Fables of the Stars - First Steps
The Lone Star and the Wandering Planet
Once upon a time, deep in the universe, there was a lonely star shining in a dark, far-off corner of space. Although it was beautiful and bright, the star always felt lonely, because all around it was nothing but emptiness. Every night, the star would gaze into the distance, dreaming of having a friend to share its light with.
One day, as the star was looking into the far corners of the cosmos, he saw something moving in the distance. It was a small planet floating alone, aimlessly. It seemed to be lost and didn't know where to go. The star, excited by the possibility of making a friend, decided to call out to it.
Hello!
the star cried in her bright voice. Who are you and where are you going?
The planet, surprised to hear a voice, stopped and looked towards the light of the star.
I don’t know,
the planet replied sadly. I’ve been traveling through space for a long time, but I haven’t found a place where I belong.
The star, feeling empathy for the planet, said:
—I'm alone too. I've been here, illuminating this corner of the universe, but there's no one I can share my light with. Would you like to stay with me?
The planet thought for a moment. He had never had a home before, he had always been floating around, aimlessly and purposelessly. The idea of having a place to stay made him curious and excited.
I would love to stay with you,
the planet replied, smiling. But I am small and I don't have much light. I don't know if I'll be good company for a star as bright as you.
The star laughed softly and said:
—It doesn't matter how big or small you are. The important thing is that we can be together. I can enlighten you, and you can keep me company.
The planet, happy to have found a place where it was wanted, began to spin around the star. With each revolution, the star shone brighter, and the planet, which had been dark and cold before, began to shine with the light of its new friend.
Years passed, and the star and the planet became inseparable. They told each other stories about distant galaxies and watched passing comets together. They never felt alone again, because they had each other.
One night, while they were looking at the distant stars, the planet said to the star:
—Thank you for enlightening me and giving me a home. I thought I would never find a place to belong.
The star smiled and replied:
—Thank you for being with me. Before, I thought that shining was the most important thing, but now I know that the best thing is to have someone to share that light with.
And so the lonely star and the wandering planet lived happily, knowing that although they were different, together they made a perfect couple.
Moral: Sometimes it doesn't matter how brilliant or great you are, the most valuable thing is having someone to share what you have with.
Orion, the Comet Hunter
High in the sky lived Orion, a star known as the great comet hunter. Orion was strong, brave, and very fast. Everyone in the universe knew that when a comet passed by, Orion was the first to catch it.
Orion enjoyed his life as a hunter. Whenever he saw a comet, he would run after it with its bright light, reach out his starry hands, and catch it in the air. Then he would throw the comet into space, creating new constellations and figures in the sky. Sometimes he would make shapes of animals, other times of things he saw on nearby planets, such as trees or mountains. Everyone admired his skill.
One day, while resting after catching a small comet, Orion saw something in the distance. It was a huge comet, the largest he had ever seen. It was moving so fast that it left a bright tail of light that seemed to never end. Orion was thrilled. He knew that catching this comet would be his greatest feat.
"This will be the biggest comet
