    Stolen Djinns - V.T. Bonds

    Dedication

Sometimes, all we really need is a break.

Other times, we need to be put back together.

At least we don’t have to wait eons to find freedom.

    Zuli

    No. You’re kidding, right?

When Kai’tau’s crimson eyes show no signs of mirth, I turn to Ke’nu for support.

His expression doesn’t look very promising, either.

Firming my spine despite the sweat coating my skin and the satiation in my bones, I turn back to my unyielding mate and glare.

"I will not go to another dimension. This is my home. I live on Earth, not some other world."

    We belong there.

His deep, rumbly voice makes me want to sink into the mattress and relive the euphoria he gave me mere seconds ago, but this new topic is too crazy to ignore.

And I belong here. I’m not going.

Ke’nu sighs, which raises my hackles faster than Kai’tau’s scowl.

I’ve known you for, what, four days? No way am I going to some unknown dimension. Nope, not happening.

Ke’nu rolls off the bed and stands, making a few blankets fall off my nest and onto the floor. I move without thinking, my snarl filling the room as I scoop them up and hug the bundle of fabric close.

It’s too soon, brother. Give her a little while longer. She’ll soften to the idea.

My shoulders hunch and my stomach drops to the floor when Kai’tau pierces me with furious, calculating eyes. The menace on his face makes me want to disappear.

"We’ve been gone too long already. We must return and ensure our clan survives, or have you forgotten our responsibilities, brother?"

The masculine anger coursing through the room both terrifies and arouses me. My core throbs, threatening to seep slick onto my sheets, despite the thorough cleaning my mates just gave me.

I’ll never see their tongues and not melt. Never taste their skin and not need more. Never smell their pheromones and not want their domination.

Light meets dark as my mates clash, their fists cracking against each other as emotions loosen their control.

My common sense demands I huddle in my nest and avoid the overwhelmingly aggressive battle, but I hate seeing either of them hurt.

I fling the top of my nest back and dart across the room, sticking my body between theirs despite the gauntlet of fists woven within their movements.

Scant millimeters from contact, their strikes pause in midair, my intrusion ending the fight in the blink of an eye.

Ke’nu’s vibrant green eyes aim enraged torment into my soul, but though I shiver in fear, I refuse to back down.

Although I fight nausea as adrenaline shakes my bones, I place a hand on each of their massive chests and watch as their fury leaks from them.

    Stop fighting.

Never jump into danger again, Zuli.

I lift my eyebrow and scoff, even though there’s nothing funny about this.

    Or what? You’ll hit me?

Onyx arms wrap around me from behind and press me against a gigantic erection.

I daresay she’s more than earned it, Kai’tau whispers next to my ear.

Terror tightens my chest as his livid growl vibrates into my back.

Between one breath and the next, I go from being wedged between two sexy mountains to being flung over hard knees. Before a squeal of protest leaves my chest, a ruthless hand thwacks against my right buttock and steals my breath. My legs flail to no avail while I grab Kai’tau’s dark calf, but a colossal hand settles between my shoulder blades and halts my attempt to rise.

A swat lands on my other cheek, ruining my inhale, and I choke and cough, desperate for oxygen. A sound reminiscent of a whimper slides from my chest as I wait with coiled muscles, horrified at my predicament.

    Never put yourself in danger.

The harsh edge to Kai’tau’s tone causes tears to fill my lashes, my soul wanting to wail over his displeasure. The animalistic side they’ve woken
