She studied French and spent a summer living in France to develop fluency in the language before changing her major and graduating from Indiana University with a B.A. in speech pathology and audiology.
She has a master's degree in audiology from the University of Louisville, where she taught as a clinical instructor in audiology for five years in their graduate speech and hearing program. Her passion to learn led her to enroll in evening law school. During this time in her career as an audiologist, she was assigned to perform hearing evaluations at the University Hospital Otolaryngology Clinic. Working with hospital patients and medical residents ignited a passion for medicine. She finished a semester of law school and immediately enrolled in evening pre-med classes for the next two years, prior to being admitted to the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
She completed a six-month internship in internal medicine and a year of pathology training before completing her dermatology residency and dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.
As a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist, Dr. Glenchur worked for eight years in a private group practice seeing patients and diagnosing biopsies and surgical specimens, before being called to be a stay-at-home mom.
Dr. Glenchur served in numerous volunteer capacities at the Christian college prep academy her children attended, in addition to being an active participant in the mothers' intercessory prayer group for ten years. She stepped down from her leadership role in the prayer group to serve on their Board of Trustees for the past four years.
She has been a team leader on multiple Youth Power Invasion mission trips to Brazil with Randy Clark and Global Awakening. As a result of these mission trips, she is passionate about praying for physical and inner healing, and loves serving as a spiritual mentor especially to young adults. She was recently invited to serve as a medical associate for the Global Medical Research Institute, which was begun by Randy Clark for the purpose of documenting medical miracles.
Prayer is Dr. Glenchur's number-one passion, and as such she is active in several intercessory prayer groups. She has taught a number of Bible studies and is passionate about teaching others to hear God and involve Him in their decision making.
When she is not writing or reading, she enjoys creating handcrafted greeting cards and playing with the family's Maltese dog and pet flying squirrel. She and her husband, Tom, have two children and live in Ohio.
