Billy Anderson began his career with a Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. He then went on to earn a Bachelor of Divinity degree from ...view moreBilly Anderson began his career with a Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. He then went on to earn a Bachelor of Divinity degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and a Master of Science degree from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. He joined the United States Army and attended the United States Army Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, where he earned a degree in military science. Twenty out of twenty-two years were spent serving as US Army chaplain, where he attained the rank of major. After retiring from the army, he served as Protestant chaplain at Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas.
At the age of eighteen, and while attending Sunnyside Baptist Church in Denison, Texas, Billy was saved and heeded the call to the ministry. He has pastored churches in Texas for the past fifty-seven years and is currently the pastor of Victory Baptist Church in Groesbeck, Texas.
He and his wife, Dene, live in Thornton, Texas, where they enjoy frequent visits from their wonderful grandchildren who live nearby.view less
