I am a photographer, graphic artist, (working mostly in computer art,) and author. Curiously, I've always wanted to be an automotive stylist, but the dearth of schools that even had that as a course kind of scotched that avenue early on. Most of the schools that had it at the time I was of college age were either in Michigan or California. Rats! So, I pursued my second choices of perhaps film and definitely writing.

I ended up as a photojournalist for about seven years with Time Magazine as well as a local slick magazine celebrating my city. As usual with authors and artists of any stripe, I had to make money in other ways, but I survived and here I am, now a quadruply published author!! HUZZAH!

Hello, people!!

Here I am, starting my very first blog, roughly half a decade after the blogging craze started. Well, I'm here to talk about my books, the "Cassiopeia" series, a story that starts with the maiden mission of an enormous colonizing ship that gets caught in the middle of a Universe-wide phenomenon known to some as "The Great Disruption", where the outer planets in our own solar system become somewhat Read more of this blog post »

William Shakespeare
“True, I talk of dreams,
Which are the children of an idle brain,
Begot of nothing but vain fantasy,
Which is as thin of substance as the air,
And more inconstant than the wind, who woos
Even now the frozen bosom of the north,
And, being anger'd, puffs away from thence,
Turning his side to the dew-dropping south.”
William Shakespeare, Romeo & Juliet

“Dost think because thou art virtuous there shall be no more cakes and ale?" (Twelfth Night)”
William Shakespeare

Isaac Asimov
“And it came to pass that AC learned how to reverse the direction of entropy. But there was now no man to whom AC might give the answer of the last question. No matter. The answer--by demonstration--would take care of that, too. For another timeless interval, AC thought how best to do this. Carefully, AC organized the program.
The consciousness of AC encompassed all of what had been a Universe and brooded over what was now Chaos. Step by step, it must be done.
And AC said, "LET THERE BE LIGHT!"
And there was light--”
Isaac Asimov, Robot Dreams
