Knight #3

Knight & Day

Rate this book
Kara Brookes hates liars.

Dylan Day hasn't told the truth from the moment his plane touched down in Ibiza.

It's a recipe for disaster.

Romantic, emotional and intensely erotic, Knight & Day is the thrilling final installment of the USA Today bestselling Knight Series from Kitty French.

Lucien and Sophie are back, and have set up camp on the sun-drenched isle of Ibiza for the opening of the latest of Lucien's strictly adult clubs.

They're joined for the summer by Sophie's best friend Kara, and Dylan Day, Lucien's newly appointed club manager.

The laid back, smokin' hot surf guy from California seems almost too good to be true... but there's no smoke without fire.

It's going to be a long hot summer of love, lust, lies and wedding bells. But who will get their happy ever after?

Knight & Day is the thrilling conclusion to the USA Today best-selling Knight erotic trilogy. Whilst it can be read as a stand alone story, it's best enjoyed as the finale of the set.

★★★★! Knight & Day (stand-alone book 3). Dylan & Kara are swept away by business & pleasure, but their bliss is soon threatened by secrets!

‘It’s not love, but it sure as hell is the best sex ever.’

Books in Knight Series should be read in order:
Book 1: Knight & Play (Lucien & Sophie)
Book 2: Knight & Stay (Lucien & Sophie)
Book 3: Knight & Day (Dylan & Kara)

Knight & Day opens up with American Dylan Day arriving in Ibiza to start anew. He has a past and secrets that will unfold as the story progresses. Lucien Knight, Sophie and her friend and business partner, Kara Brookes are scheduled to spend the next several months on the island opening up yet another adult club with attached boutique. Dylan finds himself hired, on a trial basis, as the club’s new General Manager.

 photo Pleasuerebysb_zps214d44a5.gif

Dylan and Kara have an instant attraction, but find themselves fighting their lust in order to keep it professional. Although soon they give in to pleasure and some mind-blowing sex. After a successful grand opening they spend their work hours absorbed with running the club and their free-time falling in and out of bed (or should I say bunk as Dylan lives on a boat).

Trouble in paradise up ahead when Dylan’s past and secrets comes back to haunt them and threatens to knock everything overboard!

Five words to describe Dylan Day: Conflicted, charming, sexy, indecisive and lovable.

“To the moon and back, English.”

Five words to describe Kara Brookes: Outspoken, strong, smart, feisty and loyal.

“It’s my downfall. I like sugar. I like fast cars. I like sexy men.”

We are also treated to lots of Lucien and Sophie and some new and wonderful events in their lives. Knight & Day wraps up series wonderfully!

Excellent storytelling! Compelling characters! Scorching sex scenes! The Knight series has been a memorable journey! I am highly recommending!

“I meant every word of it, Dylan Day. Lie to me and I’ll cut your cock off and pickle it.”

5 KITTY FRENCH STARS.

description

Kitty French, I want to be your best friend, we can have cups of tea, and cadbury's chocolate and talk non stop about Lucien Knight together ... please? Ok slightly over the top, but I really love this authors romantic genius and heart-melting writing. I know what you are most probably thinking, here we go again another gushing review but I can't help it, my ratings all come from a love of all things, well, love and when a book gives me the swirly tummy feeling it's all about the high ratings. This story already had my undivided attention mainly because I adored the first two books in the series. So with a huge expectation and an addiction to this author I anticipated that I was in for a reading treat and I can gladly report that the book delivered. Here are my 'I-heart-this-author' book thoughts ...

description

What's it all about?
With an already successful chain of clubs Lucien Knight has his sights set on the sunny Ibiza as his next business destination, life could not be more perfect for this once troubled man, he has the love of his life by his side and a happy future to look forward to. So with a highly anticipated opening of this new venture Lucien, Sophie and Sophie's best friend, Kara make there way to the sun drenched isle of Ibiza to make sure that everything runs smoothly for the big launch. A summer of hope, love and declarations of forever are on the cards for Lucien and Sophia, but this summer has more plans for just the one couple. Kara is happily moving on from a jilted love affair at the altar not interested in falling in love again nothing surprises her more when she meets the new club manager, Dylan Day this American, smooth talking guy from California has heartache written all over him, but when temptation gives way to lust this couple may just find themselves heading towards true feelings. But when drama, secrets and the end of summer are just around the corner they may find it more difficult to find their happy ending. With a perfect conclusion to one couples story and a sizzling start of another, knight and Day is a story not to be missed.

What did I love?
First things first if you are not aware (or even interested) Lucien knight is one of my all time favourite Heroes and Lucien and Sophie are a favourite couple of mine too. So if you have not already met this series yet then I urge you to stop what you are doing and get one clicking, I'm convinced you will not be disappointed. So back to the book, I love almost everything about this conclusion to the series, I really admired how the author played this ending out, we have the beautiful conclusion to Lucien and Sophie's love saga and we get a fresh, sizzling look at a new couple, Dylan and Kara. You could say two for the price of one, complete bonus. Kitty French has not dragged out a series like I have seen in recent times with trilogies, in fact she has delivered what all fans of this series have wanted, a further look into the lives of characters that we have grown to love and given the book a great double love story feel to it. Looking back at my notes I have high-lighted conversation after conversation the dialogue between the characters went from funny, to sweet, to sexy, to outright hand-on-heart-I'm-melting, kitty French definitely has more than a few tricks up her sleeves when it comes to making her characters conversations jump out of the pages. The biggest and most pleasing aspect of the story telling of this series for me is how the author combines romance with erotic story telling, even with the steamiest of scenes in the book my heart would still be melting (and other parts too)! Lucien and Sophie will always stay in my book heart I love their connection and I really believe the authors imagination but also Kitty French did not let me down with her introduction of a new couple, I loved Kara and Dylan and even with the added drama I fell so in love with the story and all the scrumptious romance. Well played Kitty French, you keep writing and I'll keep reading.

Final thoughts ...
It's always a little bittersweet reading the last book of a series, for a romance addict (like me) I invest emotions in my reading time, so whilst I adored this series I'm sad to say goodbye. Luckily Kitty French is here to stay and I'm giddy with addict excitement at what she has next in store for her readers, until then I can look forward to a re - read of the series in the future and the happiness of seeing other like minded readers pick up this series and fall in love. Don't delay gorgeous friends, go grab it ... Enjoy, kisses.

Knight and Play is the final instalment of Lucien and Sophie's gorgeous fairy tale. We watch them continue their love story and become ever more entwined with each others heart and soul. In addition we have a new character with a story and romance of their very own. For me, it was like a beautiful, extended epilogue for Lucien and Sophie with another couples drama filled, touchingly emotional, story mixed in.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, Kitty French paints the most gorgeous pictures with her words. I can always see her stories so clearly. The subtle actions she describes of her characters, bring it to life for me, giving texture and beauty, creating ambience and feeling.

It's a story about love and friendship, old and knew, being there for others, moving on, being honest and facing up to whatever life throws at you.

It was like re-visiting old friends and making new ones.

Well I must say this was an enjoyable trip to Ibiza. To meet Dylan and Kara. Loved the first two books in this series and had high hopes for this one. Not sure if I realized it was not about Lucien and Sophie. But they were there and, as always, Lucien does not disappoint.

Dylan, mmm, very nice indeed!

"I meant it, Dylan Day. Lie to me and I’ll cut your cock off and pickle it."

I liked Kara, she was feisty, knew her mind and went for what she wanted.

There were a few inconsistencies with the “words”. “Nappy” was used by an American. They use the word “diaper”. I know the author is British but really editors or beta readers should pick up on these things. And we won’t go into the “knickers” and “panties” debate!! God only know how a comment about a pair of “knickers” would be taken.

Sad to see the end of this series, I enjoyed my trip with Knight & Co.!

DNF @ 30% (I think due to bad timing and nothing else) so I am not going to rate this.

This was my initial reaction when I heard about this book: WHO THE EFFF are Dylan Day and Kara???????

Now I know and here are my thoughts ...

I had a very hard time relating to Kara. Woman, you were left at the altar a year ago. Get over it. I would have probably sympathized with her more had she lost her husband/long time boyfriend to some illness or whatever but this particular scenario just made me roll my eyes. A lot. I don't mean to sound like a heartless bitch but there are people out there who move on quicker from much worst and the fact that this was her excuse for 'swearing off men' didn't make me feel anything but annoyed towards her.

I absolutely HATED that she called Dylan 'Sailor' ... I mean to the point that I wanted to punch the fucking wall every time I saw that word in print.

Dylan's character = AWESOME! I probably would have finished the bok just for him and I just might but not right now.

Lucien/Sophie ... I read book 2 (which was, at the time, a conclusion to their story) back in May so I pretty much moved on. I didn't care to revist them because, as they say, 'out of sight, out of mind' so I didn't exactly care for the them being a [big] part of this story.

All in all, the fans of this series will definitely enjoy this instalment. This is a well written series that comes with an original plot (no Mr Mercurial or timid virgins in here) so I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a light, sexy read.

Will I read future work by Ms. French??? Absolutely!

I'd rather have ugly truths than pretty lies

That gif? That's basically how I feel every time I pick up a Kitty French book. I just know that I am in for some major hotness and pantie melting steam. And let me just tell you, this book definitely delivered that...and then some. A gorgeous setting, a feisty heroine, and a swoon worthy hero, what more could a girl ask for?

After being left at the alter by her cheating fiance, Kara Brookes is done with liars. A woman that keeps a feisty and tough exterior, she keeps an endearingly emotional part of her hidden inside.
Kara was the toughest person in the world, until she wasn’t, and then she fell to pieces. But she did it in a scary, private way that allowed her to stay looking perfect on the outside while on the inside she was broken glass.

Dylan Day is a man trying to escape his past. The isle of Ibiza offers the perfect escape for anonymity. But when he gets a job as Lucien Knight's club manager, he finds himself inexplicably attracted to the feisty and refreshingly direct Kara.

The attraction between them is palpable, but Kara is determined to resistthe sexual pull of Dylan
You like things that are bad for you, English."
"It’s my downfall. I like sugar. I like fast cars. I like sexy men.
I let myself have the sugar. And the cars."
"Two out of three ain’t bad."

But soon enough the attraction proves to be too much for both of them and the sexual sparks begin to fly.
You like dirty talk, English?"
"You want me to tell you how good it feels to spread your legs wide open and fuck you with my fingers?” He crooked his fingers inside her, finding her g-spot and massaging it.
"You want me to tell you how much I love watching your mouth when you’re excited, and feeling your clit swell when I touch it? How much I want to lick it right now? To taste you, to feel you come in my mouth?” "Or maybe you want me to tell you how hard my cock is for you, and how it’s actually fucking hurting me because I want to screw you so badly? Is that it, Kara?"

I ask you, what woman in her right mind can resist that. Not this one, that's for damn sure. And Kara was no exception.

Dylan was one delicious walking orgasm. Everything that came out of the man's mouth got me hot.

But can their whirlwind affair survive the secrets and lies?

I really enjoyed this last installment of the Knight series. It was erotic and scorchingly hot. Exactly how I like my books. I loved Kara and her no filter mouth. She was feisty, flirty, and extremely endearing; my favorite type of heroine. Dylan, don't even get me started on him. I fell for him right away. He was just all kinds of delicious.

So why not 5 stars? Well, the mixing POVs did not really work for me. I understand that this was a continuation of Sophie and Lucien's story, but it felt like it was too much in this book. It was almost like they were squeezed in just to make an appearance, if that even makes sense. Don't get me wrong, the continuation of their story was romantic and sweet, and the end brought tears to my eyes. But the jumping POVs that went from Dylan to Kara to Sophie to Lucien with no clear transitions got to be confusing. I think I would have like to have more Dylan and Kara in this book, since the primary focus seemed to be their story.

If you like sexy and erotic romances with super hot dirty talk, don't pass this book up. I for one can't wait to see what Kitty French has up her sleeve next.

I'm going to be brutally honest here… I feel that Book Three is kind of superfluous… This is my personal opinion, you're welcome to disagree, and I'm not going to try to dissuade you from reading the book… I'll be as brief as possible.

So what do we have with Book Three in the Knight Trilogy?
A new club, new setting, new couple, new love, new family...

Ibiza

The Love Tug

Dylan & Kara

Lucien & Sophie

What did I like about this book?

1. Kitty French's ability to make me care about a character.
I LOVED Dylan Day & his mysterious backstory…

2. The sassy mouth of Kara.
She was silly and spunky, had a lot of quotable moments throughout the book.

3. The setting - The island of Ibiza.
Ibiza was as much a character in this story as Kara, Dylan, Sophie, & Lucien

4. Sweet stolen moments with Lucien & Sophie
I still adore Lucien, and it's a joy to see his love for Sophie and their growing family blossom. I was particularly tickled about

5. This book features one of the most moving, heart-wrencing

What kept me from enjoying this book?

It had its moments, really and truly…
1. But it wasn't as awesome as Knight & Stay, which ended

2. The spacing was just awful to the the point of distraction. Kitty French gives us the benefit of all four main characters POVs with out any marker for change between characters. With the poor spacing and lack of delineation between POVs I found myself in the wrong character's head on multiple occasions.

3. Maybe the book would have been better if

This book isn't a complete loss…
It just wasn't what I wanted / was expecting for the end of a Trilogy.

This is the third book in the Knight series. It's about Sophie's friend Kara and Lucien's new club manager Dylan. First we meet gorgeous Dylan, he is running away from his past and wants to start fresh with a new identity, new town, new life. He starts working for hottie Lucien, and then meets beautiful Kara. Kara is a sassy thing...and Dylan can't help but fall for her. The chemistry between these two is sizzling. I really really enjoyed reading this one and seeing more of Lucien and Sophie.
If you haven't read this series yet...I highly recommend it...you won't be disappointed. ♥

I am sad that this series has now ended. I loved every minute of the ride though, and this last book held me captivated through out the whole story! Kitty French did it again, and wrote a highly erotic book that had not only sizzling hot sex; but some gripping emotional scenes as well. Knight and Day is focused on a new couple, Dylan Day and Kara..who is Sophie's friend that we met at the beginning of book #1. I felt lucky though, as this story includes a bonus where I got to witness Sophie and Lucien again! I adored them as a couple in the first two books, so to be able to see them in this installment was a wonderful treat! There were a few sex scenes with them, but also a very tender event took place and I was emotional through the whole occasion. It was also neat to get a glimpse of their child, and what life was like for both Sophie and Lucien as parents!

Dylan Day is a man who has secrets. He has ran from his old life to an Island called Ibiza and this is where he meets Lucian Knight. Dylan is given a job managing the new club that Lucien is opening up on the tropical Island. This is how he becomes introduced to Kara. She is running the sensual boutique that's attached to the club, along side her friend Sophie. Dylan and Kara develop an explosive relationship, and they are both falling hard for one another. The trouble is that Kara makes it very well known that she has been hurt in the past and she does not condone lying. She has been lied to way too much in her life time and she won't tolerate it anymore. Unfortunately, Dylan is not able to tell her that he has many secrets..in fact; Kara doesn't even know his real name..
With all of this happening, it is a bomb waiting to go off. Believe me, when the time comes that the truth is revealed..it is a doozy and I have to say that it was a clusterf*ck of EPIC proportions. I was literally shaking while I was reading all that was revealed!!

This is a series that should not be passed. I highly recommend it, and Kitty French is an author that can make anything she writes turn to gold! She has a fan for life in me and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us come 2014!!

4 sexy, sun kissed, strip me bear cause Dylan Day is HOT, HOT, HOT stars!!!!

So, before you start getting all hot and bothered with thoughts of the luscious Lucien Knight, I must start by explaining that this book is all about Dylan day and Kara........

Ok so I know what you're thinking.....I was the same; who the hell are they?????.........and only a few pages in I realised that this book, although briefly featuring the gorgeous and enigmatic Lucien Knight, isn't actually about him at all.....

But actually it's ok, in fact it's more than ok......it's bloody brilliant, because instead we get Dylan Day and let me just say without ruining the story for anyone else, but when he meets up with Sophie's best friend Kara.....well sparks fly and what you get is nothing shy of eyegasmic!!!!!

Seriously this author can write a hot erotic scene, we witnessed it in the first two books in this series but I have to say she surpassed herself this time......seriously

image

And I have to admit there were a few chapters where I was like.....

It's set on the gorgeous island of Ibiza so it's full of sand, sea and....... Erotic sex clubs.........

And if you're thinking this is just a book full of shagging, hot sex on beaches, a few naked and permanently erect blokes, scantily clad bronzed woman and a few whips and vibrators thrown in for good measure.....then.......

But It's so much more than that. It's a delightful mix of erotic romance with emotional depth, it has a storyline that kept me turning the pages and characters that grabbed my attention so much that in the end I have to admit I was all like; "Move over Lucien because Dylan I'm coming!!!!"

Book - Knight & Day (Knight #3)
Author - Kitty French
Publication Date - December 2, 2013
Type - Series (Must Read in Order)
Genre - Romance, Erotica
Rating - 4 out of 5 Stars

Book provided by Author in exchange for an honest review

Reading Order
Knight & Play (Knight #1) - Lucien and Sophie's Story
Knight & Stay (Knight #2) - Lucien and Sophie's Story
Knight & Day (Knight #3) - Dylan and Kara's Story

Review
It's beautiful to have Lucien and Sophie back together again and also awarded with a back story of Dylan and Kara.

I have always loved Lucien and his ALPHA caveman ways with Sophie but it was a pleasant surprise to see that "hulking" man have more tender moments.

Then we meet Dylan (Matthew) in this story who is on the run from something - he instantly gets the "Ding-Dong Dance" syndrome over Kara. We have commitment issues, sex, angst, lies, sex, love, sex, heart-break and did I mention HOT STEAMY SEX?

This was a fast read that grabs your attention and keeps it flowing with all the action that is happening. The only problem I had with the book is how the POV would change without any warning - at times I found it hard to distinguish what was happening to who

We all remember Kara from the prior books as Sophie's friend who is still healing from being left at the alter. She travels to Ibiza with Sophie to open a store in one of Lucien's new sex clubs. She just wants a summer to work, relax and heal without the drama and lies of any men in her life.

Dylan Day (Matthew) is on the run from something but we are left in the dark through most of the book. Something happened to him back home in the States which made him pack a bag and start a new life in Ibiza. He tries to remain hidden from women and runs into Lucien who gives him a job of managing the new club.

Kara is first very skeptical of Dylan and feels that he is one big lie and she doesn't fall into his trap of being suave. But things change and the sexual tension between the two just keep getting hotter and hotter. The romance between them is beautiful and the sex is even more. Dylan is falling in love but knows that he will lose Kara when she finds out he has been lying to everyone.

But like any romance novel, there always comes a time when the shit hits the fan and hearts will break. Are the lies bad enough that Kara will never forgive Dylan? What are the secrets he is keeping?

The biggest question, though, is will there be a "Happily Ever After"?

Wrap Up
Well, the story between Sophie and Lucien finally comes to an end and they experience a love like no other. While Dylan and Kara find a love built on lies but these lies are only on the surface.....what is inside never was a lie.

But is this enough?

Well....after finishing this book I find myself in a bit of a pickle. A predicament. A conundrum, if you will. How do I rate this?

Alright, bear with me as I think out loud.

First and foremost, I LOVED every morsel of Lucien (and Sophie) that we got in this book. And I must admit, they were my primary pull in reading this in the first place. Honestly, I didn't even remember who Kara was from the previous books.

To my sexy Viking, Lucien Knight....I LOVE YOU! It really is as simple as that! Every word out of his mouth and everything he does....PERFECTION! So basically:

Lucien's love for "his Sophie" is soul deep. And it was such a treat to see them again, and revisit their love that is now years past the epilogue in Knight & Stay and so much deeper than my imagination could have even wished for them. And still hot as ever!!

But alas, there is another story in this book. Was I 100% invested in Dylan and Kara? The answer to that would be.... No. Wait, let me rephrase that, I wasn't invested in Kara.

Dylan intrigued me from the first page. I wanted to know his history? Where did he come from? What was he hiding? Who was he? I loved his sense of humor, his witty banter, his relationship with Lucien, and his dirty mouth.....all this coming from a man living on the regurgitated remains of a 70's disco boat named The Love Tug! Come on, only the manliest of men could pull that off! All in all the man was sexy as hell.

When the boat is a rockin', don't come a knockin'

Now to Kara. Did I like her? Yes. Did I like her sass? Yes. Did I connect with her? No. I just can't quite put my finger on it. She fell flat for me. There wasn't any depth to her. Since I couldn't remember her from the previous books, I didn't know how to process what happened between her and Richard. We were told what happened and how she felt, but it wasn't explained in a way that would make me sympathize. It was just kind of like....blah blah blah...Ta Da, the end. And don't even get me started about women who get mad when shit hits the fan, run away instead of sticking around to hear an explanation and then the next day are all about "I just want to know why!" SERIOUSLY??

So it turns out that Kara is my fly in the honey, so to speak.

And the ending....well it felt a little rushed for me. I just needed ONE paragraph, and that ending would have been perfect.

So now a rating....shit, I still don't know.

Lucien and Sophie - 5 stars (to be perfectly honest, I would have been happy if this was a novella solely focusing on them)
Dylan Day - 4 stars
Kara - 3 to 3.5 stars

If I was being completely unbiased, I'd say 3.5 stars, but I'll round up to 4 stars because I adore Kitty French and the fact that her lovely, genius brain created Lucien Knight....so for bringing him into my heart and dirty, dirty mind....

5 "What you see is what you get" Stars

This is the last book in the Knight series. I must confess that I'm sad that it's the last book in the series but it did leave me in a wonderful and content state. The fabulous Kitty French gave me a new couple in Dylan and Kara but she also included Lucien and Sophie and boy did she deliver fantabulousness. This book has angst, sexual tension, super-sexy-hot scenes (faning myself), romance, drama, lust, beauty and LOVE.

 photo KnightampStay_zps53baa035.jpg

Dylan is a man of secrets and a past that he wishes he could forget. Kara is a spirited, sassy, what you see is what you get kinda of girl that has had her heart broken when she was left at the alter. Two broken souls not looking for love.

Kara is Sophie's best friend and partner. She comes to Ibiza to help Lucien and Sophie get Gateway Ibiza up and running. Dylan comes to Ibiza and Lucien has a connection with Dylan and offers him a job as manager of the club.

Kara and Dylan meet and well let's say that they have sexual chemistry that is sassy and swoonilicious....
Kara aka English-"It's my downfall. I like sugar. I like fast cars. I like sexy men."
Dylan aka Sailor-"I like bourbon," he said. "And Mustangs. And sexy girls in cowboy boots."

Dylan and Kara fall for each other but Kara's deal breaker is lies and she tells Dylan as much. Though Dylan has a past, can he trust Kara with the details so that she doesn't leave? He know he needs to tell Kara but will it come too late and at what cost?

There was an extra slice of dessert in this book.... The super sexy Viking God, Lucien and his Princess, Sophie. Lucien and his love for Sophie made me swoon, blush, cry, smile and wish that my name was Sophie. They have since had a child and we get to experience Lucien as a father as well. I really can't talk about them too much for fear of spoiling what goes on with them but

So Kitty French....

Knight & Day

3.75 Sinfully Rich, Tempting, Oh So Want To Be Good For You Stars

I have a habit of indulging. I like to spoil my friends and family with little things unexpectedly; I let myself be greedy about all the books I can get and then there is the indulging I have to fight when it comes to my diet. Because like many out there, I must work to stay at a healthy weight and it is not always easy.

It is easy to have that one slice of deliciously beautiful rich chocolate layer cake or whatever strikes your fancy....
It is easy to taste it....
Savor it.....let the flavors melt on the tongue and trickle down your throat.
To feel that euphoria, the unbelievable pleasure, it just makes you wish for more……

That is how strong I feel about Lucien Knight….
Lucien Knight is an indulgent … a desire which could never be fulfilled.
He is that good.
He was my first book man that I would want in real life. He had principles, morals; a code by which he lived. Plus he was just a fucking Viking God….
That he rescued Sophie from herself and showed her who she really was and capable of being only enhanced his draw for me. The creation of him and his journey with Sophie was like that perfect dessert; smooth, creamy and oh so mouth watering good.

It was so good, I like many wanted more… and so we were given the extra slice, the second helping, that extra that can sometimes be perfect or sometimes can be just too much for us to handle.

I felt Knight& Day was a combination of both; perfect and a little bit of an indulgence.

It was perfect in the way I love how Kitty French writes.
She has a way of drawing you in; allowing you to feel all of the rush and excitement in the moment; yet then those same feelings linger long after you have read the page. Her descriptions of the emotions surrounding the sex makes any of the acts so much more then the coupling of two people. She makes it all beautiful even when it is frantic, hard or feral.
Her talents were displayed proudly throughout the book and had her special feel.

The additional characters and plot points were where I felt that feeling of having one slice too many ….on the border of indulging too much…

Kara and Dylan are the main love story in this book. Kara is Sophie’s best friend. She has been through everything with Sophie; her marriage and divorce… and meeting Lucien and helping her though their challenges and now their success. She has partnered with Sophie in the boutiques in the clubs and it has been very successful. Her big hurdle was loving a man who constantly lied to her… to the point of leaving her at the altar.
She is recovering from this betrayal, one which rings so true as her father was the same way. The little voice in her head asks why do men lie to her; is she not worthy; is it so apparent to the male of the species she is the one to never receive the love she so wants?

She comes to Ibiza with Sophie to meet up with Lucien who is opening his 10th club. It has been under construction and is almost ready to open. Kara is looking to clear her head, work and not get into anything that could be complicated.

Our other part of this plot is Dylan… or at least that is what he is calling himself at the moment. Dylan is from California and we are shown by his actions and thoughts, he is running away from something. We don’t know what or how deep it may be… we just know in the moment he is asked his name for use of a rental… he comes up with Dylan because Bob Dylan was playing on the jukebox.

Dylan is another delicious creation from Kitty. He is lean lanky golden with the air of a younger guy… he can just stand there doing nothing and looks all yummy. He was swagger and charm; the type that works on women, men and children…

But he has sadness and his eyes hide it. When coming into the club looking for the former owner, finding Lucien instead, he reacts with grace but shows a need Lucien can relate to. Lucien sees a bit of how he use to be and takes a chance on Dylan. He gives him a trial run at the club and hopes his instincts are right.

That is the set up: Dylan with guilt and things he is running from; Kara with a need to somehow recover from her humiliation and repair herself worth. These two, of course, connect and the chemistry between them is off the charts.

This is where I would like to say…. Ms. French… you did not let me down in any way with your sex, loving times between Lucien and Sophie or with Dylan and Kara. You did EVERYTHING I love…

You gave us a woman in Kara which was not afraid of speaking her mind… she said what she felt and as the time went on with Dylan, you could hear through her words how she was feeling more healed and sure of herself. She had a quick wit and it was counterbalanced right back by Dylan.

You gave me hot, males whispering in the ears telling every filthy terrific things that they wanted to do with their women. Your descriptions were real laced with the emotions we all could understand and want. Lucien and Dylan felt authentic as men and Sophie and Kara were women to appreciate.

So with all of these tasty morsels given to me, why would I feel like maybe I shouldn’t have had that 3rd piece of pie or cake….of wondering if I had indulged too much with the storyline of Dylan and Kara?

The way Dylan’s situation unfolded and how there were specific times it could have been handled differently wore on me. I could see where this was going, what was going to take place and it sadden me. I felt Dylan needed to be more of a stand up guy. He had all of the elements for that; when it didn’t happen when I felt it should, I was disappointed. His turmoil and issues were also things he had already handled, responsibly, so his continued angst about them made it difficult to accept the deception.

Another thing which hampered this book was the formatting; it was off. We were blessed with multiple points of views but there was no distinction between the telling. This caused an interruption of flow for me. I was able to figure things out but it was something I was aware of constantly.

I was left with those mixed feelings I get when I really shouldn’t have had that extra slice. I remember I sometimes feel too full and uncomfortable because I just had too much……

But then I remember how tasty and good it was going down, how much I love the experience…
And the ending was everything and more…well, duh, it is Kitty French, you guys…

So I know I will indulge again… as Ms. French is a guilty pleasure worth having… over and over again.

Oh Kitty French, you certainly know how to write an AMAZING leading man! And this time around we get not just one, but two hotties to lust after! The luscious Lucien Knight is back in all of his sexy, smutty glory, and so we get the beautiful ending to his and Sophie’s story, and we also get a second love story for Sophie’s best friend, Kara and the also luscious newcomer, Dylan Day.

Lucien, Sophie and Kara all find themselves in Ibiza, there to open up Lucien’s latest club, and the girls’ sexy boutique. Lucien and Sophie are still beautifully loved up, but Kara is recovering from having her heart horribly broken, and has temporarily sworn off men *snort*.

Coming to ruin her plans is the mysterious Dylan. Running away from the dramas of his life back in the US, he has reinvented himself on arrival in Spain, and when he unexpectedly runs into Lucien at his unfinished club, Lucien offers him the job of Manager. Eager to make a new life for himself, Dylan jumps at the opportunity, setting up an inevitable run in with gorgeous and feisty Kara.

When Kara and Dylan first lay eyes on each other, sparks fly and the chemistry between them is sizzling! Kara is very much a ‘what you see is what you get’ kind of girl, and I love that. She is intelligent, she speaks her mind, she doesn’t play games, and even though she was meant to be staying away from men, she can’t resist the draw of the sexy American, and the two of them very quickly dive into a hot and oh-so-steamy affair.

And holy freaking hotness, the sexy time is sizzling! For both couples! I highly recommend you have a fan or some kind of squirty bottle to cool yourself down with while reading this! We all know that Lucien is passionate and adventurous in the bedroom (and out of it of course *wink*), but Dylan has also got some sensational moves, and a dirty, dirty mouth, and Kitty doesn’t hold back when it comes to any of her (numerous) love scenes.

“You like dirty talk, English?” The involuntary yelp that left her body was confirmation enough for both of them. “You want me to tell you how good it feels to spread your legs wide open and fuck you.”

Phew! But even though this series is classed as erotica, there is a big focus on the emotion. While lust is definitely the overriding emotion to begin with, it doesn’t take long before Dylan and Kara start to fall for each other, and it’s natural, realistic, beautifully paced and full of feeling.

“I could love you, Dylan Day.”
He kissed her again, open-mouthed, his hands in her hair. “I could love you too.”

But Kara has been broken by men lying to her in her past and she has a low tolerance for dishonesty, and Dylan has a past shrouded in secrecy. When those secrets come crashing down around him, will Kara be able to deal with the big revelations?

“I’d rather have ugly truths than pretty lies.”

And those revelations are pretty massive! I thought I knew what was going on in his past, but when it all came out, O.M.G! I loved the big reveal, and the twists that were involved. Definitely not what I was expecting, and I LOVE the direction that the story took.

It’s all beautifully woven into Sophie and Lucien’s story, and we get lots of time with the two of them as their passionate relationship continues (drama free! WIN!). Again, there is lots of steamy time, but their mad, soul-deep love for each other is beautifully evident and the progression of things between them had me swooning madly, and even tearing up a little bit.

“Lying with you beneath the northern lights, or here beneath the Spanish sun… you’re my Viking and my sunshine.” The tears ran unchecked down her cheeks now. “You’re my hero, Lucien Knight.”

“You’re
my fucking hero, Sophie.”

Oh swoon! There is sooooo much swoon in this book! So many beautiful moments.

“I love you, and I want you, and I need you so much it hurts to wake up in the morning without you.”

In addition to the romance, the two couples have a great relationship with each other. Of course Sophie and Kara are already BFFs, but Lucien is gorgeously protective over Kara, who he considers his sister, and the developing relationship between the two guys as they grow close and develop a strong friendship is sensational.

“I know this kind of talk makes you freak out, but I'm gonna say it anyway,” Dylan said, laughing softly. “I fuckin’ love you, man.”
“Jesus Christ,” Lucien muttered…
These days, their bond ran so much deeper; as close as brothers, the best of friends.
He met Dylan’s eye in a moment of silent acknowledgement, then shuddered despite the warmth of the evening. “And now I feel like we just had sex.”

I love this book! The combination of sex, love, fun and drama is a perfect mix, and it all flows beautifully from start to finish, ending with a fabulous epilogue that left me smiling and swooning like an idiot. I’m sad that this series is over, but it’s definitely one that I am going to reread over and over again.

“Say you’ll never go,” he said, even though he’d promised himself he wouldn’t ask it of her.
“Tell me you want me to stay forever,” she murmured, knowing he was the love of her lifetime.
“Always, English,” he said. “Always.”

*dreamy sigh*

4.5 romantically sexy stars.

When Dylan Day arrives in Ibiza he has one goal in mind, forget who he used to be and start over. The plan seemed simple enough, he’s got a bed and soon after meeting Lucien Knight, he’s got himself a job. But it’s not until he meets the feisty Kara that Dylan finds the one thing he didn't know he was missing.

Kara’s had her share of bad luck when it comes to men, after stood up on her wedding day, Kara’s deal breaker is lying. She’s experienced enough of that from the men in her past.

The attraction is immediate but with hesitation. Kara’s mouth seems to have a mind of its own when it comes to Dylan. But as these two grow closer, his past that he is desperate to escape is closing in quickly.

With the tenth club getting ready to open, the whole gang is back. Sophie & Lucien’s story didn't end with the end of Knight & Stay. We get to see their happily ever after unfold in a way we never imagined. And with Kara & Dylan we get a whole new love story that completely sweeps you off your feet.

Okay, so I was not sure if this series needed another story or if I really needed Sophie & Lucien’s story to go further than it did with the epilogue in Knight & Stay. After reading this, I needed this. I may not have known it, but hot-damn I needed it. Kitty French did a brilliant job expanding on this already perfect love story. The moments between these two were explosive and melt your heart sweet. I didn't think Lucien could get any better, but he did.

Kara and Dylan’s story blended so well into this series. There were times when these two would interact and we would be in the midst of a sparks-flying moment, and then some romantic thought would drift through their head. It would remind you that although Kitty can write panty-soaking sex scenes, her ability to slip in a sugary sweet line or two in the midst of an explosive scene is downright perfection.

I loved everything about this story, a romance at its best.

Firstly my gripe about this book, I hate that it finished on 88%! it lulls you into a false sense that you have another half an hour of pure bliss, and then its snatched away from you!
Anyway, that is the only gripe I had about this book. Lucien and Sophie have always been my favorite book couple because Kitty makes them just so perfect for each other, the things they say to each and the way the are when they are together and apart melts my heart!
In this the third book we are introduced to the new character of Dylan Day, who swiftly becomes the new manager for Lucien's new adult club on the island of Ibiza, after seemingly running away from his life in America. Sophie, Tilly and Kara, her best friend and business partner come out to spend the summer with Lucien, and lets just say Dylan and Kara decide that hooking up is a bad idea even though there is mutual attraction, and then promptly hook up!
I have to say in my opinion what makes this couple is the wit and banter that they shoot of at each other and its brilliant.
Kara's best line of the book for me, was when Kara said to Sophie

"When, where, how, I need details, unless you were actually shagging and he yelled it when he blew his load, in which case feel free to lie."

Now that's a classy line, and it sums Kara up perfectly.
Dylan of course gives as good as he gets with Kara, but he has secrets and the one thing Kara has asked of him is never to lie! and like all good stories those lies are going to come catching up with our Dylan.

Kitty certainly knows how to write a fabulous steamy sex scene, and as always in her writing is has extremely erotic moments, and I adore them all!
I think the thing that grips me with these books is the fact that they are an easy read, sure I love angst and turmoil in a book, but Kitty just writes a seamless, beautifully erotic love story. She makes the characters come to life with her descriptive prose.

Lucien and Sophie are the secondary characters in this book, but I'm so glad we had a chance to catch up with them one more time, and I love them a little bit more because they had the ending I really wanted for them.
There are so many favorite lines for me in this book but the best two, said on a beach in Ibiza, celebrating a special little something between Sophie and Lucien.....gush gush

"you're my hero, Lucien Knight."

"You're my fucking hero, Sophie Knight."
Oh I'm gonna miss these guys!

ARC received from author for honest review

This is when it gets tough. I really wanted to like this, I enjoyed the first two books but something went wrong with this book.

First of all Kara and Dylan, the first time I actually felt any kind of connection between these two was after I passed 90%.

Second, Lucien and Sophie. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED? This didn't feel like the same Lucien from the first two books.

And the hotness factor?!?!

I felt like I got ripped off with both couples. As I look back over my notes during the sex scenes this is what I have:

REALLY???

it just cuts short yet again

that's it???

details please

really that's all we get??

I didn't think we got nearly enough of Lucien and Sophie but I guess it doesn't matter because the Lucien I liked from the first two books disappeared. I realize he's a family man now but talked about how he didn't want things to change in his relationship with Sophie.....guess what buddy they did! You weren't the caveman anymore. So sad!!

And the change of POVS without any type of page break, no warning left the story confusing at times.

Sorry Kitty, I respect you and enjoyed the first two books of the series but this one fell flat for me.

It was... okay?

description

Honestly, I'm wondering, because when you have to force yourself to finish a book, you just know something is not going well.

Where do I even begin with this one? I'm not sure why there was even the need for a third book. If you ask me, there wasn't. Book two wrapped things up perfectly. I really liked that book, and then this one came along.

At first, I was wondering why a third book when Sophie and Lucien's story was done, but then I realized that it wasn't about then, but Dylan and Kara.

description

Yeah, okay, so let's meet these people and learn their story. But mostly I wanted to read it because I hate leaving series unfinished.

So I started reading... And...

description

Is this book about Sophie and Lucien? I felt like it was: a book to tell us how immensely happy those two are, how they love each other, how Lucien is a great father and friend, how Sophie is great... basically an homage to their relationship, with Kara and Dylan as supporting characters just to show how great they really are.

That I didn't care for.

As much as I like Sophie and Lucien, their story is done. I don't want to read about how nauseatingly happy they are. I get easily bored with that kind of stories. There's a reason why fairy tales end with the words: and they lived happily ever after, without describing exactly how happily they lived. Now I sound like a terrible person, but it is what it is.

For a book that's supposed to be about Kara and Dylan, there is very little Kara and Dylan. So little that I didn't feel their romance at all. I was so confused, and it was all so rushed. It all just got lost in the shadow of Sophie and Lucien. I mean, if it's about K&D, why even put S&L's POVs? It wasn't necessary for the plot, it simply distracted me. And the shifts in POVs... huh... had my head spinning. Half the time I had no idea who was thinking what. I know I always wish for books written in third person and multiple POVs, so, you know, be careful what you wish for.

I guess what I'm saying is...

I read the Knight & ... Series without thinking too much of the characters. I was in the phase where an Alpha male would do it. And even though I liked Lucien and almost liked Sophie, i have to say this book was a great surprise.
Dylan and Kara were a hot surprise.
Kara is a great character, i loved her.

So, the story picks up a few years after the last book of Knight & Stay and it has the two main characters: Dylan Day and Kara Brookes. This is their story, but we get to see Lucien and Sophie in there too.
At first i thought this would be weird and crowded :), to have two couples sharing one book, but it wasn't. Lucien and Sophie are here as supporting characters and i loved how this turned out.

Right, as i was saying, Dylan Day arrives at Ibiza and lands a job as club manager for Lucien's club. He is on the run and has his demons, but he manages to make a normal living here.
Kara Brookes is Sophie's best friend (if my memory serves me right she was the one that insisted Sophie put a kiss on the resume she sent to Lucien).
Kara had a hard life, a hard love life, and she decides to give up on men. But then she meets Dylan and, well, she changes her mind.

The writing, as usual, excellent.
The sex scenes, hot, hot, hot
The characters, very likeable
The plot, it was there

Dylan's place....oh...:) had me laughing out loud.

So, for me it was a 4.5 stars.

Ms French is a mastermind. With passages like this - who needs more?

"Its my downfall. I like sugar. I like fast cars. I like sexy men." She licked sugar residue from her fingers...
"I let myself have the sugar. And the cars."
"Two out of three ain't bad."
"Hey, it worked for Meadloaf."
"Do you always let hair rockers from the eighties dictate who you screw?"
"Everyone needs a yardstick. Meatloaf just happens to be mine."

I love the upfront women who can see what she likes and be honest: "I think it's probably time I took your shirt off." hello sexy!

So just because "There aren't enough Viking sex gods out there to go around for the rest of us." French wrote them in a story for all of us us to enjoy!

We normally text each other throughout our reads, then discuss the book on the phone before writing our reviews. For this one we thought we’d include our text messages. :)

J: Sooo looking forward to starting this one G. At least we know we’ll get lots of hot, passionate scenes in a Kitty French book!

G: YAY!!! I’m so bloody excited…I miss Lucien and I love Kitty!!

J: Me too – my say I’m intrigued with Dylan Day already. What exactly is this guy running from G? I’m dying to find out.

G: Do you keep picturing Sawyer from LOST? I do and yeah he’s an enigma for sure!

J: YES!! He is a perfect Dylan!! Well done woman! Oh bloody hell, welcome back Lucien we’ve missed you, you big wonderful Nordic god! Love him G!

“I can fuck you here against the front door, or I can fuck you in our bed. I don’t mind, as long as I fuck you in the next three minutes.” – Lucien

G: LUCIEN!!!! Wow this guy does NOT mess around. I LOVE him!!! I’ve really missed my Viking God!!

J: Haha! No Lucien gets straight to the point. Wowsers! After 5 years together they certainly know how to keep things spiced up. HOT! These two absolutely sizzle together don’t they? Lucien being a father takes my love for him to a whole new level.

G: Awww Lucien has such a vulnerable loving side to him, I think he’s pretty perfect. I didn’t realise we’d get to see all these moments with Lucien and Sophie! I love that Jenny!! Seeing him as a Dad after the last book’s revelations MELTS me!!! Oh and the hotness factor….turn me over I’m DONE!!!

J: Me too! I had no idea we would get this much L & S and I bloody LOVE that! Oh I’m so done I’m charred baby! Well…helllooo Dylan Day. Kara’s made of stern stuff G….I would have taken him up on the unbuttoning the shirt offer…….Noooooooooo don’t let him leave!!!! Gulp!

“I’ll see myself out. And for the record…I’ve never felt less like leaving anywhere in my life.” – Dylan

G: Dylan Day…*fanning myself* I think I’m in love Jenny!! I have to say I want Kara to be my friend I love her. She’s so cool, I love people that say what they mean sod the consequences!

“It’s my downfall. I like sugar. I like fast cars. I like sexy men.”

J: I think I’m absolutely in love G…especially after you putting that Sawyer pic in my head!! Yes! I love that she’s so straightforward! Tell you what, I’m absolutely loving the friendship banter between Kara and Sophie. These two have changed so much but still retain the giggly girls we know and love them to be. And Lucien is so focused on Sophie….love him! That is one hot man!! Hmmm can Dylan topple Lucien in our affections do you think?

G: I love these girls, I love their relationship and the fact that Lucien sees Kara as his sister. Seriously, how much of a turn on is his protectiveness and his intensity? I don’t know if Dylan can ever overtake how I feel about Lucien though, after all I’m Danish and us Scandi’s have to stick together, oh and ASkars is my Viking God Lucien so….yeah who knows LOL….I’m not opposed to a Lucien/Dylan sarnie right now though J

J: Oh yeah there is that Scandi connection but Dylan is yummy! I loved bond Lucien and Kara have formed too and that protective streak?? Yep! Loving it.
Gulp….It’s freezer time. Dear lord…Lucien…office…and handcuffs oh my! Lucky Sophie!

G: *Speechless* I dunno what to say other than can I have some….please???!!!

J: Well that just answered our question on Dylan, G. Things are really hotting up now! This guy sure has the moves.

“You thought I was a sure thing, Sailor?” Kara
“Assumed nothing. Hoped some.” – Dylan

One way ticket on the Love Tug please!

G: I need to go to Ibiza and have a tug at the Love Tug!!!!!

J: Hehe. Was waiting for the tug comment lol. Ice buckets are overflowing. Bloody hell Lucien and Sophie are such sensual creatures and I wish it was my birthday *wink wink*

G: They’ve got something real special…seriously, haven’t they come a long way since Sophie kissed that envelope in book one!!

J: OMG! That’s what I love G. You can really feel the progression of the characters in this book and just how far they’ve come – Kitty has done a great job developing these two characters.
Oh dear god I think romantic Lucien may have just completely melted my heart! G is your heart melting

‘He was the owner of her heart, the father of her child. They shared everything. Except for one final thing.’ – Sophie

G: Yeah, wow….only Lucien can get away with making ‘that thing’ romantic whilst he has a pair of hips rocking against his face and his tongue busy licking and ummm swirling was it? I forget…hang on let me re-read just to make sure I got that right….did he really ask that whilst down there?

J: Hang on…I’m just re-reading too just to check your facts…..ummmm GULP and double GULP….yep, only Lucien can make THAT moment romantic hahaha. Loved that scene! I’m suddenly feeling in the mood for a ticket to Ibiza…I’ll order us a cocktail. Are you coming G? Hmmm let me rephrase that!!

G: I’m coming….I’ve ALWAYS wanted to go to Ibiza as well!!

J: Wow, how much am I loving the switching between the couples – it’s like getting the best of both worlds don’t you think?

G: It really is…I feel spoilt. Kitty’s done a FAB job here!!!

J: The bond being established between Lucien and Dylan really shows a different side of Lucien and the growth of him as a person. What a great addition that aspect is to this story. Loving the bromance between these two. They crack me up! This quote floored me!!!

“Thank you”….”Your faith in me means a lot” – Dylan
“Just don’t expect me to hug”….”I like you, but this isn’t Brokeback Mountain.” –
Lucien

G: LOVE the bromance!!! I can’t stop laughing at the Brokeback comment. The relationships in this instalment is great, the dynamics spot on and the development of the characters is brilliant. I really feel as if they’ve grown and settled. It’s so believable!

J: It really is! Kara and Dylan together really works but geez I’ve got a horrible feeling in my stomach things are going to go tits up for these two any minute.

G: I just want them together. They have a real connection and I really think they NEED their HEA! I’m scared though….Gawd I hope he doesn’t fuck it up. Kara put herself out there for him. I have to say though I want to give him a hug…then I want to see stars and take a trip on the Milky Way!!!!

J: Hehe oh hell yeah…Milky Way it is. I’m scared he’s going to fuck up too. Arrgghhh….Dylan is one mysterious man – I really do love him – he’s so hot but his secrets are slowly unravelling and I’m kind of nervous.

“Sometimes good people do bad things for good reasons.” – Lucien

G: Isn’t he just! I have to say I wasn’t expecting this!! Lucien’s understanding and faith is making me fall even more in love with him and Dylan is just gorgeous, his heart is GOLD!!!

“You like things that are bad for you, English.”

Uh huh…..can I be the Danish pastry that gets devoured on the Love Tug? Pretty please with extra sugar on top!

J: Geez G…steady on – a trip to the Milky way, devoured on the Love Tug AND a Dylan & Lucien butty….you don’t want much do you? LOL
Oh god is there anything more heart melting than reading about Lucien with Tilly? Big dreamy sigh…He’s just divine. I love him.

“There isn’t a single part of my life that isn’t a hundred times better for having you in it.” – Lucien

G: *CRYING* whilst melting into a puddle on the floor!!!!

J: Same! The amount of time we’ve spent with Sophie and Lucien was the nicest surprise ever in this and I have to say I’m so pleasantly surprised by that. There is a really good balance of story in this one between all the relationships and bonds forming. It’s taken them, as people, to a whole new level for me. What about you?

G: I know, I’m so surprised. I guess I didn’t really know what to expect so this is like an effing treat and it’s written so convincingly with it being a few years down the line and the way it’s woven into Dylan and Kara’s story is just spot on. I’m inhaling this story!!!

J: There are no words for Lucien G. DIVINE!!

G: VIKING GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ‘Nuff said!!!

J: Yep! That about covers him! Bloody hell Dylan! Did. Not. See. That. Coming.

“I never wanted to break your heart, English.” – Dylan

G: Bloody hell is right Jenny…..what happened here?? Nope….I didn’t see that coming either. Who fancies a twister? Family and bitches suck big fat hairy balls!!!

J: Yep they do! That knocked me for six. Right I’ve finished. We need to debrief tomorrow. Kitty French has done it again!! Bloody loved this one G. Addicted from start to finish. Hot, funny, romantic and a great escape! I’ll miss these guys! What about you?

G: Kitty French sure has done it again. No question! What a brilliant epilogue too!! I love her and I will always one-click her books. She gives us great characters, fab stories and such passion and romance. I’ll always miss Lucien and now I can add Dylan to that mix too!!!

The final installment in the Knight series.

Dylan Day escapes to Ibiza with a new name and a new life ahead of him hopefully. His life back in the States is history. When he finds an eclectic boat to rent, he just needs a job. Lucien Knight trusts his instincts in hiring this guy with a false name, no references, no history...period. But he clearly has what it takes to run his new club on the island. He hopes his instincts don't fail him now.

Kara, best friend to Sophie, is in Ibiza to help open their "toy shop" in Lucien's club. She was left at the altar by Richard and is banning men altogether. But this new club manager tests her inner strength. Their chemistry is palpable. No sex with this man! It's her inner dialogue on constant repeat.

Knight and Day was a combination of Dylan and Kara's story but also Lucien and Sophie. It was awesome to see the latter a few years down the road from the ending of Knight and Stay. They have a small child, he's opening his clubs, their love in full force. But Sophie wants to be married. Lucien harbors huge issues with marriage and fidelity from the events of his childhood. Sophie is the love of his life. Why complicate it with marriage? She has his heart...isn't that enough?

Dylan and Kara are a great combination. She's tough and feisty and he's strong enough to handle her. But will his secrets from the States come back to haunt him? He needs to be open with her but the timing is never right.

Ms. French wraps up the series in a nice little package for us- Lucien and Sophie, Dylan and Kara. An enjoyable, sultry erotic romance series I'd recommend to anyone!

Ok for me, the Lucian and Sophie story was perfect at two books. Whilst I still love peeking into their lives through this one, I wouldn't call this book 3 of a trilogy. That tends to suggest unfinished business in the first two and a focal point on the main couple. And thats not what this book is.

This book centres around Lucian opening a new club on Ibiza and the hire of a manager by the name of Dylan Day. Dylan Day is on the run. From who or what, you don't find out until later on in the story, but you do know from the off that he isn't who he says he is.

Enter Kara, Sophie's best friend, recovering from being ditched at the altar and on the island to help get the new Boutique part of the club open (that she runs with Sophie).

Sparks fly when she and Dylan meet but you can see it's all going to end in a shitstorm as the web of lies comes tumbling down.

I really enjoyed this book and The Love Tug now has a special place in my heart. It's just not as big a spot as that reserved solely for Lucian Knight.................

so this book isn't a true book 3 ... maybe 2.5 since it's almost a spin off . but I loved the resolutions given. I love the refreshing new plot this one had. it ended the series out perfectly for me

J&G : 4.5 Stars

G:
LUCIEN!!!!

G:
Dylan Day…*fanning myself* I think I’m in love Jenny!! I have to say I want Kara to be my friend I love her. She’s so cool, I love people that say what they mean sod the consequences!

“It’s my downfall. I like sugar. I like fast cars. I like sexy men.”

J:
I think I’m absolutely in love G…especially after you putting that Sawyer pic in my head!!

G:
Yeah, wow….only Lucien can get away with making ‘that thing’ romantic whilst he has a pair of hips rocking against his face and his tongue busy licking and ummm swirling was it?

“Just don’t expect me to hug”….”I like you, but this isn’t Brokeback Mountain.” – Lucien

G:
LOVE the bromance!!!

G:
Isn’t he just! I have to say I wasn’t expecting this!! Lucien’s understanding and faith is making me fall even more in love with him and Dylan is just gorgeous, his heart is GOLD!!!

“You like things that are bad for you, English.”

Uh huh…can I be the Danish pastry that gets devoured on the Love Tug? Pretty please with extra sugar on top!

J: Geez G…steady on – a trip to the Milky way, devoured on the Love Tug AND a Dylan & Lucien butty….you don’t want much do you? LOL
Oh god is there anything more heart melting than reading about Lucien with Tilly? Big dreamy sigh…He’s just divine. I love him.

“There isn’t a single part of my life that isn’t a hundred times better for having you in it.” – Lucien

G:
*CRYING* whilst melting into a puddle on the floor!!!!

G:
Bloody hell is right Jenny…..what happened here??
