In 2014, I decided to leave the frozen tundra for Tampa, Florida where I could play, practice and teach year round. For 17 years, I was a Wisconsin high school golf coach and developed a very successful program including 3 state championships and two state runner-up finishes. In an average summer over my instruction career I gave 200 + lessons, conducted numerous junior camps, clinics, and specialty seminars. I have presented to coaches in Minnesota and Wisconsin numerous times detailing what I have developed in my “Complete Golfer” manual. One of my greatest assets is in understanding how people learn. This is derived from my 24 years as a professional educator and coach. This has given me the knowledge in how to adapt, modify, and approach each individual golf student based on their learning style, interest, and ability. My greatest reward in golf instruction, just like classroom instruction, is when I see that “click”; that “aha” moment when a student understands what I’m trying to convey to them. My students have said that I have a very simple way in how I discuss and present the golf swing. I believe that simplicity is best when trying to describe a sport in which every part of the body moves in order to hit a little ball with a little club face. Even Bob Rotella said that hitting a golf ball toward the desired target is a minor miracle. My goal is to make those minor miracles everyday occurrences for all of my golf students. My book has in depth discussion about goals and aspirations trying to lead you on both the correct mental and physical road to becoming a “Complete Golfer”. “The Complete Golfer” manual is an interactive book in that it allows you space to note, write, highlight, and truly think about what you want out of this great game. “The Complete Golfer” is a compilation of what I’ve learned, read, and put into practice since age eight when my dad put a golf club in my hands and said “Hit it”.view less
