His rhythmic background was established while he was in high school, where he served as a section leader during his last two years. He began his transition from marching drums to drum kit in early 2016, after playing a philanthropic show with Willie Pearl members Henry Rogers and Ben Murphy. With a southern rock style underlaid with tones of the blues, he cites John Bonham, Don Henley, and Dave Grohl as inspiration.view less
