He is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University, Asbury Theological Seminary, and holds a PhD from Andrews University (Religious Education). He has served as an adjunct professor at Olivet Nazarene University and Eastern Nazarene College. Currently he teaches in Northwest Nazarene University's online program.
