Still Believing:God is Real!!! - Anthony Russell

    Introduction

Still Believing: God is Real is a continuation of words from my Heart that I believe will help everyone that reads this book to feel God’s presence at all times. For God is Real and not some imaginary fairy tale that many people would have you to believe. Take some time out today and talk to God, he would love to hear from you.

I dedicate this book to my Awesome Grandmother Virginia Riley, there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about her and how she laid a solid foundation for me to follow…

Searched all over…couldn't find nobody…I looked high and low…still couldn't find nobody. Nobody greater…nobody greater than you…

    Have You Tried Jesus?

From my distress I called on The Lord, He answered me and set me in a large place. The Lord is for me, I will not fear, what can man do to me (Psalm 118:5-6)

In this life, we will all face situations that we never thought could happen to us. Often one of the first things we say is, The devil is so busy, because surely it could only be the devil that has put us in this predicament.

    The devil? Really?

When we were doing well, everything was peaches and cream, and we were living on Fantasy Island, we didn't have any time for God. We may have spent ten minutes a day with God, but life was so good that those 10 minutes turned to 5 minutes, then to none. But now that we’re in distress, we say it’s the Devil. I am reminded of the scripture that says the devil goes back and forth, seeking whom he may devour—therefore, he can't be everywhere all the time. He is not God. Stop giving the devil all that credit. Have you ever thought that maybe it was God trying to get your attention, trying to get you to regain your focus? No, because we want to think that God would never put us in a situation that is uncomfortable or that seems hopeless. However, circumstances that feel hopeless to man may be part of God’s divine plan for our lives.

God told Jeremiah, for I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God has a plan for our lives, and we must line up with his word and follow him. When will we realize that God puts us in difficult situations so that his name will be the only name to be praised?

Consider the story of Joseph. His brothers were so jealous because their father loved Joseph more that they planned to kill him. However, they sold Joseph into slavery, and he ended up in Egypt. Soon thereafter he found himself in prison for two years because of a lie, but even in that situation, Joseph continued to serve the true and living God. How many of us are willing to go through the fire for the true and living God? Unlike us, Joseph served God when he was on the mountain top and when he was in the valley. Because of his obedience to God Joseph, became second in command in Egypt. It was God who allowed Joseph to go to prison, not the devil. For the word declares, "And we know that
