhance the relationship between the MCs. This book was perfection from start to finish for me and it's one of my favorite enemies to lovers romances of all time.

As a small aside, I've tagged this as BDSM because of some minor knife play that takes place, but it's really minor in terms of how often it happens. I recall only two small scenes of a knife being used and only the later scene actually involves the knife doing any cutting. It's so minor that somebody could easily skim past that paragraph but it does represent a really important milestone in the MCs' relationship.

I adored both Madigan and Azrael. I felt the beginning was a little bit rushed with the MCs having a one night stand that kickstarts their fuck-buddy relationship as well as their hitmen-rivalry and then we abruptly jump forward 2 years. During these two years, they've continued this constant back and forth and I would have loved to see more of that, but I ended up not minding because rushing through those two years gave the MCs a strong foundation that was used to fuel the rest of the story.

One of my favorite types of relationship dynamics is having two strong, violent alpha males coming together because the resulting relationship is so interesting. They're equally strong, which puts them on equal footing and they can be rough with each other without having to worry about causing real harm. They're used to solving problems using violence but they usually realize very quickly that romantic partnership issues tend to get worse with the application of violence so they end up having to work on their communication skills and other things in order to make their relationship survive. In addition, I loved that they identified that the other person is more than capable of taking care of them the way they need so they took turns swapping between being dominant and submissive in the bedroom, which was wonderful.

I also really appreciated that the authors purposefully structured the book so the majority of the narrative had the MCs spending time together in isolation. This gave plenty of opportunity for smoking hot smut scenes (thank you, Neve Wilder!) and also quiet domestic moments between them that progressed their relationship.

By 50%, the boys are pretty much living as domestic partners and everything's very sweet and wonderful, but I was wondering what the authors would do with the rest of the story. Thankfully, the authors were on the ball and at that 50% mark when everything had been going so well, suddenly everything crumbles for the boys - both professionally and personally. Having the professional stuff go wrong was a nice surprise because they're both highly competent hitmen who plan as thoroughly as they can for every hit but nobody can anticipate every tiny detail and that's exactly what happens here. This actually happened multiple times in the book, which made the suspense plotlines a thrilling ride and added a sense of realism to Madigan and Azrael's jobs. On a small note, I also really appreciated that both MCs were professionals through and through and when they were on a job together, they stayed focused on what had to be done and kept their personal problems on the side.

The personal problems that temporarily tear them apart were also done really well because it's a result of these two dumb-dumbs not knowing how relationships work and not realizing that keeping certain things to themselves was a dumb move. It wasn't manufactured drama and it didn't feel ridiculous because their mistakes fit their personalities and lack of relationship experience.

I loved everything about their relationship: the terms of endearments Az used for Madi, the wonderful switching back and forth between tenderness and roughness in the bedroom, the way these two loved being together and how easily they settled into domestic routines no matter where they were living or for how long etc. One of the funniest but also sweetest moments was when . If that doesn't demonstrate how committed they are to their relationship, I don't know what does.

Unfortunately, the other side characters didn't interest at all so I'm not going to read anything else in the series, but this story was really top notch and it deserves all the praise it's getting.

(In case anybody else was wondering what the terms of endearments mean that Az uses for Madi throughout the book, I did some research to look them up - WHY DON'T AUTHORS PROVIDE TRANSLATIONS IN THEIR OWN BOOKS?!? - and I think I found what they mean. The most common endearment used is motek, which is Hebrew for sweetheart, janum/jaanum is soulmate in Farsi and meri-jaan means my life in Urdu)

Two men meet at a bar.... sounds like a corny joke?! Nooooo, it sounds like it's about to get sizzling hot! What happens when you meet your best enemy who is everything you need but so do not want - a journey to love strewn with sharp knives, angry heat and betrayal. Madigan and Azrael finally learn that love makes them stronger, that they are better together than apart and that trust goes both ways.

Two men live dangerously on edge. The chance encounter sparks a fierce rivalry that through the years turns into obsession, possessive passion and the kind of love that will burn entire cities to the ground. Madigan is lethal and tough and even he sometimes needs to let loose, but in the world of contracts and first come first serve it's hard to trust. But when he is with Azrael, all bets are off. They use the pain and blood at the edge of the sharpest knife to etch the love on their skin, they push and pull and still both come up on top. Intense is not enough of word to describe how much they both are overwhelming at times. I enjoyed their games in the beginning that led to realization that even assassins can love, even assassins can be tender and care for one another.

The pace is fast, the events are well written and the humor is funny with a side of snide sarcasm that coming from Madigan at times sounds endearing. Azrael is actually very likable. He is depicted more human with his difficult childhood and how he ended on the path he was on. The continuation of the deadpool list is the major theme and sets in motion most of the shenanigans both men start. Some of them are well executed and some are just that side of hilarious and WTF did they just do???!!! Overall, I got what I wanted from this story - unapologetic physical love between two hard men, major professional skills, a bit of tenderness and spot on humor. I recommend it. Love Onley James and Neve Wilder writing together💜.

Loved Bad Habits and loved Playing Dirty too (even though they’re stand-alones, I’d recommend you read Bad habits first).

Great writing and with an actual story line, assassins for hire but with a conscience, complex and endearing characters, and of course two hot af MCs in Madigan and Azrael 🔥

The second book in the Wages of Sin series features rival contract killers who are like fire and gasoline. Put them together and you're going to get an explosion.

Two dominant men going head-to-head, refusing to give ground, to let up or let anyone in...yet they're drawn to each other and then find themselves teaming up for expediency's sake. Madigan and Azrael are not easy men, nor is their journey to their HEA an easy one. They snarl and growl all the way to the end, no quarter given nor wanted. There are tender moments, enough that the romance is believable, but not so much that you think they're going to have to retire and go legit because they've lost their edge.

I love Madi and Az so much. They're two of my favorite characters out of the 200+ books I've read this year. You can read Play Dirty without having read the first book, Bad Habits, but don't do that to yourself. The hacker and the assassin from the first book play large roles in this one, and they're also among my favorite characters of the year. The rest of the supporting cast is solid, too. Especially Sadie, who clearly states her mission in life. "I just want to kill people and get paid."

It's Onley James and Neve Wilder, so the heat level is off the charts but that heat comes with an edge sharp as an assassin's blade, which makes it all the hotter. No surface, vertical or horizontal, is safe - but the sex never gets in the way of the story.

If you're a fan of The Black List, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and other shows or movies with characters who work in the darkest gray areas, then you'll love Play Dirty.

I received an advance copy of this book.

What's better than an assassin? TWO of them!!! I loved the first book but this book owns my heart! I wanted this one since the minute I finished Bad Habits.

Madi and Az have explosive burn-the-sheets chemistry and "Play Dirty" really is a perfect title. Madi is still an asshole but I totally loved him. They are attracted to each other like magnets and Azrael never stood a chance.

💥BAMF assassins that cannot accept their feelings
💥Shifting power dynamics
💥Knife Play🔪
💥PowerPoints and Therapy
💥Dual POV

Madi and Az's book was everything I hoped for, with dangerous competitions, risky missions and a hot and sexy romance. There's nothing I love more than a good romantic suspense and this is one of the best! It's fast paced and I couldn't put it down.

While this can be read as a standalone, it's much more enjoyable reading in order. I was pleasantly surprised by the endearments and curses in a familiar language, one of the few that I don't require translations.

If you're a fan of romantic suspense with a romance that is sweet and filthy and kinky, the Mr and Mrs Smith movie,  betrayals, found family and a bit of danger, then you'll devour this book. I'm so hyped for the next book!

I liked this.

It didn't have the strongest of beginnings and had me pausing a number of times but once I got into it, I found it really enjoyable.

Madigan and Az were....unique. Lol. I'm surprised they worked well together but one thing you couldn't deny was their chemistry. It was potent.

This led to well, a bit too much sex but I think it was balanced out by the inherent danger they were constantly in so I guess that was that.

Next is the book about Dr Eastman the psychologist. I'm frankly a bit terrified of him but I'm still curious enough to read it. Lol!

A Joyfully Jay review.

4.5 stars

Play Dirty is the second book in Onley James and Neve Wilder’s excellent romantic suspense series, Wages of Sin. After a prologue where we get a bit of history on Madigan and Azrael’s relationship, this story picks up right where Bad Habits ends, with the Red Queen sharing news of the hit list. We met Madigan in that first book, and Jonah and Caspian appear here multiple times. So while the relationship stands alone fine, I think you will enjoy this book much more if you have read the first story and have some background on the set up and the characters.

I absolutely loved Bad Habits and both Jonah and Caspian, so I was a little unsure how I felt about moving on to a new couple with this book, but I have to say, Madigan and Azrael were just perfect.

Read Jay’s review in its entirety here.

Not necessarily a straight out enemies to lovers but they definitely have healthy level of competition as they compete for kills. They have shot each other and definitely damaged the other in lots of ways. It's more of a "for fun" sort of antagonistic poking between hit men.

I didn’t like Madigan much in the last book so color me impressed by how much I came to love him. He and Az just did it for me 🖤 the banter was awesome.

Not sure that this series is going to continue past 3. Three is the dr. and Soren. I was a bit surprised they didn't follow Ronin. But maybe he'll get his own book one day if he doesn't get explained away/killed in book 3. Which I'm off to read now...

Fast paced and totally engrossing story

When 2 assassins come together sparks definitely do fly! Wowser.

Book 2 in the Wages of Sin series did not disappoint! Fast paced story right from page one. When sex is in the first 5% off a book, I know I’m in for a hot book!
Inventive and sexy story that I did not want to end.

Mad and Az were so HOT together. They burned up the pages. Jonah and Cas from book 1 are back too. Secondary character game was very strong!
It takes you to the unexpected and the end was quite something.

Now I want book 3!

Years ago they introduced themselves as John and Smith, simply not trusting the other. They had a hot rough night together. Madigan and Azrael, in their line of work, meet again but Madigan keeps dismissing Azrael consequently. Both assassins, both ready to finish the other, only lust always get in the way.

Throughout work, they nag and thwart each other endlessly. It’s a game they play, an expensive one. Between the jobs, they fight and fuck each other brains out.
One is patient, the other stubborn. They work together but also solitary. If something happens with one of them, the other will walk away without a blink.
Az has an offer, working together saves up a lot of money, for both of them. Madi agrees with one condition, they have to keep their hands to themselves.
There’s a deadpool list and the team has to eliminate the bad guys.

It was one big thrilling event, with a sharp and clearly outlined plot.
Two guys who could kill each other, at last, loved instead. I had my doubts if they would ever give in, but thank goodness they did! Madi and Az were well developed, their chemistry was explosive. Looking forward to book #3

Ebook - 5/2021
Audiobook - 3/2024 (the audio is not very good. Az's voice is all flat and emotionless)

Hitman romance is my kryptonite, but two hitmen?? I'm in heaven. We met Madigan in book 1 as Jonah's friend/fuck buddy and I can't wait to see him fall in love.
Madi and Az together is explosive. They hate each other, but also can't get enough of each other. Always try to one up another and it was entertaining to read how far they will go, what mischievous convoluted plan they plot. The scene where they pretend to have a marriage counseling just make me peed my pants.
I enjoyed Book 1 but this book 2 is even better.

Play Dirty is the second book in the Wages of Sin series and I'm going to be super lazy tonight (sorrrrrry) and just say this was HOT AF and I really enjoyed it.

Why 4 stars? I think I was missing some true affection from Madigan. I don't know...there was something missing for me. But overall, I really enjoyed Madigan and Azrael's story.

Madigan and Azrael. Madi and Az, competitive assassins. Each would be happy killing the other, if they could just get rid of pesky red hot attraction.

It was fun watching these two assassins fall in love. The snark, one upmanship, and deepening trust felt genuine and had a natural progression. Well written and I liked that page time was shared among a host of characters. Family found, one of my favorite tropes. I’m really enjoying this series.

I received an arc of this book.

4,5 stars for this really fun read! This duo is a hit or miss for me, sometimes they do too much of insta love and I don't always work with that trope, but It worked perfectly in this one. 🤭🥰❤

Play Dirty was just a fun read, it wasn't life changing or even too much heartwarming, it was just fun! The two main characters are assassins who have a competition with each other, seeing who can best the other and since they are evenly matched, they really get it going. But still, doing this dance for years makes them develope feelings and watching them navigating those and accepting them was really nice.

The first part was a 3 stars read for me, because since they already knew each other the connection, *coughs* sex *coughs*, was already there but I wasn't there with them, that changed of course and I was enjoying myself with the story. The last 30% was priceless btw, I laughed a LOT!

Really fun, really enjoyable and it was a read that made me smile. Lovely! ❤💜

This was soooo good! I loved assassins Madigan and Az, two men who are slow to trust, each of them having been wounded in the past but willing, in the end, to put their hearts on the line. The story was fast-paced and gave just enough detail of their jet-setting world to keep it moving. The sexy times ranged the gamut of sweet to edgy, and all of them offered something new. And those knife scenes... yowza!
