He was the sixth child of Mose Walter McBride and Velma Almeda (Croom) McBride. He attained a Doctorate in Religion from the University of Life Church in Modesta, California.
He was employed by the Illinois Central Railroad for 17 years. He continued to farm and pastored as many as five churches that were directly under his pastoral ministry. He married Lizzie Embary (Smith) McBride in 1925. They were married for 60 years prior to her death in 2004. They had eight children.
He served the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. (PCAF) organization in various capacities for over forty years, helping to guide the PCAF into becoming a viable organization.
He fulfills the scripture as a Bishop, showing himself to be full of hospitality, very capable in teaching and an Apostolic preacher standing among the best (Tim. 3:2).view less
