About this ebook
Ian Lovell
I was born on the 4th June 1973 in Leicester, England. I started to write at quite an early age, stories poems etc. I like to lose myself into other places, I could create. At a later stage in my life I got into songwriting with bands and then solo. Have released two solo albums ( independently), ‘Open road’ and ‘Don’t let go’ along with a single recorded in London, ‘Walk beneath the moon.’ I find poetry and songwriting a similar process and a joy to do.

Realm of Reality, Rhyme and Dream - Ian Lovell
Burn the candle
Burn the candle at both end
For the late hour spent playing
The early morning must ascend
From the weary bed onto the street
Bleary eyed vision for not enough sleep
Try to see it through without struggle or pain
For when the night comes we do it again
To burn the candle at both end
Drink nights away
Early hangover mornings come again
Before the onset of winter, Autumn poem
Kicking leaves, that fall from trees
While walking under the grey blanket sky
Passing through woodland
Of red gold and Green
Autumnal colours
Reach out to be seen
While strolling muddy paths
And puddle strewn grounds
Animals that forage make gathering sounds
Before the onset of winter
And the last leaf falls
Migrating birds gather
For the long journey calls
After the rain
Colours fill the sky
In an arc form after the rain
Dark clouds had gathered
To come down on us again
But such a glorious aftermath
Makes it all worthwhile
So frowning when the rain came
But ended with a smile
Tears from the Great Spirit
To the sound of the drum
They Dance in
