With so much of the poetry written as free verse today, rhyming seems a welcome exception.
In addition, Gordon has incorporated double rhyming in the cadence of his poems. Many feature words that rhyme within a sentence, as well as its end. This is meant to enhance the reader’s appreciation of rhyming.
