There aren't any new cases introduced and I'm not sure if you'll care about who The Poet is without the first book as background. (less)

Does anyone have the Kindle version, and if so, may I ask a favor? Please seaarch for how many times the word "nodded" is used. I like Michael Connelly, and I liked The Narrows. But WOW everybody nods in almost every single conversation! I'm guessing the word is used at least 100 times. Someone did me this favor for 'The Closers' and it was somewhere around 120.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it really annoying when an author tries to pretend that their novel isn't a work of fiction? Connelly does it here: "Outside of the made-up guys in books and movies, nobody's ever been smarter..." I'm sorry, Mr. Connelly, but your super smart fictional character is also a "made-up guy".

Mike Worley Harry Bosch nods and smiles quite a bit when he is on the phone knowing that the person on the phone can’t see him.
