About this ebook

He's the deliciously thick mailman I've had a crush on forever.

And he's my older brother's best friend.

Running my own alternative hair salon in Deepwood Mountain, I see Griff Pierce every day. He delivers my mail and teases me with that irresistible charm. It royally sucks that he's the one guy who'll always be off-limits. Besides, I'm sure he only sees me as his best friend's weird little sister.

So when my brother Harris and his wife, Finley—my bestie—invite us camping, I'm both thrilled and crazy nervous to ride up with Griff—alone. But a flat tire, a busted spare, and no cell service leave Griff and me to spend the night in his truck…doing anything we can to stay warm.

Uh, yeah…it's hard to keep secrets in the arms of the very man they're about. Especially after he reveals his own hidden desires.

But will Griff still want me when daylight breaks and he's forced to face his best friend's fury?

If you prefer men with a little more meat on their bones, Husky Valley's got just what you need. These men are large and in charge, and looking for that one special woman who can handle all they have to offer. So head over to Husky Valley, where big-hearted boys get the love they deserve and more.

Teased by the Mailman is a short, steamy instalove, featuring a big, burly mailman and the purple-haired stylist who's longed to do more than just his hair.

Teased by the Mailman - Lexi Hayes

    CHAPTER 1

    GRIFF

The door chimes cheerfully as I step into Stevie’s Salon, the sound instantly chasing away the monotony of my day so far.

The place is a riot of colors and scents, all competing for a visitor’s attention. The walls are decorated with vibrant and unusual artwork, while the air is thick with the aroma of shampoos, sprays, and nail polish, a heady mix of fresh citrus and tangy florals. Everything feels alive, from the buzz of the clippers to the happy chatter that bounces around the room over the darkwave music.

I feel very out of place in my postal uniform, the blue shorts, button down shirt and ball cap a far cry from the goth/alt aesthetic of those working here. I’m also hyper aware of the extra pounds straining my shirt around my midsection.

Mathias hurries over in black everything, a stack of folded towels in his hands. You can just leave the mail there, Griff, thanks. He motions to the reception desk near the door with his long, thin fingers, adorned with many silver rings.

I set the mail down on the counter. I’m getting a cut today, too, I say, before he has a chance to run off.

His charcoal-lined eyes snap to the clock on the wall. "My god, 12:30 already? Where has the day gone? His gaze moves to Stevie, who’s laughing with a young blonde woman in her chair. She’ll be with you just as soon as she finishes with Juniper," he says.

Ah, right, the Sheriff’s wife. I thought she looked familiar.

I thank him, instantly drawn to Stevie like an industrial strength magnet to sheet metal. She’s in her element, slender hands moving deftly and artfully as she primps Juniper’s curls. Her own hair, cut short and currently dyed a rich shade of violet, shines under the overhead lights. The color complements the glinting rows of metal rings and studs that line the shell of her ears. A tight black band T-shirt fits snug against her sweet little tits, and the micro mini skirt showing off her snow-white legs and rainbow of tattoos has me thinking dirty thoughts already. I swallow hard, my heart racing, feeling the familiar flutter of longing that always comes with a side order of disbelief. Every time I see her, I’m struck by how much I’m attracted to her—both her sexy little body and her playful energy.

Yo, big hunk o’ mailman! she calls, bringing me back to the moment. Mathias puts down the towels to take Juniper’s payment after Stevie gives her a hug goodbye, and then Stevie’s eyes lock onto mine.

Shit. How does she do that? Make me feel as if I’m the only one in the room ?

I remove my ball cap, ruffling my hair as she walks up to me.

Her glossy red lips split into a wide grin. Those luscious locks of yours are just begging for some TLC, Teddy Bear.

Well, you know you’re the only one who can tame them properly, Pixie Pie, I say, giving her a wink. I swear, I become a different person when she’s around. Flirty. Fun. Sexually charged. And I like it.

I gave her the nickname Pixie Pie long ago, when she was just a kid. Her big brother Harris and I have been best friends since elementary school, and we were already teenagers by the time Stevie came along. She’s always looked like a little pixie to me.

She chuckles and motions for me to follow her back to the washing stations. Her cute hips sway back and forth in front of me and I desperately try to keep myself in check. You’re looking thin, Pixie Pie. After we’re done here can I bring you a pizza? Or a burger from Marge’s? I’ll still be on my lunch break.

She rolls her eyes as I settle into one of the chairs, and she drapes the salon cape
