Description
JESUS FORGIVES PETERHey parents! Use these questions as a guide to talk over this week’s lesson, Jesus Forgives Peter, with your child after they’ve watched the video service!
What was your favorite part of the video we just watched? Do you have any questions about what you saw or heard?
What did Peter promise Jesus? What did Peter do instead?Peter promised he would never leave or turn away from Jesus. But Jesus told him that Peter would deny him three times before the rooster crowed. And just as Jesus said, Peter denied even knowing Jesus.
After Jesus was resurrected, he spent time with the disciples. What did Jesus ask Peter?Jesus asked Peter, “Do you love me?” Jesus forgave Peter. Peter spent the rest of his life sharing about Jesus, caring for others, building the church, and helping people know Jesus.
Why does Jesus forgive us?Because he loves us.
How can we be forgiven? When we love Jesus, we can be forgiven, too. We can choose to believe in what Jesus did for us at Easter and follow him. Whenever we sin, we can tell God about it and ask him to forgive us. When we are forgiven, we can choose to share God’s love with others so they can be forgiven and be in God’s family, too.
