Katja Flint, born November 11, 1959, in Stadthagen/Hannover, spent most of her childhood in Utah. After her return to Germany she finished secondary school, worked as a photo model and attended actor's training. Flint's initial success in Roland Suso Richter's "Kolp" (1984) helped her to establish a career as a TV and movie actress. Dominik Graf's "Die Sieger" (The Invincibles, 1994) made her a star although the movie was a failure at the box office.
In 2000, she portrayed Marlene Dietrich in Joseph Vilsmaier's "Marlene", which also flopped. However, Flint's performance as the German diva was highly praised. She then played in Hark Bohm's "Vera Brühne" (The Trials of Vera B.) and Oskar Roehler's satire "Suck My Dick" (both 2001). In Hermine Huntgeburth's "Die weiße Massai" (The White Masai, 2005) Flint was Elisabeth, the best friend of the main protagonist, Carola, played by Nina Hoss.
