About this ebook

Giving Thanks is #8 in The Adventures of Dick Ryder series.

Fall has come and with the yard work and the changing of seasons, Dick Ryder is becoming philosophical and melancholic. He hasn't seen Janet for a while. She's still smarting, and Dick thinks he's ruined his chances with her.

But he's still thinking and wishing that as Halloween comes he'll get to turn a trick with his ultimate treat. He would love to enjoy both mom and daughter at the same time.

And what do you know, on his trip to the store to pick up Halloween candy it looks like his wish might just get fulfilled. He stumbles upon a gorgeous mother and her daughter, eying the candy in the candy isle.

Will he be able to use his super power to get them home and into his bed? Maybe, if he hasn't lost his touch.

But what about Janet? She comes over on Halloween, but is it a trick or a treat that she's got in store for Dick Ryder? Depends on how well he plays his cards.

As you can see I'm a bit of a book nerd. I love reading romance and erotica especially. I also write mostly erotica as you can tell. I enjoy quiet evenings at home with my partner watching movies and eating extra buttery popcorn. When I'm not reading or writing I knit. Mostly I knit dog sweaters, and human scarves and sweaters and I give them as gifts to family and friends. I live with my boyfriend and two Bichon Frise bitches. Sometimes when I'm thinking of different romantic scenes for my books we try them out to see how much fun they are first ;) If you'd like to get a hold of me you can reach me at candynytes at gmail dot com.

The tickle of fall could be felt in the morning air. The leaves were turning rusty. Oranges, yellows, and even reds were filling up my yard. I loved the colors. I had spent the last few days in my yard raking leaves and pulling out plants that had died or were dying. This was the circle of life I suppose. The dying so that new things could be reborn in the spring. It always gave me pause at this time of year to think about that.

And my thoughts turned to Janet and me. It had felt that at one time we were in the blooming, blossoming stage of a relationship. Lately though, it seemed like the old, shaky hand of autumn was sticking a knife into the guts of our fragile beginnings.

I knew that Janet must have been back by now. I had seen her car in the drive and then it had disappeared. It had been over a week since she left for her last business trip and I hadn't known her to be gone for longer than a week at a time. Not that I was intimately familiar with her schedule,
