I thought this Vegas fundraiser was going to be boring—another obligation to keep the family business alive.
Wrong.
I don’t remember a damn thing about the night we spent together, other than how good she felt against me, like she was made for me.
We woke up the next morning with more than we bargained for—wedding rings.
Too bad I don’t believe in true love.
I’d feel bad about it, but she’s got a strong opinion of me too.
I’m a perpetual bachelor from her perspective.
Fucking great.
Crazily enough, this could work out for both of us.
I need someone to keep my traditional Greek family from nagging me about settling down, and she could use some cash for reasons she doesn’t want to share.
I know a good deal when I see one.
And if she wants to end up in my bed all over again, all the better.
This is book 1 of a trilogy. You will have to purchase book 2 and 3 to finish the story.
Ali Parker is a full-time contemporary and new adult romance writer with more than a hundred and twenty books behind her. She loves coffee, watching a great movie, and hanging out with her hubs. By hanging out, she means making out. The man is hot. Hello. She’s a creative at heart and loves coming up with more ideas than any one person should be allowed to access. She lives in Tennessee with her hubs, teenage son, two grown daughters, and two love-of-her-life grandbabies! Telling a good story that revives hope, reminds us of love, and gives a vacation from life is all she’s up to.
I have a very intense Monday at my office. While at work, I was listening to Th Billionaire's Unexpected Wife. My first read by Miss Parker. It is short. But I have to read the whole 3 books understand the story.
For the first book, I have to say I do like it. The wording is repetitive and not much of steamy sex scenes To my surprise I like it. The background/ the motive why both Kristo and Amaya have to end up married is not convincing. Maybe because this is a short/ novella, Miss Parker pack more on chemistry development.
Overall this book is light and enjoyable to accompany my Monday.
Blurb: As soon as I saw her, I knew I had to have her.

Because I am too lazy & short on time to write a full review, I will just say that this was a truly sweet story about a Greek family that will stop at nothing to see their kids married. You will laugh, cry and get mad but when you get to the end, it's butterflies, roses & unicorns baby!
Kristo and Amaya are amazing characters with a lot of chemistry. Kristo is very down to earth for a Greek billionaire who grew up with money (even though he is yet another manho). H & h meet at a gala in Vegas & they are instantly attracted and after a few drinks & a wild night, they end up married.
They decide to stay married 'cause Kristo is being pressured by family to settle down and Amaya because she needs money to pay off student loans and support her teenage handicapped sister. They have to convince his family their relationship is real.
When I have time, I will come back & add some spoilers but I do want to say that while I liked this story, some of the author's repetitiveness of the same words & phrases, and plots that were inserted & left open ended just drove me nuts.
I usually read every book by this author in one sitting, however with this one I struggled to keep myself focused on the story. Halfway through I started to lose interest in it, and I even read three other books in between before finishing this one. I don’t mind longer stories but this one really didn’t have anything special about it that would keep my interest all the way through, and could have been wrapped up sooner and still have the same point. I liked characters and they had a decent chemistry, but for me there was something missing that would make their story stand out and make more interesting.
I would recommend this book to anyone. FINALLY, a book that doesn't just stop! It continues just enough to tell a complete story. It is real and very entertaining. Thank you, Ali Parker
DNF at 40% This one just didn't work for me. For once, it wasn't about editing. I didn't like that the alternating view points weren't marked, you just had to read a while to figure out who's perspective it was. And we didn't learn the H name until 9% in. Wasn't even mentioned in the blurb. And if that wasn't enough, there was something about the cadence/flow that was off. And I have too many other books to get through to keep struggling with all this.
I have no idea how this has so many 5⭐️ ratings. I don’t really enjoy writing bad reviews. I have read a few Ali Parker books, one quite recently Talk Dirty to Me which I enjoyed but this one for me was lacking!
Kristo is a billionaire, who attends a gala in Vegas and meets Amaya. They disappear together and wake up married. He asks her to name her price to stay married for a year. She is not a gold digger but names a price to pay off student debts, keep her disabled sister in a home for a year and have a years living expenses. When meeting his family he stops on the way and buys her new clothes so she will fit in. He makes her coffee in the morning, fixes her car and takes her sister out for lunch.
Amaya realises she’s in love with Kristo and tells him. He doesn’t really respond and she walks out. The book ends there and to find out more you need to buy the next book.
There is one fleeting moment of intimacy and no other real interactions between the 2 to build any sort of relationship. I felt more of a connection to Amaya’s pet ferret than I did toward the MCs.
If I hadn’t read any of Ali Parkers books before then I don’t think I would be in a rush to read another. As I’ve read and enjoyed some of her other works i know that this book is not a true reflection of what she can deliver however, I don’t think I will be continuing with Kristo and Amaya’s story.
I'll start this review with a warning. Make sure you have time to finish this book, because once you start, you wont' be able to put it down. Kristo and Amaya first see each other in the pool, where she is relaxing and he is burning off some energy before his father's next wedding. They see each other again that evening and Kristo decides to talk to her this time. They hit it off immediately and leave to spend some alone time together. They wake up the next morning with wedding rings, Vegas, right? They have no memory of the night before (too much champagne) but Kristo decides this will be an answer to his family's constant harping on him to settle down. Amaya agrees because Kristo offers to help take care of her financially and she needs the support with her handicapped sister. The supporting characters add to the wonderful dynamic of this story. Will their relationship turn into something more or will they part after the agreed upon year? Grab this wonderfully developed story today! I received an advance readers copy of this book and am gladly leaving this review.
I loved Kristo and Amaya. The story kind of dragged on for me a bit. Sometimes I felt like i had read that part already because it seemed redundant.i still love Ali Parkers books though. I would have loved to know more about the he sister Jolenes condition. With all his money, I’m surprised they didn’t explore doctors for her condition. Whatever it was. At first I thought she was in the car with het parents accident but they never elaborated on it. All in all it was just ok. Concept was good, but Not the level of some of her other books.
I very much enjoyed this book. Following it was easy. Loved the surprises at every turn. My only question is...what happened to her pet? After a certain point in the story there was no mention again of the pet she adored. Anyway, loved the book!
Wow, what a story. Imagine waking up in bed with a gorgeous guy and realize there are wedding rings on both of you. That's exactly what happened to Kristo and Amaya. Great romance full of surprises and chemistry that's off the charts. Lots of drama and some plots twists. A perpetual playboy, family dynamics, a special needs child and so much more. Great characters with lots of depth and an entertaining storyline. No spoiler here, but you'll like the ending. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Reasonably well written but yet again an author who writes a few chapters and calls it a book 😠 . A story needs to be well rounded and not stop in the middle of nowhere. Doesn't hold my interest enough to encourage me to buy the next "book"
This is a fast paced read with just the the right amount of humour to make this a delicious read by the top selling author, Ali Parker! I have to confess now that this is my favourite of her stories that I have read so far. bearing in mind that I've read every one of her stories that has been made available to read on ebook in the UK. Ali has created for us a fantastic storyline with Kristo and Amaya. He is from a Greek family which is very wealthy whilst Amaya has a disabled sister and mounting debts. They meet in Sin City at a gala, have way too much to drink, have a night of steamy passion and wake up together in bed and married to each other! Whew - can it get any better??? Well yes it can and it does! This is one book by Ali that you just can't miss as it is just so good. It has passion, secrets, a Greek family, a night of lust, a unexpected wedding, secrets, love and such great chemistry between the hero and heroine. fans and a/c at the ready please or you're going to melt! I'm really looking forward to the next story by Ali. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Another fabulous story - definitely recommended!
I don’t often read modern romance books and especially books about ‘billionaires’! Authors usually get it badly wrong. With this book I just decided that the ‘billionaire’ word shouldn’t be in the title. Millionaire maybe. Forgetting about all of that and the likelihood that there was never a real marriage in the first place, here we have two people who had an instant attraction when seeing each other at a hotel pool. They then found themselves at the same gala event and Kristo wangled his way to where she was. They went off to his room and thats the last that either of them remembered when they woke up together the next morning. What they did notice was that they were wearing wedding rings! There was also a marriage certificate but the story says that Kristo found it in the casino. Kristo needs a wife and Amaya has a mountain of debt so he suggests a business arrangement whereby they stay married for a year and he will pay her debts off. Unfortunately, Amaya finds herself falling in love with Kristo. Anyone who likes modern fairytale romance will like this book and you’ll probably be so hooked that you will buy the next two books that make up one story just to know what happens! It’s well written and very easy to read.
Rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. We meet Kristo off to Vegas for an event bc hes the head honcho now....hed rather be at home. When he decides to go for a swim beforehand he sees a striking woman reading a book and wants to get to know her...if only shed give him the time of day. Amaya is at an event to raise money for her library and feeling out of place in a very revealing gown and the sexy man from the pool has his sights set on her. A little liquid courage results walking up married to a man she just met and unable to remember nothing. Kristo thinks its brilliant bc now he can get his family off his back since hes going home with a wife...and sets the plan in motion. Amaya agrees bc she needs to money to help with her sister and pay off her loans...what has she got herself into? Moving in with kristo isnt too bad, things are going well until she realizes shes falling in love with him. Kristo doesnt do love...ever ..after watching his father go thru many wives..but amaya does smtg to him and he cant name it. Will things go according to plan or will there be unexpected consequences?
A good read about two people who wake up in Vegas married, after only meeting the night before. Kristo decides he wants Amaya & him to stay married to get his family off his back & makes her an offer she can’t refuse. Amaya needs the money to help take care of her handicapped sister & agrees to stay together. But what happens when the feelings become real for one of them ? A good read with steam but it was a bit long & dragged on in some parts, parts that could have been omitted & not missed much. There were also some inconsistencies, such as was his mom alive or dead, and considering the length there were a few things that should have been explained such as what did his company actually do, what was really wrong with her sister ? I did like how the two got to know each other, talking, flirting and sharing their day like a real married couple. I also liked how Kristo took care of Amaya, cooking, ordering in & making sure she had everything when she got home. Their chemistry was there and I liked how they tried to be as open as they could with each other. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Married after too many drinks while at a fundraiser in Vegas, Kristo and Amaya agree to stay married so that he can pass her off as his loving wife to his family in order to avoid their meddling matchmaking ways and so Amaya can pay off her debt and pay for her sister's medical care.
I've read several married-in-Vegas books, and this was one of my least favorite. Once married, Amaya couldn't communicate with Kristo. She would immediately go on the defensive and be short and rude to him. He would cook her dinner and she would tell him she was too tired and stomp off to her room.
Once the first conflict (yes there is more than one) arose at 25% - chapter 20 of 68 -, I started to skim the book. The rest of the text was much of the same: fighting, sexing, family gatherings, lying, and meddling, hurtful sisters. After so long, the plot became pretty predictable which made skimming the book that much more rewarding.
I have another married in Vegas book downloaded in my library, but sadly, I'm hesitant to read it. Hopefully, I can put this book aside enough to give that one a fighting chance.
I thought the idea of it was interesting before I even started reading. Kristo seems so sweet and careful and although I didn’t expect him to come up with this crazy idea to stay married... while the story comes along you can see how he is slowly turning into the husband role. As for Amaya, I’m still unclear whether she’s Greek or middle eastern? But she’s very reserved and I’m happy to see that she slowly lets Kristo in.
This first book is short and I wish it was a bit longer but I’m SO happy that there are still 2 more installments in this story. When I got to the 2 final chapters, not only was I consumed with butterflies reading through every page, I felt that there was a lot of business unfinished.
This story definitely did happen fast, but I’m glad that the marriage happened almost right away to really get to the point. Im looking forward to how this story develops as I’m left wanting more.
MY HEART IS FULL!!! Ah! What a twisted wen we weave. You get all the action, attraction and one hot night. Except for one tiny little blip. Sometime during their foray the end up married and clueslss. The characters are well developed and definitely independent. Their personalities are unique, intelligent and screw up. What else could possibly go wrong? Apparently a whole lot. But they nimble through as they seek to strive to accomplish certain goals. The scenes are off the top with an endless supply if mishaps on the go. Twists and turns abound limitless humor, happy faces and alot of heartache and fear. Ali is great a pulling us into her imagination and created a world around us until nothing else exists except what before your eyes. Incredible job Ali, thanks for sharing this awesome read with read with us.
It’s another winner for Ali... Like most of her stories, the “Billionaire’s Unexpected Wife” is an exciting & fast paced release that grabs your attention from the very first page to the very last one.
If you’re looking for a written story with an interesting plot that twists & turns then ends with a happily ever after, this is it. The characters, Kristo & Amaya, meet at a charity event in Vegas. They hit it off immediately & their chemistry is off the charts. So, what happens when they wake up the next morning married? Will what happens in Vegas, stay in Vegas or will they have a future? To find out how their story ends, be sure to “one-click” to add this new release to your own library.
I received an Advance Review Copy (Arc) of this new release & I am voluntarily giving my honest review.
I would recommend this book The Billionaire's Unexpected Wife by Ali Parker to those who like sweet heart warming romance, romance with a meaning. I loved the way Kristo and Amaya's relationship progressed. Though Kristo was a spoiled Billionaire in the beginning, the change that Amaya brings in him is amazing. All the added characters in the story are very supportive to the story as it progresses. The Greek family full of life and zest added that little bit of zing, specially Kristo's nanno, even Amaya's little sister, though handicapped was full of life and positive energy. The Billionaire's Unexpected Wife by Ali Parker made very good reading. It was so interesting that in spite of it being a lengthy book it captured my interest till the end. Could not put it down. I want to read all her books this year.
It took a couple of chapters to really get into the meat and potatoes of this story but oh what a story. It just not rich man needs wife. Rich man finds wife and he lives happily ever after. She weaves a tale with everyday people except the rich billionaire. I really enjoyed this story. I had put it off because of other books I was reading but I knew an Ali Parker book had to be good and so I just decided that I would stop what I was reading and read this book and read I did almost all in one night. I got up the next day to finish reading and where I had left off and that was at the wedding and I knew I had only one more chapter and the epilogue. I would encourage all those who like Ali Parker to read this book. It is well worth your time. On to another book I have of Ali's. I am a fan.
nother fantastic read by Ali Parker about love and finding the one. Kristo is a man who doesn't believe in love and marriage after his farther couldn't seem to make a marriage last after 4 attempts. Kristo meets Amaya in Vegas and married her without remembering after they both get drunk and can't remember. It eventually becomes apparent to kristo that she is the one that he is meant to be married to and he falls I'm love with her. He realises that he must find away to convince her to stay married to him. This is a heart warming read that follows them both and their families has they work out that they do in fact love each other must find away to convince the other of this before it's too late. Will they make it work?
Read For Author: Ali Parker never disappoints when writing a book and this is no exception. When Kristo goes to Vegas for business to meet his Dad and his "new" Step Mom his less than thrill. That is where he runs into, the lovely Amaya. A night of drinking and they wake up in an all too familiar Vegas situation "married." So they strike up up a deal. But, during that deal surprises and feelings take hold. What will happen to Kristo who doesn't believe in love and Amaya who hasn't really ever really had a family except for her sister? This is a long book and you won't want to put it down for anything so make sure your Kindle is charged. So you can carry it around with you. :) Two thumbs up Ali.
This book by Ali Parker will make you laugh with good humour, makes you cry, give you back a family since the loss of your own family many years ago and in the end you have the love of your life forever. Amaya and Kristo meet under circumstances in Vegas and you guessed it they got married after drinking heavily to celebrate their wedded bliss. Too bad they each wake up to a stranger with rings on their fingers. When they travel back home they discover family drama, contract issues and fake marriage certificate. Through it all the confirmed bachelor has had his heart stolen by his fake wife and his soon to-be-wife (proper papers this time). This book was a pleasure to read and a good time well spent.
When you are so very attracted to that one person and just can't say no to a night of fun. When that fun turns into something completely unexpected what would you do? Can it be an advantage for all involved? Kristo sees Amaya at the pool at the hotel he is staying at. He doesn't approach her though with hopes of seeing her again. That same night, they are at a gala. The attraction is so fierce and they decide to leave together. The next morning though is when the news comes, they're married. What will they do? Can they make this work in their favor? I don't want to go into too much of what happens in the book because you really need to read it. It's well written, I loved the characters in the book and the storyline was very enjoyable.
Kristo and Amaya meet at a gala in Las vegas. After some flirting and drinking they leave the gala together.. The next morning they wake up in bed together remembering nothing of the evening before but those shiny new rings indicate they are married.
Amaya is struggling with raising her special needs sister and Kristo is tired of the family harping on him to settle down so what else can be done but stay married right? Kristo proposes a one year contract to Amaya that will benefit them both.
This is a long read but so worth it.. You get to see them work through feelings, issues, etc and then will they decide they actually do love each other or is one year up
I’m a sucker for any story that starts out with a quickie Vegas wedding and a bunch of missing memories thanks to a little too much celebration the night before. There’s so many possibilities for what can happen next, I love seeing where an author takes us. This story takes us on a convoluted emotional roller-coaster ride to get Kristo and Amaya to their happily-ever-after. There’s laughter and tears, heartbreak and joy. And through it all is the deep and abiding love of a family that only wants the best for it’s members. There’s a lot of story here, but I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to this quirky, tight-knit family when it was over. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
