With encouragement of her English teacher, she began to compile her work during her first year of secondary school. Alongside poetry as a main hobby, Nicole has also found a passion for music; she has played the piano from an early age. Other hobbies of hers include swimming, learning to speak new languages, cooking, and computing.
Some of her poetry has been selected to be published as a part of a Young Writers compilation. Her main influences being inspiration from her family, local school, and from a wide range of authors and poets, including Shakespeare and Roald Dahl. Her style and tone of writing is characteristic and descriptive, suitable for young readers to appreciate and enjoy. Many of her poems had been stimulated by the excitement of viewing things through young eyes and personal experiences.view less
