      Rolling through the Catskill Mountains, I turn my head to glance at Natasha. No matter how long we’ve been married, just the sight of her never ceases to stir me.

      The fall weather has transformed the green trees into a spectacle of vibrant colors. She turns her head away from the window to look at me. Her hand slips into mine, holding it as it rests on the console between us. This was a great idea. Coming on a trip, just the two of us.

      Thank you. I thought we could use some alone time. And what better time than the weekend of Halloween. The kids are with their grandparents, and we get time alone. A win-win. I pick our clasped hands up and kiss hers. The remote cabin I rented us should make a pretty romantic setting. A nice fire in the fireplace, a comfy bed smack in the middle of the room. Sound interesting to you, baby?

      Her smile is sly as her eyes dance. More than interesting. Can I count on having a little rough stuff from you this weekend?

      Your ass will be delightfully sore for a week. I wink at her as if I’m joking. But I’m wickedly serious.

      A train full of people taking in the gorgeous scenery moves alongside us. A couple of kids wave at us and Natasha waves right back. How cute are they. Oh, I miss…

      No talking about the kids this weekend. Don’t you remember I made that rule just before we left home? I remind her. I want this to be about us and only us, this weekend. I want us to reconnect.

      With a family, it seems a couple can get lost in the shuffle at times. And it’s my job to make sure this couple doesn’t lose sight of each other. We are the ones who started it all. It is us who are the most important people in our family. The heads, the keepers of the peace, and the providers of everything our little cherubs need.

      If Mommy and Daddy aren’t happy, no one can be happy. And I’ve felt a bit left out by my wife of late. Not that she’s meant to do it. I know she hasn’t. But the kids and their school, along with all the other things she has to do, have gotten in our way a bit. Hence the need for a weekend alone.

      Pulling onto the dirt road that’ll take us to the cabin, I find her looking at me with surprise. You really did mean remote.

      I did. I had the house stocked already with everything we’ll need for our little getaway. I earn a smile for my forethought. I’m taking the weight off her shoulders for only a couple of days, but I can see she needed that weight lifted, desperately.

      I hope you’ve made sure there are copious amounts of red wine, Nicholai. She leans her head back on the headrest and looks out the window. I just want to unplug and lose myself in you for a little while.

      My cock stirs with her words. There is nothing I want more than for that to happen. I want her to let herself go. Let me take over. The way I love to.

      I pull to a stop right in front of the one-room cabin. It’s quaint, charming, and cozy looking. Her hand goes to the door handle, and I stop her, taking her by the arm. Wait. I want to start this out right. She looks at me with questioning eyes as I pull something out of my pocket. Pushing her long blonde hair away from the back of her neck, I put a stamp on her skin, marking her. For the next forty-eight hours you’re mine to do with what I want. You’ve been branded, baby.

      Her eyes level on mine, the determination in them only sparking the fire that’s already begun inside me. I hope you’ll be easy with me.

      Not a chance in hell. I get out of the car and come around to open her door. Grabbing her, I put her over my shoulder and carry her into the cabin, caveman style.

      When I place her back on her feet, she gives me a little smile before looking around the room. Pointing at the fluffy pink cuffs that adorn the headboard of the queen size bed that sits in the middle of the room, she asks, Are those for you or me?

      You, I answer her quickly then point across the room to get her to look at the shackles on the stone walls. And those are for you too.

      Sliding my hands around her waist, I feel the chill that runs through her body, making it shake just a bit.

      Good, I like it when she’s just a bit afraid.

      On a small table near the shackles, there are assorted things to make it even more fun. A dark blue silk blindfold, a heated vibrating dildo, and a flogger.

      She turns in my arms, looking at me, caressing my bearded cheek. So I will be your only form of entertainment for the next couple of days, huh?
