About this audiobook
She's looking for the perfect man. He's looking for the perfect victim.
Sydney Shaw, like every single woman in New York, has terrible luck with
dating. She’s seen it all: men who lie in their dating profile, men who
stick her with the dinner bill, and worst of all, men who can't shut up
about their mothers. But finally, she hits the jackpot.
Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet.
Then the brutal murder of a young woman?the latest in a string of deaths across the coast?confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.
Sydney should feel safe. After all, she is dating the guy of her dreams. But she can’t shake her own suspicions that the perfect man may not be as perfect as he seems. Because someone is watching her every move, and if she doesn’t get to the truth, she’ll be the killer’s next victim...

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Book was a 4⭐️. Recording was a 2 ⭐️because it cut off about 10 pages short.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Hmmmmm, I'm not sure how I feel about this one ? ? I enjoyed the story, but the twist wasn't very twisty, and I figured most of it out early on (which I do enjoy). The 1 thing I was wrong about was (without giving anything away) Slug. I couldn't put it down, so that's saying something, lol!! I do love me some Freida Mcfadden! The only reason it's 4 stars is because my jaw didn't drop upon reveal since I assumed almost all of it. The Slug thing wasn't super shocking. It could have gone in so many directions, I do like the way it went ?

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I didn’t think this book was good at all. I usually love this authors work but this one was a disappointment.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was my first Friday McFadden book, now I understand the hype. Will be reading lots more of her work. Fantastically written. Great plot twists
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good story line BUT Frieda disappointed me with this one...Ending was blah...the twist were predictable as I have read enough frieda to figure some things out...I've read much better from her....maybe I need a frieda break ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5She is the best at suspenseful thrillers always keeps me on my toes. I read this book in two days and that’s only because I took breaks but excellent excellent read.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Slow to get exciting and then a super rushed ending. Was easy listening but wouldn’t rave about it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I thought I had it all figured out, and boy, was I wrong. It definitely took a surprising turn.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Greta till the very last minute. Definitely enjoyed this book!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great read !! Had me fooled right till the end
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Ehh. I dont have much to say that is "good" about this book, except in true Freida fashion, I really didn't see that twist there at the end. Though, I thought I had this book figured out early on.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The story was good . The ending was shocking. My assumptions were off . The main character was a bit annoying to me.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love a good book that can tell more than one story at once that ties together. I also like how the author keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to guess who it is. This is a definite recommend for me.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Omg Frieda is just amazing bff but this book!!!!! Lord all the twist and turns… amazing book and thriller aspect 5 stars
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I think I have to break up with Freida. She usually saves them with a good twist, but this one was tough to get through.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved it! Freida always surprises me each and every time I think I have the plot figured out!! Bravo!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Typically a huge fan of Frieda McFadden but this one was not as good in my opinion. I did not find any of the characters likeable and was not rooting for any of them. I found the main female character to be too self deprecating and lacking in common sense. I know this is fiction and for entertainment but some things were just too far fetched for my taste. I almost gave up on this several times but kept with it to discover the twist that Freida is so well known for. I had figured out a few but did appreciate the very end. If you are a Freida fan and are okay with an unrealistic plot you will most likely enjoy this book as there are a few twists that will keep you entertained.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The twist and turn will leave you guessing till the end. Who did it?
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was simply okay, could have been better. Time to move on
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I normally love Freida’s books but this one was an exception. The main character is so unlikeable and plain dumb. It was hard to get through the whole thing. I almost gave up a few times. There was an ok twist you don’t see coming but not exciting enough to make up for the rest of the book.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The plot twist was there but I was not impressed.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Typical Ms. Freida mind twists here. But I love that the more I read her books, the better I get at guessing the plot twists. It’s always a great read, each book its own brand of twisted but maybe we need a little bit of that in life.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I did not see the ending coming!!!! Loved the surprise at the end
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5typical McFadden - twisty, listened to in 2 sittings, kept me interested All the way through, just fun, nothing too deep, like a lifetime movie in audiobook form
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another great book from Freda! Love a good plot twist.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Oh it’s just really bad. Just not good at all
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5completley shocked at the ending! Thought I had it figured out and man I was wrong! This was so good!
