I became sole owner when I moved to Arizona in 2001. I let the company go dormant when I started to work with my life partner at the time.A number of years ago, I got the urge to branch out and revive the company, giving it a new twist. I spent a lot of time thinking about what I truly enjoyed doing and what gifts I wanted to share with people. As a nurturer, I love to help people lighten their load and move from chaos to clarity. Be it in their planning, their organizing, their writing, or their lives. The JOY workshops came about by chance. A friend was given one of my workshops as a birthday gift. Once a date was picked, I sent out a list of questions to participants, based on my Leading and Living with Purpose workshop. The reaction of the birthday girl – who was turning 70 – was immediate: "I've worked a lot on myself over the decades and I really don't want to anymore." Another participant revealed: "I don't know everyone and I don't really feel like going that deep with strangers."Oh Oh. I was in trouble. How could I turn this around? It came to me that in the past year, JOY had been my guiding light. I came up with a different set of questions and thus was born the JOY workshop.Everyone had a great time exploring what brought them joy. And the different perspectives gave all of us new ideas for adding more joy to our lives. My creative juices have been flowing ever since. Who knows where and when it will end? I'm shooting for a minimum of 15 years. I'll be ready for another transition by the time I turn 89!I look forward to your joining me in exploring what brings you joy.
