About this ebook

     The book of  Corinthians contains so many important principles in our Christian walk with the Lord.  It tells us that we are called by  God. Isn't it wonderful that He even chose to call us before we were born and that He continually calls us, until we finally come to Him?  It tells us that we are never alone but when we receive Jesus; he is always with us.  It tells us that we can't keep the Law by our own strength, as by our flesh.  We keep the Law by His grace.  We are to declare our righteousness by grace through faith in who we are "in Him".  We are a New Creation, a spiritual being, made in the image and likeness of God.  Now we are called to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh.  This book is a study and a devotional.  We will cover so many truths and respond to Jesus in praise and worship because of what he has done.  praise the lord.

    Corinthians - Shalom Jim

    INTRODUCTION

    The book of  Corinthians contains so many important principles in our Christian walk with the Lord.  It tells us that we are called by  God. Isn't it wonderful that He even chose to call us before we were born and that He continually calls us, until we finally come to Him?  It tells us that we are never alone but when we receive Jesus; he is always with us.  It tells us that we can't keep the Law by our own strength, as by our flesh.  We keep the Law by His grace.  We are to declare our righteousness by grace through faith in who we are in Him.  We are a New Creation, a spiritual being, made in the image and likeness of God.  Now we are called to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh.  This book is a study and a devotional.  We will cover so many truths and respond to Jesus in praise and worship because of what he has done.  praise the lord.

    1 CO 1:1. CALLED BY GOD

    1Co 1:1 KJV Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

    If it was up to the Church, Paul would have never been an Apostle. I know that I would have never picked Paul. God knows the heart of man. As long as men pick leaders, there are going to be mistakes made. I guess that is why we need to keep praying for all leaders.

    Dear Jesus! We can only go by our feelings most of the time. They might start out good but get tempted and go astray. We also can be narrow-minded and think that it has to be done a certain way. Help us and our leaders to keep our eyes on You and follow You. Give them visions and revelation to bring forth the Good News. May all we seek and do bring glory to Your name. We pray for more like Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit to declare Your Word in power and love. To God be the glory Amen!  Shalom2u

    1 CO 1:2 JOIN TO CHRIST

    1Co 1:2 EasyEnglish I am sending this letter to you Christians (the church) in the city called Corinth. God chose you for himself. He wanted you to be his special people, who belong to him. He has made you good and clean inside because he has made you join to Christ Jesus. Also, He has made you join to everyone everywhere who worships our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is their Lord, as he is our Lord.

    The EasyEnglish version expressed  how God sees us In Christ  .  We keep on looking at our flesh but God looks on the inner man.  The New Creation man made in the image and likeness of Christ.  When we declare who we are in Christ, we are walking in the Spirit.  This takes faith.  When we declare who we are in the flesh,  we are walking after the flesh.  This doesn't require any faith.

    The next thing that we have to establish is the Word Lord .  The word Lord can have a very positive effect or a negative one.  God came to save everyone.  He wants everyone to receive Him as Lord and Savior.  This is very positive because as Lord and Savior, He has been granted permission to use His power and authority to bless and protect us.  Psalms 23 and Psalms 103 are  just two good examples of Jesus doing that.  Now when it comes to evil spirits, He comes against them with all His power and authority to destroy their evil ways.

    Dear Jesus!  As Lord and Savior,  we are in Your mighty, all-powerful, protecting, loving hands.  Psalms 91:1‭-‬2 WEB  He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.  In You, we are protected and cared for.  To God be the glory Amen!  Shalom2u

    1CO1:3-4JESUS-GRACE-FAITH=SHALOM/ PEACE

    1Co 1:3-4 WEB3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 4 I always thank my God concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus;

    Jesus is the foundation of the Christian Faith.  It's all about Jesus and Faith in Him.  Faith in Jesus is more than believing in His name, He is the Savior and the Son of God.  Until we fully believe that Jesus saves 100%, we will keep trying to obey the Law and save ourselves.  This is where Grace comes in.  We receive Grace by Faith in believing what Jesus has done for us.  We are righteous not because we act righteously but by Faith and Grace from Jesus Christ.  Philippians 3:9 WEB  and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;  Romans 5:1‭-‬2 WEB  Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

    Too many churches have separated Faith and Grace.  Each compliment one another in our journey of walking in the Spirit.  We cannot receive the promises
