Copperline #4

Evanescent Ink

Rate this book
"A fleeting weakness, a tenuous moment wrought of pain and remorse that I wanted burned into my skin, never to forget. Yet, when she touched me, it all vanished... like an evanescent ink.”

Drew Massey’s life is suddenly turned upside down. On the heels of a crippling breakup, he is determined to learn his lesson. Never trust. Never love. Never open up to that kind of pain again. In the midst of creating a permanent reminder of his vow, he is interrupted by the one person who has the power to heal his heart.

At first glance, Raven Pelletier exudes confidence and independence. She’s tough as nails and willing to help Drew put his demons to rest by offering him a delicious distraction with a no-strings-attached physical release of the persistent bitterness that remains.

Yet somehow, the need for her seeps through. The taste of her lingers. Everything about her teases and tempts him to go a little farther and get a little deeper. It drives his passion until he realizes the very thing that alleviates the ache may actually shred his soul in the end.

It was supposed to be easy. It was supposed to be temporary. It was never supposed to mean a thing… but the freedom from pain is so intoxicating, how can he ever let her go?

Sibylla Matilde

Sibylla Matilde grew up on the back of a horse exploring in the mountain valleys of Southwest Montana. She attended a two-room schoolhouse 1st through 6th grade where she had same teacher the whole time. At the age of 12, Siby discovered historical romance, devouring the work of Jude Devereaux, Lisa Kleypas, and Karen Robards. She began writing in 2013 with her debut novel, Little Conversations, and self-published ten works over the next three years. She took a few years off to deal with life (it proved very difficult to move on from her Bangin’ Mofos…they were a blast to write), but is back at the keyboard with new steamy stories brewing in her naughty little brain.

Music is her emotional trigger. Growing up with a Wagnarian-opera-loving mother, Sibylla loves music that digs deep into her soul and covers her with goosebumps. The soundtrack to her life includes different genres and generations, but her favorites include Thirty Seconds to Mars (she’s a bit obsessive about Jared Leto, actually), Kings of Leon, The Killers, My Chemical Romance, and many other artists and bands. Her inspiration playlists on Spotify truly drive her writing, and she loves to share her eclectic taste with anyone who will listen.

Siby strives to write books that make the reader bask in the sweet glow of new love, burn hot with a passionate intensity, and day drink from gut-wrenching heartache. Her characters are not world-famous rock stars or billionaires, rather every-day small-town people experiencing their own extraordinary romantic adventures in the Rocky Mountains she calls home. Siby loves to hear from fans and can be reached at [email protected].

This author's books just keep getting better and better! Drew wasn't my favorite Mofo boy (Cody is still the man), but his story was amazing. And, that is thanks to Ravenna! She is one hot babe that is without a doubt my favorite heroine written by Ms. Matilde! I just had to get out some thoughts out there even though it's late so I can let her fans know that this particular novel is stellar! The writing. The characters. And, the storyline just suck the reader in. I found myself tearing up quite a few times from both the hero and heroine. Written in first person from a dude's POV, does nothing but suck the reader in and keep them entertained 'til the very end. I've read every book that Sibylla has ever written, and I mean what I say, when I say this is the best to date...

Favorite Quotes:

She had me wrapped around her finger. Twisted, really. Tight and harsh like the hold she had on my nads.

The finality of it unsettled me. It was like the proverbial fat lady screeching arias in my ear.

Free and easy just didn't seem like enough all of a sudden... I was starting to envy the closeness my friends had with their women. I felt a little cold, like I'd always be on the outside looking in.

You love me. You healed me. I was broken, and you kept me from going under.

My Review:

Sibylla Matilde's Copperline series appears to miraculously improve with each book, I am four books in, currently enthralled with her work, and anxious to see what the next one holds. However, I cannot imagine how she could possibly top this one. Ms. Matilde is a gifted wordsmith that had me smirking on one page and near tears on the next. She actually had this cold-hearted old cougar sobbing during a deathbed scene, a scene that continues to evoke a bit of mistiness for me. The characters and storyline for Evanescent Ink were sweet, tender, therapeutic, amusing, evocative, and highly sensual. I found it to be near perfection, despite the liberal use of angst.

Let me start by saying that I absolutely love the Copperline series by Sibylla Matilde.

Cody is my man, but let me say that Drew tugged at my heartstrings too. There was something about witnessing this broken man turning his life around and giving love another shot that did things for me. Usually, we are seeing this type of scenario through the eyes of a woman, so it was refreshing to learn through the eyes of a man. They are just as sensitive as the rest of us!

So very early on we learn the cause of Drew's heartache. It's virtually a punch in the face to a man who was obviously deeply in love. *whispers* But it's okay. We want this to happen to Drew.... *whispers* He falls down the track of becoming a depressed little button, believing his life isn't really worth living. I felt such a connection with Drew during these moments and loved that he truly opened up.

But then his little lost heart starts to wander. He takes notice of things and people that he didn't notice before. One of them being an employee.... Raven.

The introduction of Raven was awesome. She is awesome. I love Raven. Her persona, her quirkiness, her everything! She is the purple light in Drew's life. A friend... *cough cough* with extra benefits.

Both of them have their flaws, which surprisingly works between them. We follow the path each character takes with a few bumps along the way. But the question is: Will they take the plunge together and take a chance on love, or will they just enjoy the non-committal coupling they have both started to enjoy?

Evanscent Ink is a hot as hell romance novel with a heavy dose of angst. You will absolutely fall in love with these characters. And it is always hilarious when the other mofos pop in to say hello!

Well done, Ho!! <3

Another 5 star read that will put that bottle of wine to shame!! It really didn't help.. I wish it did, and these stupid Kleenex!

Sigh! When a story falls into pieces along with your heart and soul.. THIS is the story that I was looking for. THIS is the type of story that I didn't know I needed but now found out I can't live without reading it again and again.. hopefully with a stronger something that will keep my tears to at least a minimum.

The tears and heartbreak are SO worth it!!

Drew lost hope in true love, he might not have known it 100% but his heart was slowly giving up in finding love that cared for his soul as much as she said she cared about his heart.

Raven, an emotional past that plays a strong factor in they way she carries herself today. Head up high, always showing them a mindset that doesn't falter.

But.

There are two sides to every story, or in this case, behind every heart there is a beat. Behind every soul there is a memory..

Raven kept Drew from nearly drowning in his own emotional pain. She saved him when he didn't know he needed saving. And he managed to do enough to test whether he could take down her walls and be there for her. Protect her.

But is that enough? Is love strong enough to fix something broken?!

Ugh I wish I wasn't at the risk of spoilers. This is such beautifully strong story that if you haven't read yet, you are without a doubt missing out!!

Sibylla Matilde, you are killing me with your characters, I can't get enough and with book after book, I'm seeing a decline in book boyfriends coming close to resembling real life ones..

Raven is my favorite Mofo girl, hands down. My homegirl in purple. I loved her for her strength and quiet vulnerability.
In the beginning I thought I was going to hate Drew. I was a bit iffy on him in the previous books, but only because of his relationship with Maggie (eww.) He turned out to be pretty stellar, though.
This one didn't feel as angsty, but still tugged at my heartstrings, and had me pulling for Drew and Ravens HEA.

This is Andrew "Drew" Masey's story. He is the lead guitarist for his band "The Bangin' Mofos". I love this band name! This book is 4 of the Copperline series.
But you can read this out of order. I had no trouble keeping up with the story. If anything it makes me want to read the other band members books.

Love Sucks, this is literally the first two words of Chapter 1. Already know I will like this book. As I say in almost all my reviews. If I don't have a full spectrum of emotions on a book then I didn't connect with it.
Most of the book I wanted to kick the crap out of Drew because of his "Poor me" attitude. He gets dumped by his girlfriend, Maggie that none of his bandmates or their girlfriend/wives liked. When she tells him that he turned her into a lesbian He feel he can't go on.

Then there is Ravenna "Raven" his friend that also works at the tattoo shop that the men work at. She is a piercer. She is NOT Maggie.
Raven finds Drew in the mist of self tattooing LOVE SUCKS on his arm and doing a bad job since he is trashed.
Raven is a kindred spirit that is very sure of herself or is she. She dresses "goth/steampunk" like. She dons purple hair, body piercing/tattoos. She is a very private person and no one, even Drew doesn't truly know her.
So when Raven decides to help him from self-mutilating himself, does Drew get a surprise when he sees the tattoo in the next mornings light of day. LOVE HEALS. WTH, he thinks.

This book is about finding love that was right in front of you. When two broken people find solace in each other, even if it's under false pretense, something happens. But will either one of them run from the truth to protect themselves for getting hurt.

Yes, this book made me want to kick Drew's butt and Raven's for that matter.

I feel anymore and I will give spoilers about the story. Do yourself a favor and add this author to your stalking list. I will be getting the other books in this series.

phew, holy hotness! Wait until you get your hands on Drew. I am in love/lust! Just call me Mrs Massey...!
This book is hot. Like of the charts hot! But it is so much more than that. So very much more.
Okay, so I will go back to the beginning when we first met Maggie in Post Breakup Sex. I didn't like her then and with each passing book my dislike grew. It is a testament to Sibylla Matilde that she can make you feel like that way towards a very minor side character throughout the series.
Drew has always been quiet and unassuming and I couldn't wait to see where Sibylla was going to take him in his own book.
Right at the beginning Maggie delivers a devastating blow that leaves him broken. (Did I mention my dislike for Maggie? Well now that dislike has intensified!)
A bottle of tequila and half a tattoo later, in walks Raven. (I like Raven.)
Raven is quiet, observant and strong, with a unique style that she is able to hide behind. They have chemistry. They have a connection (not like that! Well they do but.... you know what I mean!) and they have an understanding. Only, the understanding is what, ultimately, causes confusion.
Raven is a distraction from Drew's pain caused by 'Malicious Maggie' but soon it becomes apparent that it wasn't just his heart Maggie broke. It was so much more.
Seeing the broken heart from the guy's point of view is refreshing. You feel how Drew slowly, but surely, puts himself back together, with Raven's help. You sense the realisation of everything, finally dawn on him. You watch as this quiet and unassuming character develops into someone who is confident and comfortable in his own skin.
I absolutely love this story. Drew is definitely my favourite of the series so far. Thank you Sibylla for an outstanding read.

Another Hot Steamy Installment of the Copperline Series and WOW WOW WOW !! Who would have thought after all this time Maggie would give up on her dream of fame and fortune by breaking the heart and soul of Drew.

Raven has been a good friend, hard working employee and had secret crush for her boss Drew for the last two years since she moved to town. But when she finds him drunk, angry and heart broken she tries to make him see the good in some and to keep him in a positive light by distracting him any way she can.....anyway ..... Wink Wink !! But what does Drew know about Raven, yeah she is his employee, loyal and sexy as hell.... Can he see the good in Raven and let her make him forget about Maggie or will her past his feelings or the Mofo's get in the way of their happiness ??

Raven never thought she was worthy of being loved so this thing with Drew just had to stay friends with benefits but as time goes on will it all turn so LOVE HEALS.....

This story has everything....Suspense - Steamy Sex - Friendship - Drama and most of all LOVE !! You will not put it down.... I read it in 1 day !!

I received a copy of this book, the 4th book in the Copperline series, from the author. I have read pretty much all of Sibylla Matilde's books and I have to say this by far was my favourite.

Drew had his life turned upside down when his girlfriend "slapper witch" Maggie dumps him to be a lesbian. He was wallowing in a drunken stupor when his friend and employee Raven offered to "distract" him with amazing sex. As the story goes on he wants more and she maintains they are just friends with benefits.

Drew came across as vulnerable and distrustful of love because of his previous relationship. Raven exudes confidence and fierce independence where in reality she is just as vulnerable as Drew.

It was an amazing book - Drew is definitely my new book boyfriend. I was on tender hooks at times and although it is written from Drew's POV, you really can feel Raven's emotions and know her thoughts.
Oh and the sex is HOT, HOT, HOT!

Couldn't recommend this book and the author enough. Can't wait for the next instalment and manwhore Justins story

Another amazing read from Sibylla Matilde who very quickly became my go to author. I will read anything she writes. Yes she is that good!!!

Drew is a member of the Mofo's and also the owner of a popular tattoo shop. Raven is his employee who has stood by him and watched his train wreck of a relationship finally fizzle out and thankfully die. Raven gives Drew exactly what he needs to forget and they forge a friends with benefits relationship. But Raven is so much more than her beautiful steampunk appearance and suddenly Drew needs to know so much more about her. These two people come from damaging relationships but together they build a beautiful relationship. I loved visiting with the other members of the band and seeing how their families are doing.

Oh by the way did I tell you that Sibylla Matilde can write some serious STEAM!!! and these two have it in SPADES!!! 5+++ Hot Amazing Stars!!!!!

I love the Copperline series, and Evanescent is a good continuous to it.

Maggie was pure poison to Drew. She was not a good fit for him. She was controlling, and only looked out for herself. But when she breaks up with Drew it left him in a downward spiral. He Thought he was broke and never wanted to love again. Until Raven. He had no idea she would come in and turn his world around. He had no idea he could feel what he does towards her. But Raven isn't that simple.
What they started as friends.. was supposed to be just that. friends there for each other when they needed something.

You can't go wrong with this series. I have fallen in love with each and every one of these guys. This is a 5 star read for me. I feltThe character development was on key, the descriptions given to picture what was happening laid out vividly. I could picture it in my mind. And the steam punk scene. Probably my favorite scene. I just can't get past it! I Highly recommend reading this one!!!

Received this as an ARC copy from Sibylla Matilde. This book was awesome!

For some time we have gotten moments of Drew and Maggie in previous books and I am so glad he finally got shot of her in this one. I loved Drew and Raven in this book. Even though Raven had her vulnerable moments, I love how tough Sibylla Matilde wrote her character and I also liked that Raven always seemed comfortable with her choices to dress how she wants and be who she is. I also like that Drew was pretty self aware and also seemed to grow as a character, from the prologue through the end of the novel.

Loved this book. I think it is my second favorite with Brannon and Sophie still in first place! Can't wait for Justin's story!

Let me start by saying that I love books told by the male point of view and Sibylla is a master. Evanescent Ink is the latest in her Cooperline series. I immediately fell in love with hottie tattoo artist/musician Drew and the steampunk loving/mysterious Raven. The details of Ravens love for steampunk were so amazing that I could picture it all in my head. The struggle they go through as they try to find their way past heartbreak (Drew) and never feeling like you are worth anything (Raven) played out wonderfully. Can they both get past their own hang ups and see what is right in front of them? Read their story to find out!

**Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

Hands down, this was my favorite in the Copperline series. Without a doubt. Also possibly my fave book by this author, who btw is quite awesome and writes in such a way that I never want to put the books down. And trust me, that NEVER happens anymore.

We've seen Drew and Maggie in the previous books and I'll tell you, that girl skeeved me out. So I was quite happy to see Drew get his HEA with Raven.

Drew and Raven are perfection. Her dark and mysterious ways are just waiting to be uncovered by Drew. Maggie needs a good throat punch, ugh she infuriates me. Each book in this series has been utter perfection, and I can't wait for Justin's story.

This one hit so close to home, I'm having a hard time putting into words how I feel. it's almost like the book was written about my own life....
This is the 1st book in the Copperline series I have read. But I will Def be going back and reading the others. I will say, I was not lost. although there are references from the previous books, it was able to be read as a stand alone within the series.
This is one of my auto 1 click authors. nothing she has written has disappointed. and as soon as I can wrap my brain around the story and separate my life from the words written, I will come back and edit this review with one that does it justice.

Edited--

This is by far one of my favorite books. It hit so close to home for me, that it could of been my life on the pages. I was drawn into the story from page 1, and stayed into the story up until the last page.
Sibylla Matilde has a way with words. A way of making those words jump up and grab you, making her stories feel real. Even if you havent has a life experience close to the books concept, you are going to feel like you are part of the story.

The characters are so well written that you feel like you are ready about actual friends. They have a depth and a realness to them that makes them seem like they are part of your inner circle. They make you want to jump into the pages and become part of the story. The kind of people you want for friends, boyfriends or girlfriends.

Raven is my kind of heroine. LOVED LOVED LOVED her!! She was me thru and thru. I felt like I was reading about myself and my own life, everything paralleled. I found myself thinking more than once, "Has this woman been stalking me??? Following me around the last few years??" Ravens outer confidence and her bizarre sense of dress (which was all her own) masked her inner fears and demons. She was pulled into herself and didnt allow people to get close, but she was badass in her own right.

Drew was a fantastic hero. Hurt from his past and determined not to get hurt again, he hid behind his tough guy attitude. Yet, underneath his tough exterior was a marshmellow. Drew was so much like my own boyfriend, I again wondered if the author was stalking us.

When Raven turns the tables on Drew, and beats him at his own game, the tough boy is given a run for his money. So, how does this all play out??? Well........... you know me, Im not going to tell you. You have to read the book!!!

This was the 1st book in the Copperline series I have read. I love the Bitterroot series and jumped on the chance to read an advance copy of this one. And Iam glad I did. I was not lost, it was a true standalone in the series. However, Iam going to go back and start from the beginning because the characters do pull over and I am curious to see how all the men in this tightly knit group of friends have met their matches and fallen hard.

Thanks to the author for the opportunity to read and review. I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

Yet again, Sybilla has me fall in love with another member of the Bangin Mofo's and though I love the series, this one may just be my favorite!
Sexy lead guitarist and owner of Ink tattoo shop, Drew Massey has a dream, that dream for his band to make it big and his girlfriend Maggie is their supporting that dream. Maggie's main goal has been to show him how good it could be when he makes it big , the typical , sex, drugs and rock and roll.
They are living the dream until after three years of Drew allowing Maggie to control it all she walks away from them in the worst possibly way, let's just say major BITCH! THe Big B as we will refer to her going forward , left Drew depressed and only part of the man he was before.

Ravenna Pellettier, Ink's piercer is their to witness it all and as far ashes concerned, good riddance to garbage! Drew does not see it that way however , much drinking and hours later a drunk Drew is determined to give himself a new tattoo, LOVE SUCKS! Luckily for him Raven takes over and finishes the tattoo that he can not seem to finish without coloring outside of the lines with a minor change LOVE HEALS, which she then proceeds to attempt to prove to him, in very hot , very sexy ways. And many, many times. After all the Big B , has done a major job on Drew, he will need a Raven all he can get, their time together is the only time he forgets Maggie at first. Dependency is a funny thing, somewhere along the line it turns into, desire, need and want for Raven, what was the Big B on his mind , it is now all about Raven .
To spite the very hot sex, this story is so much more, because these characters thanks to Sybilla become so much more to the reader , they become or you become part of the group! How, well simple through Drew telling his story, his story of him, of the bangin Mofo's , of his buddies and their girls, him and Maggie and how much more Raven, the cute ,short, gutsy, purple haired, steampunk Temptress who has taught him what real love means. Now if he can only convince her she is worth everything to him! Of course , what is a love story without a few twists and challenges!
Okay, so here is what I will give you, you get an HEA! With that said this is a must read, though part of a series you could read as a standalone , but I would strongly urge you to read them all, helps you get the inside jokes!
Arc was graciously provided to me by the Author Sybilla Matilde for an honest review!

Let me start by saying, I happen to LOVE the Copperline series by Sibylla; she's done a beautiful job writing each individual installment within the series.

I used to think that Easy Little Lick was my favorite book within the series, but then I was introduced to Drew's installment, and quite frankly, I'm no longer sure which installment is my favorite!!

As I continue to read each book, I am seriously reminded of another series which captured me in a similar fashion a few years back; and I'm happy to see that Sibylla paid homage to that series in this book (that's all I'll say about that..don't want to give away any spoilers!!) :)

Ok, so let's get down to the meat and potatoes.... Drew Massey!! I think Sibylla did a great job opening up this story. With the the break-up of Drew and this bitch, Maggie... Can I tell you how much I hated Maggie's character?!?!?! Sibylla made sure to write her in a way that you'd immediately hate her, that way when Raven slips in, you immediately LOVE her! Raven has a proposition for Drew, one that will tear his mind away from the pieces that Maggie has left him in; the only problem?? Drew is Raven's boss!!

Lots and lots of hot and dirty scenes take place and you come to find yourself falling in love with the idea of Drew and Raven as a couple; only, they're not! The arrangement that Raven has proposed is only meant to be temporary, until Drew no longer needs her services. But c'mon now, they're human! As Drew begins to see Raven for who she really is, he realizes that she is in need of his services just as much as he needs her. I think it's this realization that really did it for me; he finally uncovered her mask.

Once he realizes just who she is, Drew stops at nothing to ensure that he gets his girl! I loved his determination and his honesty with both himself and Raven.

So did he get what he wanted or did the girl run?? That, you'll have to read for yourself!! Make sure to grab a copy of this newest read.. You won't be sorry!!

You’ve got the good life. You are in a band. You own your own tattoo shop. Your girlfriend brings other girls into your relationship. You are having the time of your life. Then, bam said girlfriend ends your relationship in the middle of your shop, in front of others and walks out.
Welcome to what just happened to Drew from Maggie.

A bottle of Tequila and a new phrase for life “Love Sucks” is now his new motto. Fortunately Raven finds him trying to tattoo his new phrase and steps in. After the tattoo gun is set down Raven helps him forget.

Raven, Drew’s employee and friend has had a secret crush on her employer since she moved into town several years ago. She is the black sheep of her family and knows what Drew is feeling as being cast aside for something new.

We start to see them become closer and closer but naturally you are just going to have to one-click this book so that you can see in detail what takes place.
There are many highs but several lows.

I loved these two and the exploration that they take in their new casual friendship. It was relaxed and just fitting. They did not have to try so hard to mesh together and enjoy themselves in anything that they were doing. It also helps that Drew’s bandmates and friends like Raven unlike Maggie. Maggie is very unlikable.

Each character brought something to the relationship whether a new experience (can we say Steampunk Irish Band) or a dark corner of their past. Through all of this you see their love for each other grow and grow. Sibylla did a wonderful read work with them. They were truly opposites in many ways but it just brought them together.

Tattoos, steampunk, history, tequila, out in public sex, dark family history, friends, connections, bit of drama, what happens next, friendship and more are in this read!

OH! Did I mention that there is a mention of Doctor Who? No, well there is and that made my Whovian heart love this book just a little more.

I love these guy in the Bangin Mofos!
Each book is written about a specific member of the band yet, it builds on the previous book. This time around is our sexy lead guitarist Drew and the woman who wins her heart, Raven. As the book starts Drew is banging a groupie when he meets his current girlfriend Maggie.

During his and Maggie's relationship things aren't all they seem. Let's back track here for a moment. Not only is Drew the lead guitarist for his band he also owns a tattoo shop. That is where he and Raven meet. She works for him as his shop doing piercings. After Maggie ends it with Drew, Raven is their to help him through the pain. She says it's sex and nothing more and Drew agrees since he really doesn't want to go through that kind of hurt again.

I really loved Raven's character. Despite her life, she has a inner strength that is inspiring along with an originality that she is not afraid to display. Her loyalty to those she cares about is amazing since it's not something that has kindly been shown to her. Drew, has inspiration with his band and is offered the chance of a lifetime yet....is it really what he wants? He begins to think what his fellow band members have is a whole lot more important than fame. I enjoy the fact that we experience on going stories with each band member and that Justin brings a comical relief to some intense moments. And the promise of Justin's story to come next brings a huge smile to my face. With his intense reaction to each member taking the plunge, I can't wait to see the woman who snags his attention for more than quick snag.

I will be sad to see this series end but when it does I have to admit is has been one hell of a ride. Come meet the men from Bangin Mofos and start at the beginning because you won't want to miss one moment with any of the members of this band.

I absolutely loved this book!!!

Sibylla has done an amazing job once again!!!! Book four of the Copperline series is just as hot as, if not even hotter than first three.

Drew is the lead guitarist of the Mofo’s and also the owner of a tattoo shop. He is thrown for a loop when his long time girlfriend breaks up with him. He is not looking for anything new and just wants to live his life the way it is, however he is not sure he can do this without Maggie. He ends up trashed and trying to give himself a tattoo of Love Sucks.

Raven is his friend and a piercer at Drew’s tattoo shop. She is a kindred spirit and does what she wants as the black sheep of her family and those around her. Even though she does what she wants she is a very private person. This all changes when she comes upon Drew trying to give himself a tattoo of Love Sucks, however she does something a little different then what he planned…..how will Drew take this when he wakes the next morning?

How will the outcast of the town fit into the world of the lead guitarist of the local band trying to make it big?

This book was not only amazing, but a hard one to put down because I had to keep reading to see what happened next. There were so many hot, steamy, and dirty senses but so worth it!!!!
Sibylla was able to show a side of being friends and trying to avoid go any further even when you feel like there is no other option. She was also able to show how a daughter struggles with not being accepted by her own family but being able to make the best of it and come out on top.

This book is a must read if you love hot and dirty with a side of overcoming a fear of not belonging.

Let me just begin with a warning....this lady will create a fire in your pants that will spread like the plague. It's going to slowly creep upwards through your loins to that warm beating place....i'm talking about your HEARTS -eyeroll- y'all are animals ;)
Ok, Drew Massey....lets just get this out of the way....he's mine. no i wont share him, sorry Sis but the boy is MINE....ok...kinda crushing on Raven too #NoJudgementsShesHot
Drew is a ''broken'' man, his heart has been ripped out of his chest by the vapicious little skank who wanted to use him as a human stepladder to the big time. Enter the stunning and enigmatic Raven...she's a smoking hot steam punk goddess with more unclaimed baggage than Gatwick. Neither have ever truly felt like they're enough.
The two have instant chemistry...but will it ultimately equate to more than a deep felt urge to bump uglies? well...if you want to find out then you need to haul your arses to one click this modern day masterpiece...you wont be sorry!
Right what did i think? well....i pouted, wiggled...in the good way! this lady has a direct line to my lady parts!!....i welled up a little once or twice but the true seller for this book for me....i never once felt like this was predictable!
Watching Drew and Raven's tale slowly unfold like a rose in bloom was truly beautiful. The more you read...the deeper you become emotionally invested in their story....you begin to crave the Raven minus the mask and the Drew minus the heartache.
Sib has created a unique legacy with this collection....while i believe that you could potentially read this as a stand alone.....i defy you to finish it and not find yourself on Amazon buying the rest of the series!
5 exceptionally well deserved stars!

Can I please have some more Drew!!!!!! YUM
I received an ARC of this book and I have loved loved loved all the books in this series.
This is Drew and Raven's story. Drew and Raven work together in Drew's tattoo shop, Raven being the receptionist. Drew and Maggie have been on and off again for years but Maggie humiliates Drew in his shop and he has gone heartbroken over Maggie. While he tries to tattoo himself Raven comes in after hours and sees what Drew is doing and offers to do the tattoo for him. They end up in bed together and Raven doesn't expect anything else from Drew, but Drew can't forget and he and Raven start a casual affair. We get to know Raven so much better, what she's like; why she is the way she is and her personal family. Drew who has worked alongside Raven had no idea what her deal was until he started hanging around her, she even went to his mom's house when Drew needed her and she didn't even blink about where he came from.
Things are going well when Maggie returns with an offer Drew is not sure he can turn down, a tour with a famous band. He will be on the road with the other members and Maggie but not Raven.
I love this book this has just the right amount of spice and with a little drama to make sure you can't relax just yet. Fantastic you will not find any other book that is quite like this. The Bangin' MOFO's are great and they have your foot taping with their beat and you can't help but love every member just like everyone else.
You will not de disappointed read them you will enjoy them. Fantastic. The sex scenes are hot and I love that they books are taken from HIS POV, just for a change.

This is the four book of the Copperline series by Sibylla Matilde and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed everyone of these great books. Sibylla Matilde has given us a story where each character brings something to the relationship which could be a new experience , (they could be class as a steampunk Irish band) or darkness from their past. But you get to see their love grow throughout everything .Sibylla Matilde has written one amazing read with these characters .which we see how opposites their truly are , in so many ways but things just bring them so much closer. Evanescent Ink just continues where Every little lick leaves off, with more story about the band members of the Bangin Mofos. You might think Drew is just like the others, who sleep their way through the groupies , but when his girlfriend leaves him, he ends up hooking up with an employee named Raven, but from the first touch and then the first taste of her ,Drew was hooked and can't get enough of her. But the chemistry of these two could melt the panties off anybody. But they both seemed broken and filled with hurt and secrets ,but together their wonderful. I think what I like about Drew is he's not afraid to show his pain, and as for Raven she's hiding behind her clothing and make up ,but really underneath it all she's like every other girl she just wants to be loved and cherished . It's really enjoyable to see other characters fro the other books specially Brannon and the Denny ,they were my favorites from this series . I could tell you more about this sweet story ,but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this sweet story, you won't be disappointed.

OMG...This book was fabulous. There is something about a broken man needing a strong woman to heal his broken heart that gives me butterflies.

Not only is Drew a member of the band he is also the owner of a Tattoo shop. Drews left heartbroken when his girlfriend walks out but the biggest kicker of all is she has become a lesbian. Now how can he fight that, he cant compete as he dosnt have the right goods to offer.

Raven has worked at the tatto shop for a while and she has hid her true feelings for her boss, but after his recent break up she grabs the bull by the horns and comes up with a plan that in her eyes is a win win for both of them.

With his life on a downwards spiral and alcohol running through is veins with a higher volume than blood Drew misses what is right infront of him. When his friend and employee Raven brings up the idea of getting over one woman by getting under another he goes along with it.

He vows against love and relationships but there is something changing inside him and he finds himself wanting and longing for more with Raven. She is quick to dismiss the idea at first but sometime the heart wants what the heart wants.

Will this couple get their happy ever after? Does Ravens own insecurities and past put a stop to things? Will Drew get over his ex? Will Maggie come back for her man?

There are so many questions that need answered you will find yourself on the edge of your seat

I can’t say it enough. I freakin’ love the boys of the Bangin’ Mofos. Each story has been unique, awesome, hot and steamy. I have laughed while reading each book, and this one is no different.

And damn can Sibylla write some awesome sex scenes!

This is the fourth book in the series. You don’t have to read them in order, but I highly recommend you do. Each book is about a different Mofo.

This is drew’s story. He is the guitarist and also owns a tattoo parlor, Ink Inc.

When the book starts, he’s with Maggie. Maggie is a gold-digging user (que Kanye’s Gold Digger, it’s the perfect song about her). She used Drew to get where she wanted, but when that didn’t happen, her true colors came out. I wanted to beat her ass and slap Drew for not seeing it and for being so depressed about it.

Luckily for Drew, Raven was there to help him.

“Love Heals”

Raven has gone through a lot. She hides behind her clothes, makeup, and hair. She is such a unique character. I love her. I would have loved her more if she would have beat Maggie though lol.

I love how Drew and Raven started as just a friends with benefits. You could tell there was more there, but both are stubborn and took a while for them to figure it out. Raven tries to protect herself by lying about what they have.

I really can’t wait to read Justin’s story next! He’s the biggest man-whore of them all. I can’t wait to see him fall!
