James Warner

James Warner, I live in a very small town call Tuskegee, Al. and grew up in Chicago Il. before moving to Birmingham, Al. I decided to become a writer because I felt compelled to allow readers to view life as it really is because life as it is presented to us can be very deceptive. I enjoy writing and I enjoy helping people who otherwise live in darkness with no avenue to turn for help. The power of the mind is priceless when used in its proper context.

Thought Provoking Thoughts - James Warner

    Introduction

I grew up in Chicago, Ill and later moved to Birmingham, Al. has lived a life of ups and downs and lived to tell about it. I spent 3 years in prison admitting to a crime I did not commit and ultimately destroyed my marriage, these days I spend my time writing and enjoying the peace I have in my heart towards people and life itself. Inner peace is something that cannot be bought and yet so cherished, in this book my goal is to help others find inner peace within themselves and learn to love ones self, because one must love themselves before they can love others. I have learned that in life, everything is not black and white as society may portray it to be. With God’s blessing and the strong support group of friends, this book was made possible and gave me the inner strength to push forward.

    Special Thanks

I would like to give a special thanks to Aundria, whom has been very supportive from day one and has been my foundation to lean on for mental and spiritual support. I would also like to give a special thanks to Brentina, who also gave me positive support and always believed in me. I would also like to thank my lovely children James the 3rd and Jasmine, and for my daughter Jasmine especially for always remaining positive and being so encouraging and never wavering in her support for me. None of this would be possible without Gretchen whom was always there for me as well and an extra special thanks to Almighty God for giving me the wisdom and knowledge to make such an impact on so many lives.

Thought for the day: Think about where you were 10 to 15 years ago and think about where you are today and where you want to be tomorrow and how your going to get to where you want to be. Do you even know where you’re going in your life? As you get older are your goals within reason and at what point does reality settle in? If at some point in your life you start to wonder where to get the answers, try sitting down and having a long talk with God and ask him for the answers. Its more to life than just financial gain, happiness and a peace of mind is very important as well, because as we get older, our place of rest becomes even more important to us and where our souls will rest, and chasing money your whole life with no purpose means nothing.

Thought for the day: Stubbornness, stupidity, and utter ridiculous, those terms can all run together when dealing with situations on the job, relationships, and even when dealing with family. When you are dealing with a person that is simply not willing to listen and believes their foolishness has credibility and responds with something of absolute no substance that is where stubbornness, stupidity, and utter ridiculous come into play. How do you deal with that? You don’t, you simply walk away from it and allow the powers that be deal with it. It comes a time in life when you must realize there are some things you simply cannot handle or is not meant for you to deal with, so you pray about it, let it go, and move forward. Save your energy and stop wasting it

Thought for the day: Being lonely is not helpful for the soul, and often times you find yourself wanting that someone special in your life. Sometimes you think to yourself how frustrating it is being lonely, but ask yourself this, do you really honestly want someone in your life? are you willing to release some of the ways about yourself that could push he/she away from you? If you have an alternate lifestyle that may be in question, you may need to re evaluate your desire to bring someone into your life knowing you do not wish to change, and stop complaining about being lonely. If you are too set in your ways that you aren’t willing to change, than your relationship is with the lifestyle you are living, and stop wondering why your past relationships failed, the answers lie within you.

Thought for the day: In choosing our own passage we must learn not to blame others for our failures, often times we tend to blame others for our failures in life because of our poor decisions. God gives us dominion over ourselves as we choose our own path, most of everything we experience in life is self-inflicted and not by others. Truly that may be a hard pill to swallow but it is true, and when you stop and think about the heartaches and pain you have gone through in your life, you will find that it was self inflicted and could have been prevented a long time ago. More times than none we have a difficult time believing that we would bring so much harm on ourselves but we do. We must stop blaming others for our shortcomings and take a look in the mirror and analyze improving ourselves.

Thought for the day: I have always wondered why does it take extreme circumstances for people to change? Why not just change for the better of yourself and your life, it makes sense to me. Granted nobody is perfect, but to maintain a healthy relationship one must be willing to sacrifice and humble them rather than form a take it or leave it attitude. Shutting it down and closing out a person when a misunderstanding occurs will only add to the tension and make for an uncomfortable environment and being stubborn never brings resolution to an issue. Leaning on to your own understanding is always a big no no, praying and trusting in God to help resolve your issues is always the best antidote, you cannot do it alone.

Thought for the day: Sometimes in life when raising children as a single parent, and you see where they are a success in life in terms of school and making a honest living, you still lose. Meaning, if those children grow up and follow the same blueprint at that single parent did in raising them alone, that is not the blueprint of success in God’s eyes. It’s called generational curse, some people believe in it, some don’t, some never heard if it, truth is, it exist and if we do not instill moral values within our children the cycle will continue on and on. At some point the cycle must stop and the poisoning of ones bloodline must cease, how do you stop it? Praying and committing to God stops the cycle, we must tell our children the importance of being married, parenthood, and being a family.

Thought for the day: Thousands and thousands of children grow up hating their father’s for no apparent reason, not knowing how they were actually born and feeling the father abandon them. Many many women talk about the struggles of raising children alone and working 2 and 3 jobs and talk about how God brought them through and how they depend on God, but at what point does the mother tell the child the actual truth of how they were born? Does the woman keep the actual truth away from the child because she is embarrassed? While making confessions to God and attending church, at what point does the mother explain to the child they were born a bastard? Biblically speaking that is, if the generational curse is to break and we want the best for our kids, something has to give.

Thought for the day: Just as the beauty of a woman
