Biography
Maris Pfeiffer was born in Dueren in 1962 and studied at the Academy for Television & Film (HFF/M) in Munich. She received prizes at the short film festivals in Cracow and Berlin in 1988 for her directorial debut "Nachts" (1988) and has since made "Kinderkram" (short, 1990), "Kamera: Juergen Juerges, BVK" (documentary short, 1990), "Krieg den Arsch hoch" (environmental ad, co-directed with Imogen Kimmel, 1990), and "Ein Ort, Ein Selbstmord" (documentary short, 1993), which was part of the omnibus film "Neues Deutschland". "Kuess mich!" (1996) was her first full-length feature film. After that, she made "Freunde wie wir" (TV, 1996), "Die Liebesdienerin" (TV, 1999), and "Lieb mich!" (TV, 2000).
