About this ebook

Have you ever wondered why Paul and Jesus had such radical different messages? Such as; While Paul gave us no less than 36 reasons why we should reject YHVH's 'law and the Prophets', Jesus said we must keep YHVH's law and the Prophets to enter eternal life. And then Jesus said we must keep his words to gain eternal life. But, unfortunately, Christian Church doctrines are based on Paul's writings not Jesus' words. So how does a person reconcile these two radical messages? You don't, because you can't. Ultimately you have to choose between them and according to the Scriptures, Jesus spoke YHVH words with YHVH authority, and said if we want to see life, we must keep his words. Paul, on the other hand, speaks as a Pharisee, and Jesus warned us about the doctrines of the Pharisees. Could Jesus been thinking of Paul when he said that... read this book and you will know.

    THE PREFACE

The Christian Church is grounded and founded on Paul’s Epistles. While the Christian Church is all about Jesus, but all its understanding of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection are not from the Gospels, but the Church’s practices, beliefs and theologies are rooted in Paul’s Epistles.  Paul was a Pharisee, and that should raise a big red flag for us.

    THE INTRODUCTION

According to Deuteronomy 18:18-19 YHVH (Yahoveh) God said in the future He would send His special anointed Prophet who would speak His words with His authority.  According to Acts 3:22 and Acts 7:37 Jesus was that anointed Prophet, that makes him the Christ or the Messiah.  And Jesus himself claimed that he spoke YHVH’s words with His authority, in John 12:49 and 14:10.  And if we believe that YHVH God raised Jesus from the dead, we must believe that would be YHVH’s stamp of approval on Jesus’ mission and teachings and that resurrection serves to identify him as the Messiah.  If Jesus would have been a false prophet, YHVH never would have raised him from the dead.

So those mentioned Scriptures all serve to establish Jesus as being YHVH’s word made flesh (John1:14), and if that is true, then there is no greater authority.  And, of course, all Jesus spoke is in agreement with YHVH’s words in the Old Testament, Jesus even told us to keep YHVH’s ‘law and the Prophets’ forever. We dare not even question or doubt YHVH’s words or Jesus’ words, they are timeless absolute truths which will never be out-of-date or obsolete which are beyond reproach.

So, if someone speaks and claim they are speaking for YHVH or for Jesus, we have to examine their message and see if it is compatible with YHVH’s words or Jesus’ message as we find them in the Scriptures.  If that person’s words are compatible with what YHVH spoke and what Jesus spoke, then that person may be a true prophet speaking truth.  But if what that person speaks is not compatible with YHVH’s words or Jesus’ words, they are a false prophet and their message must be dismissed.

So, let’s examine Paul’s message to see if it should be embraced, discarded or perhaps keeping what is compatible with Jesus and YHVH are discarding the rest.

Chapter 1 – Paul, the Deceptive Pharisee You Though You Knew

    Supreme Authority

Perhaps the most important question we all have to ask ourselves is; who is your supreme authority?  We all have many authorities in our lives to which we need to answer: parents, spouse, boss, teachers, police, IRS, God, religious leaders, etc.  But we all have just one supreme authority to which we will obey above all other authorities should there be a conflict in their commands.  We will always obey our chosen supreme authority, and if we should fail to do so we will repent, and recommit ourselves to obey our supreme authority.

Our supreme authority is also our true god.  Our Supreme authority should be YHVH (Yahoveh) God or Jesus, but that’s usually not the case, and the evidence for that is in a person’s behavior.

To make Jesus as our supreme authority is to make YHVH our Supreme authority, because Jesus spoke YHVH’s words with YHVH’s authority, and Jesus told us to keep YHVH’s ‘law and the Prophets’.  If we see in our lives a pattern of rejecting, disobeying, ignoring, or setting aside YHVH’s law(s), there’s good reason to believe that neither He nor Jesus is our true supreme authority regardless of what we confess.

YHVH needs to be our supreme authority, as Peter and the Apostles rejected the commands of the high priest and the religious council said, We ought to obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29).  They said God is their supreme authority, trumping over the authority of the high priest and the religious council.

When we are deceived into forsaking YHVH as our supreme authority, we will make ‘self’ our supreme authority.  When we are deceive into making ‘self’ as our own supreme authority, Satan, who is behind the deception is honored.  That’s why Jesus said we must crucify ‘self’ and follow him (Matthew 16:24).

The word ‘worship’ is made up to two words, ‘worth’ and ‘ship’.  Worship is showing the greatest worth to a person or being.  Whoever is of greatest worth for us will be our supreme authority.  When we obey our supreme authority, above all other authorities, we are attributing the greatest worth to that authority, and that is an
