Erik Ead Trilogy #2

For the Ones We Love

Rate this book
Kelli and Erik continue with the story of their lives, their relationship, and their expectations of each other.

In this book, the second of three, we see the exposure of these two characters, as well as the other characters of Book I, to life...

This Book is different than Book I in that it is more of the living, and less 'thinking'.

Someone steals from the motorcycle club, and Erik begins to question loyalties, life, trust, and his exposure to people - the few he lets in his in his life.

These questions leave him seeking answers. Kelli sees changes in Erik and takes advantage of her opportunity.

This is what everyone wished for in Book I and did not get to read. Erik and Kelli 'doing', and less 'thinking'.

Prepare for a ride like no other, this book takes us on a journey through the lives of many, primarily Erik and Kelli.

Teddy, Heather, A-Train and the Bone are a few of the other characters that we are exposed to in this book.

Baby Girl II: For The One's We Love

5 I-Will-Be-Your-Baby-Girl-Anytime Stars

Wow. Just. Wow.
I loved this one so much more than I loved book one. There is so much that goes on....so much we experience and learn about the different characters. It's so much more than book one. Much more depth. Much more emotion.

I fell in love with Baby Girl I mostly because how relatable it was for me personally. The other reason I loved Baby Girl I was because it was an honest and raw story of two people trying to navigate their lives by merely surviving.

In book one, we were introduced to Kelli and Erik, who they were, and what they were looking for. We got to witness them surviving. Some may have found Kelli to be naive or annoying...but to me, she was real. Some may have found Erik to be arrogant and an asshole...but to me, he was real.

ex·ist
intr.v. ex·ist·ed, ex·ist·ing, ex·ists
1. To have actual being; be real.
2. To have life; live;
3. To continue to be;
4. To be present under certain circumstances or in a specified place

In Baby Girl II, we are introduced to Kelli and Erik on a completely different level. We get to witness them existing....as individuals....as one....as a couple.
There are some new characters introduced as well, along with some returning from book one.

GENE
"Once we find love, there's no question about what it is that we have. Love occupies your soul and becomes part of your being."

Gene is Kelli's father. He was briefly introduced in book one where he spoke about Kelli and her mother. In book two, Gene gets to meet Erik for the first time. Gene wants nothing but the best for Kelli. He wants someone who is going to charish her, protect her, and love her. She's his baby....the only other woman he has ever loved.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

TEDDY AND HEATHER
"Being with a girl that makes you feel good inside is better than damn near anything. Having someone in your life you look forward to seeing can sure make the time stand still whenever they're gone. When you finally get to see 'em again, the clock spins like mad. That's what life's all about; findin' that one that makes the clock spin like crazy. The way you know when a person is the person, that one that is special, well....it's when she fucks up your sense of time."

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I completely adored Teddy. He's just a down to earth good 'ol boy. He is loyal....to his club...to Erik...and most importantly, to Heather. He is head over heels for that girl. I mean....who wouldn't be? And...her name is Heather after all...and that's a pretty fantastic name ;)
She is just as smitten with Teddy as he is with her. She is ready for something good to happen in her life, and Teddy is that happiness she has been seeking.

The Bone
"Your heart, after being exposed to bitterness, pain, and death repeatedly, becomes scarred. Almost incapable of feeling. Just like if you cut yourself in the same spot over and over. You end up with a huge scar. That scar, in a sense, is protection. It's from a massive amount of exposure over a short period of time, a lifetime for instance, causes not near as much scarring"

The Bone...to me, he played a huge part in forcing Erik to face his past and let it go. A man of few words....but a man of so much meaning.

To move forward is to forgive. To forgive is to move forward.

A-Train
A-Train ...another loyal member of the club. He stands up for what he believes in and what is right. Kelli stood up for Train. She in turn showed her devotion to not only Erik, but to the things he holds dear to his heart.

"Sometimes, life offers us difficult decisions. Really, really tough ones. Not the decisions that may just be a challenge to make, but decisions that may have an effect on us for the rest of our lives. If the outcome associated with the decision is favorable, the end result is a celebration. If the outcome isn't, the rest of your life may take an alternate course."

A few other characters of note....King, Easter, Shakey, and Jake. Like the others, these guys are committed to their club and to the well being of their brothers. Loyalty and trust is huge for them.

Ok...let's get onto the main event...the sex first....

Jesus. H. Christ.
I am probably going to go to hell for taking the Lord's name in vein while discussing panty melting sex. Ooops!
Hot. Bothered. And wet. That's the best way I can describe what went on.

Erik and Kelli
I truly feel that Erik made leaps and bounds in this book in regards to his relationship with Kelli and his own personal growth. He has basically lived his life going from woman to woman, never giving his heart or his love. The one woman he loved died. His mother has been gone for several years, yet Erik can't seem to let go and move forward. He doesn't trust easily. He doesn't love any easier.

"Trust. You may not always be able to trust the person that you love, but you can always love the person you trust.

Love at first sight. Love the just is. That would mean trust at first sight. Trust that just is. The thought of that, to me, was foolish.

Trust, for me, had always been a difficult thing. I have lived a life where I never really exposed myself to many people who I had to trust. With me, trust was something that had to be earned, and I made it difficult for a person to earn my trust. I typically tested them, giving them opportunities to make a mistake or fail me. In time, it seemed that most eventually did. The few that remained were my brothers, and I held them close to my heart."

After time thinking and being lectured by Bone, Erik takes a long look at his life, his past, his present, and what he wants for his future. He consistently tests Kelli...plays with her head. He is waiting for HER to do something he doesn't like so he has reason to let her go if needed. But as time goes on...he realizes he wants a happily ever after....so to speak.
He wants Kelli. He wants commitment. He is completely and utterly lost to this woman.
"All this woman had to do to impress me was exist."

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Kelli. She so desperately wants to be Erik's. She wants him to claim her as his.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

She wants nothing more than to make him happy and please him...to love him...for him to love her just as desperately. She wants him to commit to her.

"Loving someone is easy. When the point in time comes that it happens, you don't wonder, you know. Love isn't questioned, and love certainly isn't developed. I really don't care what anyone says.

Love just is.
Love just happens, and there isn't a damned thing you can do about it.

Love has the ability to take away your breath or breathe life into you. Love has the capacity to make you feel as small as an infant or as tall as a giant. Love is a magnificent gift.

Love is. Well, love just is. Love cannot be defined. I am in love."

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Kelli is finding her voice in their relationship. She's learning to express her needs and wants. Yes....yes she most certainly is....Hahaha!
"If you ever, ever, ever stop fucking me. Ever. I will hunt you down. I will hunt you down, and I will kill you. You think Slick got it bad? Stop fucking me. Just stop. And see what happens."

This girl is inside my head. I get her. I AM her on most levels. I get her wants, her needs, her thoughts, her fears. I live with them in my own head most days.
"All I wanted was for him to be proud of me.
When he told me that he was proud, the words filled me. They filled me with a feeling that provided me with life. I could live off of that pride alone. Making the man I loved feel proud of me was all that I wanted from life."

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

When Erik met Kelli in book one, you could tell it was going to turn into something important and meaningful...something life changing for both of them. Something that taught both Erik and Kelli about trust...about love...and about opening your eyes and your heart.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

It taught them about seizing once in a lifetime opportunities.
"Life has proven to me that the most amazing things happen at the times you least expect them. God's greatest offerings can often, by the best of us, be overlooked. I have always believed that God provides us with opportunities, and it is our responsibility to recognize them as such."

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

^^^Guess what? Yup.....I finally get it ^^^

To the author:

Scott....you do just that. You inspire and you make people think. You've inspired me and you sure as hell make me think with every word you type, no matter the story.

My hats off to you sir....

I can't wait to see what level you take these two next!

I will close it out with a quote that I loved...even though this gentleman didn't have much of a role for us to get to know him...

In the words of Jake...
"The greatest sign of commitment is giving up what we enjoy to take care of what we love."

Baby Girl book II.

Well, well, well.

I must get this out there first. The scene in the kitchen (in BOOK II) puts the abandoned house scene in book I to absolute shame.

Now, the book. Let us talk about different. This book, compared to book one, is night and day.

This is not thinking. This is living, doing,action... the characters are actually involved in a story with a plot/subplots, and it is fabulous.

The author used Book one to 'set up' the characters, introduce them, their ways of thinking, and their personalities. It is apparent that it was his intent all along to write three books that will be made into one book when combined.

This book is the 'meat' of that book. The story. The plot. The 'living'. And it is quite a story.

Want sex? Done.

Want love? Done.

Alpha males? Several. Motorcycles? Yep. Fighting? Yep.

Want romance...? Well, define it.....but imho, Done. And then some.

What about a great ending?

HOLY SH%T

This book allows us to understand that people are vulnerable, all people. Even the biggest of pricks can reach a point that they 'need' someone. It may take pushing a little harder, or a little further, but we all get there. Even if we have to shove you into a dark closet so you can't see the expression on our face. It doesn't mean we aren't in 'need'. It may mean we don't want you to know what we're feeling....

Vulnerability is a bitch.

Erik gets pushed in this book to the limit, many times. Many. Times.

Kelli shows her true self, and I must say, I like who she is. She's quite certain of what she wants, and she will sacrifice more than you know to get it...

To tell any more would require spoilers.

Every chapter sets the pace for the next.

Bring a fan, and be ready for an all nighter.

WOW.

Oh, and self promotion? Not an ounce. HAHAHAHA

How about self destruction.

A MUST READ

5 BEAUTIFUL Stars!! I think I may be in love w/this group of characters.

Let's just get this out of the way. Kelli w/an "I" is one lucky little biatch! I mean, Good Gawd Dayummm:)) photo image_zps0c082a8d.jpg

The closet. The shower. Hell, those are my favs but there's plenty to choose from. If you like steam w/your reads. Like smokin steam.....READ THIS!
And the music is ON POINT.

Oh the story lol. It's beautiful. These characters dig into your soul. There's just something about each one that makes you want more. Love that! I found myself caring about the surrounding characters just as much as the MC's.
Erik had the most growth IMO. Which in turn made Kelli more comfortable. They really are too sweet together. You can feel it off the pages. **sigh** I can't tell you how many times I just set back and smiled. You know that cheezy giddy smile lol. Yep, that was me. It just made me feel all warm and fuzzy:))

I absolutely adore this series. True. It's real, clever, sweet, and so smokin HOT!

Well played. Well played;))

********** 5+ BEAUTIFUL STARS********

I thought Baby Girl was good.

Baby Girl II was so much more.”Way more than I was expecting.” I honestly did not think it could of gotten any better. Boy was so wrong.

Women read a lot of books (erotica) and lets face it we fantasize about the characters. But when you come across a book that is well, in my option REAL that book speaks to you on so many levels. The way Scott Hildreth writes makes you stop and think about “LIFE” in general. While reading Baby Girl II I found myself actually comparing things in my life with what Erik said and so many things were right on point.

I will try and not make this to damn long. Just point out a few key things.

In Baby Girl II you get a deeper incite on Erik. Things like BROTHERHOOD, LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, COMMENTMENT AND TRUST.

Kelli, I think has matured more in this book with the help of Erik of course. And I adore them both. They compliment each other so well.

Erik is constantly testing Kelli to find flaws. But he is also always there protecting her, providing for her, thinking of her needs above his own and just making her feel special.

Erik is unsure of his feeling toward Kelli throughout the book. It takes his Brothers in the MC to have a intervention of some sorts to lay it all out for him that he just MIGHT be in love with the girl.

Kelli is always proving herself to Erik. In all things. Always making him proud of her. And with him being proud and happy that makes her happy.

More characters develop to the story like The Bone, A-Train, King, Teddy, Heather and a lot others. I love the fact that Scott gives us back stories on all his characters.

I love Teddy and Heather I sure hope I will be reading more of them as well as Doc and Kelli. Well hell who am I kidding I want more of all of them.

If you liked Baby Girl, you'll be blown away by Baby Girl II. This book has a totally different feel and tone then the first book. Erik and Kelli are still the main couple to watch. We now get a chance to really get to know Erik's brothers from his MC and to play catch up with Teddy aka Crash and Heather. Side note, I simply adored Teddy & Heather together, they made me smile!

I love the dual POV, I'm a nosey person by nature so knowing what Erik or Kelli was thinking made my day! It also stressed me out a little,Kelli just wants to please Erik and make him proud, any person who has the instinct to be a caregiver understands the personal pride in this act,but while Kelli is taking care of Erik she seems oblivious to his struggles with his commitment and trust issues towards her. My emotions where all over the place with how real this book felt,my heart really went out to Kelli at times.

I can't possibility leave this review without mentioning the sex in this book,it really was a real cock coaster of a ride and the kitchen scene **fanning myself** really does put the abandon farm house scene to shame!!
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where Erik and Kelli's journey takes them.

4.5 Stars

Having someone in your life you look forward to seeing can sure make the time stand still whenever they're gone.

I am seriously hooked on this series and am in love with a new Alpha - Erik Ead. In book 1 we got to watch the journey of Erik and Kelli begin...in book 2 we get to see the two of them move from wanting a relationship without love to struggling with the fact they are falling in love with each other.

Mr. Hildreth writes his characters inner monologue with so much depth, I could completely grasp the struggle Erik had with admitting he was falling in love and Kelli struggling with trying to be what Erik needed so he would never let her go.

Also in this book we get a lot more of the secondary characters. The approach Mr. Hildreth takes when talking about Erik's MC is different than a lot of what I read....its a different view of the dynamics of a MC and I felt an instant connection to these guys.

This book was over the charts hot and again Kelli and Erik steam up the pages in the most erotic ways possible.

In the end, I got another tearful and beautiful ending...looking forward to the next book of this series!

** long review**
This second book in the Baby Girl series presents Erik and Kelli as they continue to develop their relationship. There are tons of ultra-hot sex scenes. Other fantastic characters play very important roles in this book as well.
Erik is as dominating as ever, which of course, makes this book an instant panty-dropper. Kelli wants to please and keep him.
Although at first Erik keeps expecting Kelli to screw up so he can call everything off , he develops feelings that are beyond what he ever expected. Erik is thrown off balance and feels vulnerable while he makes sense of what's happening to him. So he plays with her mind, subjects her body to sexual torture and uses their encounters as a means to express himself to her. Various events make them question everything and obligate them to take action. Kelli puts herself on the line, Erik has choices to make, and the rest of the characters change the story from one that is all about Erik and Kelli , to one about everything that surrounds them and makes them a " we".
Keep in mind, the writing style for this author is beyond exceptional. There are hidden meanings and a lot of symbolism, so there is an amount of depth that makes these series very satisfying to read. The characters and plot progress very realistically and at a good pace. Sex scenes are all super hot and very diverse, so enjoy!!

The continuation of this series begins right where it left off. Erik continues to try to trip up Kelli because of trust issues, which are well founded. But Kelli is the real deal in Eriks eyes as far as he can see.
Another element in this series is the MC, Erik the president, I really love the detail and emotions that are described within the brotherhood. Also how people perceive others that ride bikes and are in a MC. It is well described the reality of some bikers are some of the kindest people you will ever meet!
Another thing I noticed in this authors books that I have read is the respect and how they protect women and how it is demanded, thank you for that!
This story introduces other characters as well, Teddy he is Eriks best brother and I was rolling with laughter with some of his comments. He is an amazing addition to the story.
The final chapters in this story made me literally cry, it was not expected at all and so wonderfully written. I will never forget that introduction.

Another incredible book from the brilliant mind of SD. I have come to expect nothing else but pure written perfection from you and you have delivered, yet again. You always manage to bring such vibrant blinding colors to black and white.

I loved "watching" Kelli and Erik grow and change as a couple from book 1 to book 2. Teddy and Heather were also a joy to read about. My favorite thing about your writing (besides the smoking hot sex of course) is how real your stories always feel. I can see parts of myself in your characters especially Kelli. This is something that could happen in real life with anyone you know. As always you have left me ruined.

On to part 2.5 and 3.

"Baby Girl, you never cease to amaze me."

I totally agree with Erik Ead. I have to begin by confessing that I actually finished reading Baby Girl II a few weeks ago...

"You little fucker..."

Yes, it's taken me this long to gather my thoughts. I have been procrastinating... I mean contemplating! Having internal debates and re-reading... So, in fact it's partly Scott Hildreth's fault for continuing to write such bloody thought provoking, relevant, and to put it bluntly ~ such fucking HOT books!

Frankly, I wish I could just sit down over a vat of coffee, or screenshot the pages of notes I've scribbled on my musings about Erik and Kelli's continued journey...

I started this book with great expectations, and through the course of the book, I found myself at the same understanding as Kelli:

"Live life with hope, and not expectations. He said unmet expectations led to disappointment. Having hope allows us to do just that, hope."

By the end, I had hope.

Now the reason I've been debating with myself, is because unlike some stories which have a clear-cut A ->B plot, Scott Hildreth's stories are like an onion wrapped in a spider's web... Yes, I'm well aware of what I've just said. Bear with me. As you read, you are peeling back the layers and getting a deeper insight into the characters and stories contained within... But there are multiple themes and stories, and characters, all interplaying and crossing over each other... All impacting the story as a whole.

And THAT is what I love about his books (even the sub-characters are integral), and he hasn't disappointed!

TRUST.
LOVE.
FAMILY.
BROTHERHOOD.
STRENGTH.
GROWTH.
HONESTY.

These are just some of the themes explored in Baby Girl II, and they are gripping and explosive. There is nothing passive about this book or the characters: The progressive story of Erik and Kelli interlaced with the story of Erik's MC and Brotherhood was genius.

Which brings me to Teddy... God I love Teddy... He's a bit of an enigma. One minute sticking his finger in cold beer and trying to get everyone else too as well, then coming out with just the right thing to say at the right moment the next. He.Gets.Erik.

"We get three options in life. Get busy living, get busy just being, or get busy dying. You're somewhere between dying and just being."

Erik has built up emotional barriers, holding him down, anchoring him and preventing him from moving along. A wall that needs to be broken down by Kelli and his friends. He is static. He sees things as a series of "potential failure(s)." He tried to sabotage relationships by pushing the limits...

But Kelli pushes back now.

STRENGTH.

This reminded me of an image. I see Erik as slightly hardened like stone (I haven't gotten to the sex yet! Just saying...). Kelli is like water. To the eye, stone seems strong and impenetrable, whereas water is soft and fluid. This then got me thinking about the effects of water over stone with time... And this to me seemed perfect

 photo 171C3332-A8AA-43CE-BD7D-155CF368F90C.png

Kelli has grown. She is becoming more comfortable with herself and with Erik. Whereas before she was doing things she thought would gain his approval, now she's coming into her own and pushing him too!

BALANCE.

I think this sums it up perfectly too...

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage." ~ Lao Tzu

Kelli has found her courage.

"I'll fuck you until you tap out. Or until that big cock of yours is limp. But I tell you what I won't do. I won't fucking quit. Ever."

Hell, let's face it... I have a definite girl crush on Kelli now too. Her confidence and humour... Damn... Yep, make some room Kace and Vee!

 photo 271EF595-8386-44E0-97A4-465721B5A656.png

Especially after re-reading the seriously HAWT sex scenes... I mean...

CLOSET SCENE

"Oh....my....fuck."

SHOWER

"Oh. My. God. Oh..."

145mph CAR SCENE

"Fuck...Oh...My...God...I'm...going...to..."
(Is it possible to feel exhilarated, horny and want to pee yourself laughing at the same time? "Lives were at stake." *snort*

KITCHEN

"I can't take this. I'm going to explode. It's.Just.Too.Much."

Seriously... Speechless... yep... jealous?... Hell, yes!

Borrowing from Kelli...

"Who in their right fucking minds wants a man on a horse with a bouquet of flowers, when they can have a tattooed Erik fucking Ead?"

Squish.

I mean, let's face it... Why the hell should we compartmentalize things into neat categories?

Love = hearts and flowers.
Family = a nuclear family.
Friends = always the same background, social class, and intellect.

Sometimes things just fit. There's no need to over think why. Some things are just meant to be.

Erik and his friends (Teddy, A-Train, The Bone, Jake...) just fit. Brotherhood... His family.

Teddy and Heather just fit.

Erik and Kelli... They fit.

And I.WANT.MORE!

Scott Hildreth has a sneaky way of leaving you with just the right balance of want and need!

I am invested in these characters. I am invested in their stories. I am invested in Scott Hildreth's words.

Damn, I can't wait to read the next book!

I am interested to see how Scott Hildreth tops this ;)

One of my favourite quotes?... When Erik admits

Book 2 of The Baby Girl Trilogy grabbed me more so than the 1st and I couldn't put it down.
Eric's way of thinking is very intense at times but very VERY relatable and it gets your brain working to really analyze what was being read.
I love all of the guys in the M.C and all of the camaraderie of all the characters.

The journey is continuing with Erik and Kelli but it is delving deeper and farther than in Baby Girl I. The definition of Raw - red and painful, esp. as the result of skin abrasion.(yes we can mention that Kelli has some welcomed abrasions on her rear-end) Well, I can say that my heart even felt red and painful after book II. It was beyond explainable raw emotions. I totally and completely fell in love with the fact that we finally got to feel Erik's "raw" emotions. We learned about his friends (Teddy, Crash, A Train, Bunny), his trust issues, his need for control, his secret desires, his fears and his reasons for his choices. He has become completely protective over Kelli early on in book II. This is the turning point in my mind where Erik believes that he has found the one. But he is not sure how to handle the emotions that keep him at bay. Kelli - "There are things a man can say that make you think he cares for you. There are things he can do that make you pretty certain. There's absolutely nothing about a man defending your honor - being willing to stand up and actually risk his life in a fight-that does anything but confirm what he feels inside. Erik. Made. Me. Melt."

Erik - "Life is about opportunities and options. I'm going to give you both" .

We see and feel Kelli getting stronger through out the entire book. She getting comfortable in her own skin, character, path in life. We can feel her confidence growing just as well feel Erik's love for Kelli growing. I can not say enough about this book bringing me not just through the journey on paper, but it makes me still feel that I am walking side by side with Kelli and Erik.

I definitely enjoyed the continuation of Erik and Kelli. However, I really started getting tired of Kelli always wanting to make Erik proud and being quiet because she didn't want to upset him. However, thinking about this.. a lot of women do this in a relationship and you just want to scream and say stand up for yourself, but Erik wasn't really doing anything bad to her. I really don't like the banter between Kelli and Heather.. doesn't seem real or like they are trying to hard to put each other down. I don't know I just don't feel a connection to their relationship.

Saying all of this , the ending is totally what made the book for me. No spoilers given but it definitely made me see Erik in a different brighter light!!

Can't wait for book 3!!!!

So one thing can be said about this series, it is totally hot!! I would recommend the series for probably that reason alone, sometimes you just need hot sex scenes. Im still not a fan of Kelli in this book. I feel like she just doesnt have any identity. I think Erik is an unique character, Christian Grey meets Horse (Reapers Property), which can be a really hot combination. I liked the additional characters from the MC club as well. I didnt think there was much of a plot, the progression in Erik and Kellis relationship was nice. I just felt like there wasnt a lot more to the book. I will read the third book because I am curious to see what Erik has in store for Kelli, with his hints of whats to come I can only imagine.

To start off, I must say "Finally"!!! I am seriously crushin on Erik at the end of Baby Girl II. He is opening up and he is magnificent. What woman would not want him (maybe the meek ones wouldn't). He can be a little effin overwhelming. WOW

I have to give props to the character Teddy, I want him as my new bff!!!! Love him too. And the MC guys have more exposure in this one. The MC has a family bond with Kelli and they have accepted her into their group. That was a good highlight in the story among so many others.

So I am loving this series....thus my five stars. All I can say is start the series!! The imagination of Scott Hildreth continues to leave me panting....It's that orgasmic!!! Be adventurous people (you know you want to)!!!!

Learning to Love

Absolutely the best book on changing your perception of living life after the loss of a loved one. Change is definitely very difficult for Erik Ead. Learning to manage foreign feelings, one of which you have never had, by allowing a person to come into your life can be the hardest thing ever. Kelli was that person for Erik...the love that grew between them was like nothing else.

Erik decides to give into his passions. He knows that Kelli could be the end for him. This story shows how two souls can come together and mesh perfectly.

This is an amazing novel that gives more in depth into the lifestyles and love of Kelli and Erik. It is much more intense and aggressive than the first. It is very hot and entertaining read.

A brilliant second book in this series! Again i love the dual POV, being able to see Erik and Kelli's thoughts and feelings. Teddy 'Crash' is so funny!! This is again so raw like the first book, more d/s relationship and very HOT scenes! I didn't expect it to end the way it did, i was almost in tears! It was lovely to see Erik like this and to realise how special him and Kelli are together.

Loved this book! A great follow up and seeing the characters grow was amazing. I appreciate a book that can not only make you hot but make you think and that's what Scott has done with this series for me. Watching Erik's character grow and become more comfortable is probably some of my favorite moments. I am still amazed at how much I am enjoying this series.

I enjoy watching Erik and Kelli's relationship develop further...their sex is beyond a simple union of two people...it is a compulsion...a searing need of two soul mates to fill a void that they can only find in each other...I have already purchased book 2.5...

Amazing book about learning to love and let go of the past, living in the moment. Erik Ead is a very difficult man to get to know. He is very careful about who he lets into his life. Kelli is the one who, together they learned how to love.

Fantastic! The love that Kelli has for Erik is all consuming. Will Erik's MC buddies accept his girl? Will he be able to move past his mother's death and find love again? The inner dialogue and descriptive writing blew me away.
