About this audiobook

She's looking for the perfect man. He's looking for the perfect victim.

Sydney Shaw, like every single woman in New York, has terrible luck with

dating. She’s seen it all: men who lie in their dating profile, men who

stick her with the dinner bill, and worst of all, men who can't shut up

about their mothers. But finally, she hits the jackpot.

Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet.

Then the brutal murder of a young woman?the latest in a string of deaths across the coast?confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.

Sydney should feel safe. After all, she is dating the guy of her dreams. But she can’t shake her own suspicions that the perfect man may not be as perfect as he seems. Because someone is watching her every move, and if she doesn’t get to the truth, she’ll be the killer’s next victim...

Book was a 4⭐️. Recording was a 2 ⭐️because it cut off about 10 pages short.

Hmmmmm, I'm not sure how I feel about this one ? ? I enjoyed the story, but the twist wasn't very twisty, and I figured most of it out early on (which I do enjoy). The 1 thing I was wrong about was (without giving anything away) Slug. I couldn't put it down, so that's saying something, lol!! I do love me some Freida Mcfadden! The only reason it's 4 stars is because my jaw didn't drop upon reveal since I assumed almost all of it. The Slug thing wasn't super shocking. It could have gone in so many directions, I do like the way it went ?
    (Trying not to give spoilers!!)

Good story line BUT Frieda disappointed me with this one...Ending was blah...the twist were predictable as I have read enough frieda to figure some things out...I've read much better from her....maybe I need a frieda break ?

Ehh. I dont have much to say that is "good" about this book, except in true Freida fashion, I really didn't see that twist there at the end. Though, I thought I had this book figured out early on.

The story was good . The ending was shocking. My assumptions were off . The main character was a bit annoying to me.

I love a good book that can tell more than one story at once that ties together. I also like how the author keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to guess who it is. This is a definite recommend for me.

I think I have to break up with Freida. She usually saves them with a good twist, but this one was tough to get through.

Typically a huge fan of Frieda McFadden but this one was not as good in my opinion. I did not find any of the characters likeable and was not rooting for any of them. I found the main female character to be too self deprecating and lacking in common sense. I know this is fiction and for entertainment but some things were just too far fetched for my taste. I almost gave up on this several times but kept with it to discover the twist that Freida is so well known for. I had figured out a few but did appreciate the very end. If you are a Freida fan and are okay with an unrealistic plot you will most likely enjoy this book as there are a few twists that will keep you entertained.

I normally love Freida’s books but this one was an exception. The main character is so unlikeable and plain dumb. It was hard to get through the whole thing. I almost gave up a few times. There was an ok twist you don’t see coming but not exciting enough to make up for the rest of the book.

Typical Ms. Freida mind twists here. But I love that the more I read her books, the better I get at guessing the plot twists. It’s always a great read, each book its own brand of twisted but maybe we need a little bit of that in life.
