The SEALs Undone Series:
Fall Out - Drew and Annie Fall Hard - Jared and Cassie Fall Away - Trick and Gaby Fall Deep - Miles and Piper Fall Fast - Nathan and Emme Fall Back - Cade and Mel Fall Dark - Vince and Larken
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Zoe York is a busy working mom of two young boys, wife to a very understanding soldier, and creator of modern, sexy, small town contemporary romances.
She lives in London, Ontario and is currently chugging Americanos, wiping sticky fingers, and dreaming of heroes in and out of uniform.
Hot, sweet and short. So far this was the best in the series. Zoe York knows how to write a novella. She can pack a whole relationship from meet cute to proposal in an under 3 hour listen and not make it feel rushed or instalove. No angst, stand alone, easy read. If you need something to get you over a big book hangover or out of a reading slump, I’d highly recommend picking up one of these. This one was great because Nathan was such a good guy and not a man whore (which some of the previous Seals were, unfortunately).
Navy seal Meets flight attendant during flight cancellations on the night of the finalization of her divorce. They have ons. No names but he leaves her notes in her baggage etc. so she can contact him. She waits 6 weeks and they start emailing and texting for a few months. He’s crazy about her but she’s scared. They finally start flying to see each other. Then hea. This was short sweet, no angst. It was a nice quick read but definitely didn’t give you all the feels.
In Fall Fast your introduced to navy seal Nathan Meyers and the newly divorced flight attendant Emme Ryan. Both are grounded in Chicago due to snow. Nathan seizes the opportunity a dropped scarf presents and gains Emmie's attention ,dinner , drinks and an unforgettable night of pleasure that leaves them both wishing for more! In the vain of wishing for more Nathan takes the time during their one night stand to slip five messages in Emmez's baggage and jacket all with his name and e mail contact in hopes she will reach out, she finds them all and saves them because forgetting this hunk is not acceptable . However thanks to her crappy marriage and even worse divorce Emme needs time , two months later she gives in and e mails! Emails lead to text's then photos and eventually. Emme is ready to make move, which brings her to Nathan's door to surprise him and surprise him she does! Nathan is ecstatic to see Emme and the only thing he wants to do is get her naked and in bed .
Luckily Emme is a flight attendant since lots of visits to Nathan become the norm , time with Nathan heels so much of the baggage from Her previous marriage. Nathan, our big hunk of. A Navy Seal is more than willing to wait for her, he wants so much to tell her how he feels , that he wants her forever, but Emme is skittish and he has to bide his time ! Do they get an Hea ? Of course they do! Reccomend to anyone who read the original release in LOL 3 which was just a Novella this is now a short story with a full closure and HEA, and of course anyone who loves. Great romance and hunky navy men! Arc graciously provided by author for an honest review.
Fall Fast is the fifth novella released in the SEALs Undone series. Each can be read as a standalone but they contain the same characters that we've met throughout the series.
Emme and Nathan meet while stranded during a snowstorm at the airport. She's a stewardess and he's a Navy Seal on his way back home. They spend hours eating, talking and then they share a hot unforgettable night together. The day they meet is the day Emme's divorce is final and she's scared at how strong her feelings for Nathan are. He knows there's something special about their connection and hides notes for her to find after she leaves in hopes that she'll contact him. Nathan realizes Emme is scared, but he also knows she's the one and he wants to make her his.
As with the others in this series, the characters are good and it's a sweet love story with a sexy military man. I can't wait to get Cade's story next.
This reminded me a lot of book four, they two main characters spend one night together, then they're apart for months contacting each other only via email. Emme is a flight attendant, so it's a little easier for her to travel to see Nathan. I liked Nathan, he was a sweet guy who gave Emme the space she needed until she was ready for a relationship. Low angst, no stupid misunderstandings, lots of sex.
This my first book from Zoe York and hmm ... why haven't I read her books before?? This was emotional and sexy! The audiobook narration was fabulous too!
I enjoyed this romantic novella, it was well written. I liked the characters and the way their relationship evolved, I only wished it was longer because I really liked their chemistry.
On the day her divorce is finalized, flight attendant Emme Ryan is trying to leave town when a snowstorm grounds all flights. She gets flirty with Navy SEAL Nathan Myers, and then the two have a smoking hot one-night stand that eventually becomes much more.
I really liked the characters and their developing relationship. I would have liked for the author to go into more depth with their feelings and thoughts, but for a novella-length book, it was very good. Emme and Nathan have a lot of chemistry, and I love how he put notes in her things with his e-mail address, to let her decide when she was ready to move on from her divorce.
First let me say, novella? not hardly. I've been waiting a loooooooong time for Nathan and Emme's full story to be written and I cannot tell you how impressed I am with it. I first met Nathan and Emme in what I would consider a novella/short story as part of the LOL Romantic Comedy Anthology - Volume 3 - Sixteen All-New Romance Stories by Bestselling Authors!. THAT novella was more of a prequel of things to come .. it left you hanging, but it satisfied as well. It was a moment in time. It was a beautifully written one-night stand, with the possibility of more if the author chose. And bless her heart, she did :) lucky us!!
Now on to the full journey of Nathan and Emme. As I mentioned already, Emme and Nathan meet and in turns into a one-night stand. But it's a beautiful, sexy, and sensually wicked one-night .. with no names. It's endearing and romantic and just plain sweet! THEY are the cutest two people I've read in quite some time. Everything about Nathan and Emme is rainbows and gumdrops, them and their journey both!
Nathan is a Navy SEAL on his way back home to San Diego and Emme is a flight attendant based out of Chicago. She's newly divorced from a not so trusting man and is still reeling from it all ... her ex-husband wasn't faithful and it took longer for the divorce to come through than the marriage actually lasted. She hasn't had the best of years.
So Nathan and Emme meet at O'Hare International. Both are stranded due to weather ... one thing leads to another and SWOOSH, Cupid's arrow hits the mark :) But they have to part ways. They live on opposite sides of the country. They have lives to get back to, especially Emme...but not before Nathan leaves his mark #stickynotes :)
Their relationship forms long distant. The pace is set by Emme because Nathan knows that's what she needs. It grows via airways, first by emails progressing into texts until they finally come face to face one year after they meet :) ... and their relationship begins to move to HEA!
When I told you before that everything about Nathan and Emme and their journey was rainbows and gumdrops I wasn't kidding but make no mistake, these two exploded when they were under the sheets. Their sexual desire was wicked HOT, every single time. I have to give props to Zoe York for maintaining the sweetness of the story while also making it devastatingly sexy. Those two things are almost impossible to pull off. I've never read a book before that made me smile from page one non-stop and also made my girly parts tingle ;) Out of all the SEALs Undone stories, I recommend this one the highest. Altho Nathan and Emme are not #mypeople, their story is most definitely #mystory!
Fall Fast was originally published as a newsletter short story in the middle of Zoe York's SEALs Undone series. I'm thrilled that she has followed through and expanded this into a full novella. I read the original short story and was intrigued with how she structured the introduction of the characters and where she left off at the end of the short story - with the anonymous couple going their separate ways and one leaving a clue for the other.
Zoe York creates fantastic alpha-male characters in this series. Nathan, like the other SEALs on his team, is a warrior through and through. We see a lighter side of him too, though, as he thinks about visiting his sister and having "Uncle Nathan Fun Times" with his nieces and nephews. You also see his lighter side when dealing with his teammates in non-business activities. He's got a great sense of humor. But also like every SEAL in the series, he's got an amazing sensitive side. He decides that what he wants early on is Emme. He truly did "Fall Fast". But he understands why she's hesitant to get involved in a new relationship and he waits patiently until he knows she's ready. When she finally admits that she's ready, I laughed at his response. "Okay? Shit, I should have been pushy before." - that was a text!
And in true SEALs Undone fashion, Nathan comes completely unglued when it comes to falling in love with Emme. He gets so completely in his head and literally tongue tied as he finds himself needing to lay his heart of the line. Luckily, Emme is as careful with his heart as he is with hers. A happy edition to the SEALs Undone series.
Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Fall Fast by Zoe York is the 5th book in the SEALs Undone Series.
Nathan Meyers, the career-oriented, confirmed bachelor, has been grounded by a snow storm in Chicago. Nathan is just looking for a little company to pass the time until he can get a flight home.
Emme Ryan is a Chicago-based flight attendant still reeling from the impact of an incredibly short but trustless marriage. Emme is feeling a bit nervous when she accepts Nathan’s invite to dinner, but that doesn’t stop her from extending the evening to an out-of-site hallway.
After an electrifying jump start that leaves the reader breathless and starving for more, this story has a nice, slow, and smoldering pace. It’s a journey in patience and unspoken perseverance on Nathan’s part as he respects Emme’s feelings to the point of watching for her to pace their progression in the relationship. The romance world needs more Nathan Meyers in it.
This story has a HEA and leaves no cliffhanger. There are characters referenced from previous books but this a standalone story. For the best experience, it would be better to read the books in series order.
I cannot get my fill of Zoe York’s writing. She taps into all the right “feelies” for me and this book does the same thing!
This book was gifted to me by Zoe York in exchange for my honest review.
Nathan and Emme meet by chance at Chicago airport when snow delays all flights. Emme is a flight attendant, newly divorced, burnt by love, and scared to trust, again. Nathan is a SEAL on leave, on his way home after visiting his family. The mutual attraction is immediate, the depth of feeling between two strangers astounding, although Nathan can see that Emme’s wary and a bit skittish.
“She didn’t know how to handle the emotions he stirred in her. Heavier, more potent than anything she’d experienced in her marriage. A billion times more dangerous.”
This sweet, sexy novella follows the blossoming of their relationship – one unforgettable night turns into months of long-distance pen-friendship, which is flirty but guarded, until Emme makes a decision that steps it up.
“He wanted every bit of her. He wanted more. An entire future, a lifetime, and he wanted to show her they already had it.”
Gorgeous, easy-to-read story about a love and passion that cannot be denied. I loved Nathan’s patience and actions-speak-than-words desire for Emme, whilst she gradually came to realise just how deeply she was invested in him.
Love this series..and let me say that Nathan and Emme really set the pages on fire....Only Zoe York can bring and love these two very much... When they met in Chicago at the airport neither one was expecting to FALL FAST...which is what they did, but would ever admit it? It was a sweet story for these two. Tender moments..could they make things work? Her crazy flying schedule? His over seas missions? Wait and see..
Nathan and Emme meet in the airport during a snowstorm. They end up having a one night stand with no names exchanged. But Nathan wants more and leaves her several notes to make sure that she finds them. So the next move is hers since she has his email address. Several weeks later, Emme emails Nathan and things progress from there. He knows how he feels but is waiting for her to catch up with. I really love this series and I'm glad there are more.
-pen pals -Long distance relationship -one night stand gone right -Insta connection but not insta love -Heroine with commitment issues
I LOVED THIS ONE SO MUCH!!! It honestly had me giggling and smiling way too hard at my phone. Nathan and Em are super super cute. This couple had an insta connection but it definitely took time for them to fall in love and finally be able to be together and I loved every minute of it.
Can you call in love in one night while snowed in? Is it really love or just lust?
I felt sorry for Nathan because he fell for Emme the moment he saw her but he had to keep his feelings in check so she didn't run away. Emme just got the final divorce papers and is trying to get out of town for few days to kind of regroup. Emme is very skittish when they meet but Nathan convinces her to eat with him. Both their flights are cancelled because of snowstorm so they spend the night together. Over the next six months they get to know each other through email. Then Emme decides to move to California mostly for her job but also to be closer to Nathan. They are now spending most weekends together and but feelings are now involved but neither will voice them. Nathan doesn't want to scare her with his feelings and make her run, while Emme's feelings are scaring her but she doesn't know if she can trust her feelings. Will they get things figures out and be able to open up about how they feel or will Emme be to scared and run?
This book was actually better than I expected. I was expecting falls in love immediately after one night together. And it was that but it also wasn’t.
They had an immediate connection but she still left. They emailed for months back and forth. She had time to process and get over her divorce.
And even when they moved to the same coast, she still kept her independence. She still proceeded cautiously. I liked that her hang ups were reasonable.
And I like that Nathan was so freaking patient with her. He did everything he could to take things slow, to show her he cared and was all in. He took time needed to soothe her fears about relationships.
The ending was a bit awkward for me. It seemed to go from “I’m still worried” to “I’m all in in about ten seconds” but that’s ok. Either way it was well written and sweet and an unexpected surprise.
This ONS to pen pals to forever novella had a wonderful mix of sweet, spicy, and real life issues. Nathan is a Navy Seal stuck in the Chicago airport due to the weather. Emme is a recently divorced flight attendant and stuck in the same airport. Flight cancellations, a chance meeting, and sizzling chemistry start the journey to their HEA. I loved the notes/email/texts method of advancing their love story and illustrating their deepening connection. Despite its length, this novella was well written and included three dimensional characters, witty dialogue, and an engaging storyline. I’ll definitely read more in this series.
For me this book was not the best, it lacked story, the steamy passion and romance was there but above and beyond that there wasn’t enough substance with the story. It was a very easy read, almost to the point of too simplistic so I was loosing enjoyment and just going through the motions. I wasn’t engaged and fully drawn into the book which is unusual as I get lost in a good story. Sometimes I read a book and there’s a sadness it’s ended as it was so good. With this I am glad I got to the end so I can start another that this time hopefully excites and engages me .
Full disclosure: I like Zoe York and have read a bunch of her books. I'm actually planning to see what the books in this series cost because I liked this one enough to read some of the others.
Emme and Nathan's story is one of those romantic, sweet, and sultry tales where a clandestine meeting turns into a love. At no point did I feel either character's reactions were contrived...quite the opposite! Zoe York gives enough background that the reader understands why the story progresses as it does.
The odds are not in their favor, but through laughter, email, trust and attention another good military romance is made. Emme and Nathan have an interesting story and one that was full of fun moments even while dealing with heavy baggage. Both of their jobs out an interesting spin to long distance and scheduling, but it also was a fun creative way to let their romance build without some of the pressures seen in other romance books with constant time together.
This story is part of a series, but can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone as well.
AWESOME!! Everyone should have a love like Emme and Nathan's. I was enthralled from the first page to the last. It couldn't be more intense. They met in O'Hare airport during a snowstorm, both flights were canceled. Nothing to do but spend quality time together. They hated to say goodbye when it was time for them to board their flights. You just have to read this special love story, its wonderful.
