Enri opened his eyes and felt pain and hunger. He had no memory of what had happened. The last thing he remembered was meeting with a trader. He said he had some new exotic spices he might be interested in. Now there he was, waking up with no memory. He tried sitting up, but couldn't. He realized he was in a box and tied up, unable to free his hands. Panic settled in his chest and he didn't know what to do. He screamed as the pain he felt earlier radiated through his body. He kicked and tried to get out of his confinement, but it was no use; wherever he was, was a very solid box and he wasn't going to kick his way out.

Enri gave up on escape and the pain was all he could think about. It felt like he was burning alive. He wondered if he had died and was in hell. He did have that affair with his neighbor’s wife, but he was lonely and she was more than willing. Yes, that must be it. I am in hell. Every time a wave of pain radiated through his body, he would instinctively struggle against the rope that tied his hands.

Enri heard a voice in the distance suddenly, and he realized he could hear the voice like it was right next to him. He heard the rattling of chains and then the lid on the box opened and he realized it wasn't just a box; they locked him in a coffin. The thought horrified him. Were they planning on killing him? He focused of the faces for the first time: two women, very pale and beautiful. One was blonde while the other had brown hair. The blonde had very wide eyes, like a friendly little puppy and the other seemed more sinister, like she was sizing him up for a meal.

Why are you holding me? Enri demanded.

Oh no, he's mad. I told you not to restrain him like that. It's scary, the blonde said to the brown haired woman.

I said you could pick one to turn, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t take precautions. New ones are dangerous; look at the blood hunger in his eyes. He is just itching to feed.

The blonde helped Enri sit up. He squinted, even though the only light was from the moonlight. I am Benita, and that’s my sister, Sarita. Don't let her scare you; she is great but just looks scary.

    What is going on here?

We wanted to change someone. Well, not just anyone. We needed a man to pose as our brother. It’s hard to travel while being an unescorted female. When I saw you, I thought you were perfect. I knew you would be the best brother, Benita said as she untied his hands.

Enri looked up at the pair. He was confused. Another wave of pain hit his body and he screamed and then clenched his teeth. He realized his teeth felt sore and different. He felt them and felt a pair of very distinctive fangs. What is happening to me; what have you done?

I allowed Benita to turn you.

Enri's head was still spinning and the pain was subsiding a bit. Please, Sarita. I don't understand. What have you done to me?

Sarita looked at Enri with her stormy grey eyes. Enri could see her expression soften. We changed you; you are now a Vampire, like we are.

Enri listened, but didn’t believe them. Vampires weren't real. They couldn't be. Enri looked again and froze as both Benita and Sarita smiled with very prominent fangs.

    Oh fuck!

Enri slowly crawled out of the coffin and tried backing out of the room. Benita was suddenly behind him. That freaked him out even more. Please, ladies, just let me go. I promise I won’t tell a soul.

Benita hugged Enri from behind, which creeped him out even more. I know you will be a very good brother. Now we can travel without fear of being attacked or being questioned. It will be so much fun, Enri.

Enri calmed a bit and followed as Benita tugged him into the room. He looked around for the first time and saw it was nicely decorated. The strange thing was there were no windows, so he had no indication as to where he was. The air was musty, like a cellar, and he wondered if he was underground. He sat on a chair next to both women, who sat together on a couch.

Look, Benita is your sire so that means you are tied to her until she releases you, and I won’t allow her to do that anytime soon. Women have almost no rights and traveling alone puts a target on our heads for robbery and rape. We could easily fight off whoever tried to do us harm, but the last thing we want is unwanted attention. Sorry, Enri, you're stuck with us, Sarita said in a matter of fact tone. He didn’t know what to do. They changed him into some monster, but he didn't feel much different other than some gnawing hunger.

There was a knock at the door and Benita jumped up and answered it and came back with a large, brown haired woman. This is Maria. She is a feeder and she will feed you tonight.

Maria smiled meekly and sat on a chair nearby.

Sarita grabbed Enri by the collar and brought him over to Maria. Feed from the wrist. If you hurt her, I will castrate you.

Enri didn’t understand what she was talking about. Feed? Like he was cattle about to graze on some grass? Just then, his fangs felt more painful and ten times more sensitive, and suddenly he was at the woman's wrist and he drank greedily. The blood tasted so good, like every favorite food rolled into one and multiplied. He drank down the sweetness and didn't stop until he felt a pain in his pants and realized Sarita had him by the balls, dragging him away from Maria.

You evil woman! Why did you do that?

I like Maria and there’s no other way to stop you from feeding.

Benita took Maria's wrist and licked it and the wound sealed up. Then she walked Maria to the door and hugged her and closed the door behind
