This is a history of a journey. Or is it? Do we get anywhere? Do we see anything we could not see from just looking in the mirror? Each step of the journey is a drought with image and uncertainty. This is the way we get places. This is the way we are stuck exactly where we are. This is a puzzle. Is this a narrative? Or is it just a string of images and misremembered stimuli? You need to take this journey to find out.

Just a Pose is a collection of short, unrelated writings that were all inspired by the images from the 2024 Regional Art Show at the Fitchburg Art Museum Each one of the ninety or so pieces of art has their own collection of words to explore and expand what was presented. Also, it was kind of fun to do. This is a small zine of improvisational writing. Whatever the images inspired are now contained in this zine. Funny, irreverent and just off. This is ekphrasis done like a homework assignment.
