    Introduction

Jesus is the incarnation of God the Son; Jesus was the awaited Messiah Who walked on earth two thousand years back. He was crucified on the cross, rose again on the third day, and ascended into heaven. He then gave us the Holy Spirit, enabling us to live a powerful Christian life. The Holy Spirit will reveal Jesus, convict us of our sins, draw us closer to God, lead and guide us, endure trials and temptations, and ensure to bring our life into perfection, just like the Lord Jesus Christ. As Christians, we depend on the power of the Holy Spirit that resides in us. When people accept Christ into their hearts, they are born again. Being born again is to experience a new birth in the Spirit. The Lord Jesus said in John 3:3, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. After that, Jesus went on to say in John 3:5–6, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. When we are born again in the Spirit, we have the power of Jesus in our lives. Yet, because of the noise, the surrounding circumstance, and the chaos that is going on in this world, we are distracted; in most cases, we ignore that we have God inside us and neglect to acknowledge Him in overcoming every season in this life on earth. Therefore, I have written this book to help newborn Christians to learn more about Jesus and His power, understand the manifestation of the Spirit’s power, and exercise it in life.

    The Power of Salvation

A postle Paul says in Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. * This verse informs us that whoever believes in the Gospel of Christ will be saved . Jesus is the only-begotten Son of God (John 3:16) Who came to earth, walked among the people, and went to the cross to be slain. Why did this incident happen? Jesus is also called the Lamb of God that took away the world’s sins (John 1:29). He became the sin-bearer on the tree on which He hung. Jesus took all our sins in His body on Calvary (1 Peter 2:24).

What is sin, and why are we all sinners in nature? Sin, according to 1 John 3:4, is lawlessness, which in this context means violating God’s law, or His commandments. Some would call it rebellion against God. Where did sin start? Sin came from the beginning of the human race; it originates from Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Satan came between Adam and Eve and was the main character which enticed Eve into sin. How did Satan do that? In the Garden of Eden, God instructed Adam not to eat from one tree, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God warned Adam that the moment he ate from this tree would result in death (Genesis 2:17).

After God created Eve from Adam’s rib, a cunning serpent whispered to Eve to eat the fruit from the tree that God had forbidden. The serpent even said, You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil (Genesis 3:4–5). God created Eve as a female companion for a male. The serpent succeeded in convincing Eve, who then took the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge and Evil and ate it. Eve also gave the fruit to Adam to eat. After eating the fruit, their eyes were opened and knew they were naked, immediately covering themselves with fig leaves (Genesis 3:6–7). This is the beginning of the Fall of man or where sin originates in the human race.

The serpent tempted Eve, and Eve fell; Eve believed the serpent and did what she was told. When God knew that Adam and Eve had eaten the fruit, Adam blamed Eve for being the one who gave it to him. God’s wrath came upon the serpent, Adam, and Eve, and the Lord God sent them out of Eden
