Sushi Roll Recipe: Spicy Tuna Roll
Ingredients:
Sushi rice (2 cups)
Nori sheets (seaweed) (4 sheets)
Sushi-grade tuna (8 ounces), finely chopped
Mayonnaise (3 tablespoons)
Sriracha sauce (1 tablespoon)
Soy sauce (1 tablespoon)
Sesame oil (1 teaspoon)
Green onion (2 stalks), thinly sliced
Cucumber (1/2, julienned)
Pickled ginger, for serving
Wasabi, for serving
Soy sauce, for serving
Instructions:
Cook the sushi rice according to the package instructions. Once cooked, let it cool to room temperature.
In a bowl, combine the finely chopped tuna, mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sliced green onion. Mix well until the tuna is evenly coated in the spicy sauce.
Lay a bamboo sushi mat on a clean surface and place a sheet of nori on top.
Wet your hands with water to prevent the rice from sticking. Take a handful of sushi rice and evenly spread it over the nori, leaving a small space at the top uncovered.
Flip the nori sheet over, so the rice side is facing down.
Spread a thin layer of the spicy tuna mixture across the middle of the nori sheet.
Place julienned cucumber along the length of the spicy tuna.
