Welcome, readers, to the April issue of Spaceports & Spidersilk.
I have always loved second-hand stores. I love poking through racks of dissimilar clothing, knowing that anything I find will be different from whatever trendy item is flooding the local chain stores, and that each piece of jewelry I sort through is special, and unique.
Of course, some pieces are more special, more unique than others. Occasionally, heaped in the dusty bins and drawers I will find a something that the shop owners have undervalued, a genuine gem, or strip of designer silk buddled in with the rhinestones and polyester. And once in a while, in the rarest of thrift shops, there will be even rarer finds, items whose value has little to do with money or fame, but far more to do with strangeness and power.
