Here's the Man

About this ebook
You cannot know Robert Jackson very long before you are aware of his passion for Jesus. It is this passion for Jesus that provides the desire that he has for mentoring men to become all they can be for Jesus. Robert's prior books asked the question, Where is the man? He begins to open up Joseph's life to declare in this book, HERE'S THE MAN!
No one wants to be viewed as a failure. You were created to dream and given gifts to make that dream happen. As God declares His will for our lives we begin to make a plan to achieve or reach for that will. However, unplanned disruptions seem to build roadblocks to that destiny or the fulfillment of our dream. Are they roadblocks? Are these disruptions keeping us from God's will? We begin to question have we really heard from God? Did we miss something in what I thought was God's plan for me?
In this book about Joseph, you will find principles that can help you to understand how God, the Father moves from declaring His will to taking us unto the plan of fulfilling that will. The important insights and illumination in this book from God's Word can alter our mindset, keep us from fighting the plan God has for us, and alter the circumstances of your life and bring a change that will positively impact you and your family. You will be challenged and changed as you see how God finally declares to Egypt and the world HERE'S THE MAN!

The answer is easier than we want to make it
There is nothing like being the favorite
And Joseph dreamed a dream
Innocence or Arrogance
They know when you are telling the truth
Enter Hostile territory willingly with your eyes wide open
Resolve is necessary
Those against you spot you often before you know it.
It just seems like the end.
God knows how to encourage along the way.
God blesses others because of you
Don’t get too comfortable!!!
Is this the way things are going to be forever
Prison A change in plans
God is not through with Joseph yet
It may not be coincidence
Faithfully be who you are

Foreword
In reading this book I was reminded of the scripture in Jeremiah 29:11… For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
God truly has orchestrated and ordained a plan and a divine purpose for each of us. In Joseph’s life, as mentioned in this book, the plan seemed to be a maze of disappointments, frustrations, and severe challenges yet at the end of the day God worked His plan and saved a nation. What caught my attention is the fact that God is more in control than we may be aware of. He is positioning and directing our steps every day. As the book clearly states, our greatest challenge is to have the resolve to stay the course.
I want so much to be the man that God can count on to cross the finish line with my job complete.

Genesis 50:19-20
But Joseph said to them, "Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.

Introduction
There comes a point in every man’s life that he must accept his place in God’s plan for his life. After a lifetime of watching and observing others in that step it is still mind boggling considering the different responses people choose. Some walk through calmly like it is no big deal while others struggle with every decision. Yes, I said decision. It is a sovereign decision.
One of the toughest things for me originally was this particular step of accepting God’s plan for my life. After I was saved there was a time that I knew God wanted more from me. I prayed and took advantage of opportunities of ministry as they came available. As time went on direction of specific calling became clear. I knew that not only was I called to preach, I was called to pastor. I understood there was a specific calling on my life. What I didn’t understand was that I was only partially in control of fulfilling it.
I had a number of friends who seemed to never have to make any contacts or even ask for places to preach. However the experience for me was exactly the opposite. I got told no many more times than I was to yes. It was just about to drive me nuts because there didn’t seem to be anything I could do to change it. I was praying. I was fasting; I was making myself available but nothing seem to be happening. There came a time that I determined that until the fulfillment of being a pastor was afforded I would be faithful doing what I could. I had a friend that had taken a church in the area and so I chose to place myself at his right hand doing whatever he needed help with. The very first day we received the call to go to our first pastorate.
As we look at the life of Joseph, let us consider the difference between God’s will and His plan for us. My hope is that we may find strength and encouragement as we determine to continue forward in God’s will and apply ourselves in His plan. My desire is to be all that God wants me to be and to accomplish what God wants me to accomplish. I hope that is yours also.
We will probably determine that knowing God’s will and accepting God’s plan are two separate issues. We may be able to see the direction. We can certainly sense urgency. The Holy Spirit’s job is to draw us close and direct our steps. However we probably don’t know the specifics of the timing. Our reply to the urgency and sensitivity to the drawing of the spirit is going to be extremely important during this time. God knows His plans for us. He is for us. Keep in mind these three words. HERE’S THE MAN.

Growing up I remember going to church. I can’t tell you that I remember a lot of specifics about churches we attended but I do remember attending. At the age of eight or
