Donna Jean Scanio was born in Rochester, New York and grew up in a rural area in Western New York State. She has 2 grown sons and currently resides with her father in New York.

She has a Bachelor of Professional Studies from Empire State College at The State University of New York at Fredonia and has a Masters of Science in Education and Advanced Masters of Science in Education in Counseling from St. Bonaventure University, St. Bonaventure, New York.
Her work background includes working with disadvantaged youth at Maryville Academy in DesPlaines, Illinois, using the Boystown Program, Drug and Alcohol Counselor for women in Hastings, Nebraska, and a Resident Counselor and Activity Coordinator at Hastings College. She is currently working as a Guidance Counselor in Western New York for the past 16 years.
Her passion is to give people information to help them understand themselves better. Her hope is that this information will help people become more successful in life. You can get a glimpse of this philosophy in her first book, published in December 2004, called “Respect, Responsibility and Reward”.view less
