Void, My Everything
Pushing you till you reach the point where thick metal snaps,
I’ve created the leather straps,
To make for you the saddle our society craves,
To put you in a place people have designed,
Never letting the being inside grow.
I scream in my head, I kill what is low,
I can never escape;
So, I plot my obliteration,
My one way off a rock full of savage animals,
It lies in the dust we breathe.
I want not your salvation offered to you by other humankind less intelligent,
I seek not your God,
I desire not your beauty,
I despise your wealth,
I want every atom in my body to split,
Scatter me across a galaxy disguised to keep you prisoner,
I will be free in the destruction nothing brings,
The void I have not escaped.
Your God is bowing his head,
His own hand not being able to save the energy that has scattered,
Cry for me a million hosts, I was never here,
I had everything;
Now, I desire nothing.
50051.pngLife of Grind
The rain slowly passes over the flesh,
Creating for us even more stress,
Busy crowds looking for food,
Old people who can be quite rude,
Kids screaming for the quarter they will never get,
People rushing around,
Day in day out,
It’s the same old grind, same routine,
Find for us some nicotine,
Let us enjoy our pleasures at the expense of our health,
Kill for us our own wealth.
We plunder the bank for material things,
To never pay back the golden rings,
The broken promises of yesterday scare,
Even from afar,
I will pay you tomorrow for a meal right now,
Eating is gluttony, eating our chow.
Kill for me, my everything,
To create what is quiet,
So we may sing,
Of better days,
Where the world forgets,
We are crewmen,
Our work never ends.
