Easy Indian Recipes for Everyone - Sourabh Aryabhatta
Banana Malpoa
Banana Malpoa is a traditional Indian recipe. Here we have modified it a little so that it requires a little oil. Additionally we have used the iron-rich Jaggery instead of sugar. In next Chaitra Sankranti festival you may try for the kids in your family.
Ingredients
* Suji: 100 g
* Flour: 50 g
* Banana : 1
* Jaggery: 250 g
* Oil: For Heavy Frying
Method
* Mix the Suji, which has been soaked in water for an hour in advance, with the flour and mashed banana. It is called dollop
.
* Add jaggery in it and very little water (if needed). Heat oil in a pan. When oil is fully hot (you will see vapor on oil), drop medium-sized dollops of the batter using a ladle. Fry them until they become golden brown in color. Serve all these crispy Malpoa with small pieces of banana.
